5 stars for SPC Construction & Roofing

I received cosmetic/marring damage from the 2024 Memorial Day hail storm to my DECRA stone-coated steel roof. A representative from a roofing company (not SPC) knocked on my door and was convinced I had damage and that insurance would provide a new roof. After dragging my feet for a while and being skeptical of companies that show up at your doorstep to solicit services, I finally decided to contact a few companies in the area for free estimates.

I had three businesses come by and inspect the roof. Two of the three agreed with the initial company that my roof would qualify for a new roof. Any of the three that suggested a new roof, including the one that initially solicited service, probably would have done a fine job, but I went with SPC. Each company suggested a different brand of metal roof with their own pros/cons, which made the process of choosing one a little more difficult. At least for me, I don't feel qualified to understand these differences. However, they did each say that they would install whatever brand we wanted. Ultimately, SPC had suggested DECRA, which again is what we already had, and it had performed well for 22 years, so we went with them. Further, Jonathan, the owner, and his team were very pleasant in their pitch, including committing to helping with issues that went beyond the storm damage. We've had issues with rodents and squirrels in the attic, and they promised to ensure the roof would no longer be a source of entry.

Throughout the process, Jonathan worked closely and directly with the insurance company to ensure they covered all damage. He took care of all of this. When the time came to perform the work, the guys were great. They removed my existing metal roof and underlying wood shakes and installed new roof decking in one day. It took about 4-5 more days to install the new metal roof, and the gutters followed a few days later. During this time, they did address areas of the fascia that needed repair and replaced an area of siding that had damage - all beyond the scope of the insurance claim. Chris, the project manager, and Darren, and Jonathan would stop by often to check and monitor the status. I would even see Jonathan walking around picking up trash and debris, actively demonstrating his commitment to excellence and quality.

After it was done, I was present when the city inspector came by. He stared at the roof for a while and was very impressed at the work. Additionally, we contacted a wildlife removal company to get more advice and an estimate on how to resolve the attic rodent problem. The representative was also impressed by the work, and had no roof-related recommendations that would prevent critter entry; the roof is sealed up.

I'm hopeful the roof continues to perform as good as it looks, but I'm confident SPC would return to address any issues that arise. I would highly recommend SPC Construction and Roofing and would gladly use them again.

I was very satisfied with my experience from scheduling the estimate, to getting the work done, everything went very smooth. I am glad SPC Construction & Roofing was willing to do my roof replacement. Had a hard time finding anyone before contacting Darren Wells with SPC. Great communication by the Project Manager Darren Wells. SPC did quality work in a timely fashion. Will definitely recommend SPC Construction & Roofing to others.

Terrible experience with this company. They replaced my hail damaged roof however it leaked. They refused multiple times to address thier poor quality work. I have all the emails supporting my claim. Today I am paying another company out of my pocket to replace the damage caused by water leaking into my home for the last 2 years.

SPC was one of 3 roofing companies my insurance company recommended for quality, honesty and results. I had 2 out to my house after and big storms.
Dennis from SPC stood out for his knowledge and straightforward communication. I didn't need a new roof for another couple of years. After another storm and wind damage, Dennis and SPC came out and quickly repaired the roof and determined it was time had come to replace it. They guided me through the process and worked closely with my insurance. They had great communication and were always on time and responsive. They did a great job! A huge shout out to Dennis, Chris, Ryan and the whole crew.

As a result of hail damage in the spring of 2024, Jonathan at SPC persistently worked with our insurance company to identify the damage to the roof and support the claims process. After approval of the claim, SPC promptly scheduled the tear-off and replacement of the new metal roofing material. The whole process was handled very professionally and completed on schedule with a high-level of quality. As a homeowner, it was a a good experience and I would highly recommend SPC to anyone else needing a roof replacement.

Darren Wells and his crew were awesome. Quick, reliable, communicative and very responsive to our needs. The roof looks great!! I highly recommend SPC Construction and Roofing.

Over the past ~10 years we have done four roof replacements through SPC on three different properties. Each and every time they impress us with their professionalism, quality work and thorough execution of the repairs. Darren has been our point of contact for every project and he is a pleasure to work with. He takes what could easily be a cumbersome, frustrating process and makes it painless. We would highly recommend them for anyone needing roof repairs.

Working with SPC Construction and Roofing was a great experience!

Dennis Hudson is very knowledgeable and went above and beyond by ensuring I was completely satisfied. Thank you for addressing all my questions and concerns and being so honest and transparent.

SPC offered high-quality products and materials at a competitive price. The communication during the entire process was very clear, and I liked the fact that they provided me with the options that aligned with my particular needs and preferences. The entire process was thorough, straightforward and with no delays. The project was a full roof replacement, including fascia and gutter replacement. After signing the contract, the project was completed within two weeks. Tino, Angel, and the crew did a great job! They are very organized, courteous, and also careful avoiding any property damage. Everything was spotless after the job was completed.

I highly recommend working with SPC Construction and Roofing.

Jonathan and his crew were wonderful through the whole process! They were extremely helpful and even took time to speak with and work with our insurance.
The day they came to replace our roof, the entire crew was very quick and courteous. I was most impressed by how clean they left everything. I expected to have to walk around the house and pick up a few pieces left over but they did an amazing job of cleaning up everything before they left. I would highly recommend them!

They replaced our roof back in 2019 and they give us 10 year warranty. We had leak from dryer vent back in 2024 they came and just sealed the crack in plastic. We had leak on Sunday June 8 2025 in while it was raining we notice leak from same place they repaired in 2024. Chris came over and said it’s because of hole in dryer vent cap but it was same crack and wanted 400 to 500$ to fix it. Chris is same tech that fixed it in first place. I called another roofing company and they fixed it for 300$ with much better product. I would never call them again.

Mike with SPC was great to work with. Very thorough and made the process of working with insurance, and getting our new roof go smoothly. The workers showed up on time and did a great job of install and clean up. Was very impressed and pleased with everything!!

Sadly my experience with SPC was not a positive one. To give credit where it is due, the roof work was fine and I believe that I now have good quality shingles. Early on communication was good and they were punctual with planned meetings.

Now for issues – first one seems minor, but they did not do a great job capturing nails after the roof replacement. While they did spread tarps to capture the nails/debris, they were shredded (likely) from prior jobs. I ended up picking up nail myself (filling a small coffee can) and ended up with two flat tires within weeks of the job. Naturally the nails (in my tires) could have come from anywhere, but worth mentioning given the timing.

My primary issue arose when closing out the finances. They verbally admitted to me that they made billing errors when invoicing my insurance company and they (SPC) had written off any subsequent insurance payments as non collectible. Rather than partnering with me to resolve things with my insurance company (which I would have gladly done), my salesman became confrontational and expected me to pay the delta that his mistake seemingly caused. Ultimately I had to do his job and resolve things by running interference between the SPC owner and my insurance company. This may seem trivial, but equated to months of frustrating back and forth.

In the end, everything worked out, but my SPC rep really dropped the ball with my project. I was torn between 2 and 3 stars, but elected to go with 3 based on the owners willingness to step in to work towards a resolution and small courtesies extended thru this process.

SPC did a great job on our roof. We are so pleased with the way it turned out and were pleased with the shingle color choices. Zack King was persistent in working hard with the insurance company to ensure that our claim was handled appropriately. Zack provided great supervision to the crew and they completed the job in one day! We highly recommend SPC Construction and Roofing

EDIT: This owner is very unprofessional, take a minute to look at the reviews if you are considering this business. My review and my father's review (we both have the same last name on here) are very much real reviews. This owner also ignores calls. Be careful who you deal with because you are dealing with a liar. If I need to post my billing statement with the business name attached I will do so just to show how real my review is. This man can't seem to handle when a customer is not pleased instead he lies and puts we are scammers when he knows exactly who we are.

This is a 9 year old roof that has lifetime warranty we had a leak so we called this company they charge me $4,500 to fix the roof but as you see in these pictures the roof has not been done properly and they will not honor the warranty. I would not do business with these people again.

Fast, fair and A+ quality. Denis and his team were great. They're highly dependable and there work is stellar. If you have roofing needs there the one's to call

SPC Construction and Roofing did an outstanding job on my home! They not only put on a brand new roof but also handled several other projects around the house with the same level of care and professionalism. Darren and his crew worked quickly, efficiently, and were incredibly respectful throughout the entire process. The quality of their work is excellent, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I would highly recommend SPC Construction and Roofing to anyone in need of roofing or home improvement services—you’ll be in great hands!

After the hail storm in March 2024, I wanted to upgrade to a more durable roof. After thorough research, I decided on a Decra stone coated steel product. I was recommended to SPC Construction by Decra and very grateful for the recommendation. Stan was very hands on while my roof was being installed and made the process very smooth. I couldn’t be happier with the finished product. I highly recommend SPC Construction. They are the BEST in the business.

Stan, project manager, was quick, reliable, professional, and communicative, as well as very hands on while my roof was being installed and made the process very smooth. I’m so happy that I chose SPC construction and roofing to install my new roof and gutters! We were hit with a hail storm in Colleyville and between the customer service, quality of workmanship, and how respectful all crew members and my sales man Jonathan Shaw was is truly top-notch! We could not be happier and so glad we chose them! I will definitely be telling all my neighbors and friends about them. They are the BEST!!!

Outstanding crew! Jonathan, Tino, and the team repainted our exterior, and the results exceeded expectations. They were punctual, professional, courteous, and left the area clean at the end of each day. We would absolutely hire them again—next project is our fence!

5/5 Stars – Exceptional Service from SPC Construction & Roofing
SPC Construction & Roofing, led by the outstanding project manager Stan Hare, delivered an exceptional re-roofing experience for my home, and I wholeheartedly give them a 5/5-star rating. Using Decra metal shingles installed over my existing (slightly) hail-damaged roof, SPC provided a solution that not only addressed the damage but also significantly improved insulation. Despite some roofing specialists questioning this approach, the result has been transformative—my attic stays cooler in summer and my home warmer in winter, proving the value of this innovative method. Stan’s leadership was pivotal to the project’s success. He went above and beyond, coordinating additional tasks and offering creative solutions to complex challenges. Key highlights include:
Flawless Execution: SPC delivered on schedule, within budget, and precisely to the agreed scope, with no surprises.
Innovative Problem-Solving: Stan facilitated the removal and reinstallation of my solar panels, preserving the mounting feet and seamlessly integrating them with the new metal roof—a solution other contractors deemed impossible.
Aesthetic Expertise: Stan’s recommendation for an all-black roof unified my home’s appearance, reducing visual clutter and enhancing curb appeal.
Extraordinary Coordination: Beyond roofing, Stan managed the replacement of damaged front screens and a gas grill, ensuring every detail was handled with care.

SPC’s commitment to “getting to yes” and Stan’s proactive, customer-focused approach made this project a resounding success. Their professionalism, reliability, and dedication to quality set them apart. I strongly endorse SPC Construction & Roofing for anyone seeking top-tier roofing services and a team that delivers beyond expectations.
