Tree reviews in Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas

It is so rare anymore to find a service provider (in any business) that is knowledgeable, friendly, reliable, and delivers a high-quality service that meets expectations at a reasonable price. I am happy to endorse Lawson Eddy and Central Texas Tree Service for doing just that. Within a total of 4 days, Lawson came out to provide an estimate (along with arborist expertise and insights about trimming live oaks), offered a courtesy discount as a first-time customer, and had his crew out to actually do the work. His price was extremely fair (compared to others), and my trees have never looked better. I would not hesitate to use Central Texas Tree Service again or recommend them to anyone who needs tree work.

We had storm damage causing a large branch to fall on our barn. We called Texas Tree Service and Lawson came out to give us a bid. We were going to get other bids but after speaking with him we felt he was the right person for the job. He educated us about the process and assured us all would go well. He and his crew are top notch professionals who know what they are doing. Lawson is also an Arborist, which showed in how he meticulously cut the tree so as to minimize any further damage to the barn. His price was also a great value considering all the work that went into removing the branch and tree, which was 40+ feet tall. I would recommend him without hesitation and will use them in the future.

We recently met with Lawson Eddy at our home in Boerne regarding tree trimming. During that on site meeting he noticed what appeared to be oak wilt on a neighboring property in and near the Currey Creek greenway behind our home. Upon closer examination, he pointed out all the signs that would indicate that it was likely oak wilt. We decided then to also have the 13 live oak trees in our backyard treated for oak wilt using the latest techniques favored by Texas A&M. This is a labor intensive process that introduces preventative chemicals into the cambion layer of the trees to stop spread of the disease from the inside of the tree.

All services are now complete and we are thrilled with the results of the trimming and hoping that we achieve at least the projected (by A&M) 85% effective treatment rate on the oaks in our yard. They are a huge part of what makes our yard special and we wanted to do what we can to save them. The price was really quite reasonable and determined by the diameter of the tree at chest height. The foreman on our job, Brandon, is exceptional in knowledge, work ethic and customer service/interaction. All of the six-man crew we interacted with were professional and responsive to our questions and requests.

My wife and I recommend Central Texas Tree Service without hesitation and also recommend that you take a good look at your trees and those of your neighbors to treat them before you lose them to oak wilt.

I had 3 oak trees cut down this Monday 12/8/25 and I just want to say what a great job this crew did. Very pleasant to talk to also. Removed all 3 trees in about three and a half hours. They cleaned up the driveway and yard to perfection. If anyone is looking for tree service; I would totally recommend Central Tree Service. PS: Their prices is very competitive. Very happy in the results. Thanks

I highly recommend Lawson Eddy and his crew from Central Texas Tree Service. Lawson was able to come out the same day of our call to walk the property and give us an estimate. I really appreciated his willingness to talk through different options for the trees and the different costs for each option. Once hired, the work was done quickly, with excellent quality and clean-up. I especially liked that Lawson stayed on site working with the crew during the job. I feel like too many other companies I've used in the past send a salesman/supervisor for the bid but then just send a work crew out for the job that may or may not deliver on promises made. Not so with this company. Pricing was very fair and perfectly in line for the job needed. We will definitely use them again.

The owner Lawson Eddy is a fanominal Man. I approached him while he and his crew (who are all awsome people), we're working at a neighbors home. I asked if he could look at a tree on my property that needed lots of trimming, he obliged. He discussed what could be done and quoted a more than fair price. What shocked me is he said they could do the work immediately. And they did. Cleaned up after themselves and left my yard better than when they started. Extremely impressed , I wholeheartedly recommend his company "Central Texas Tree Service" to any one needing tree work. No need to look any further, can't get any better. Thank you again, Lawson!

Our experience with CTTS started with the business owner Lawson Eddy. A dedicated professional arborist with love and passion for this land and its beautiful live oaks of the Texas Hill Country. He came by to assess and explained to us exactly what was needed to be done to our 14 live oaks. They hadn't been properly pruned in a while and looked quite untamed. The canopy was very crowded and too far high for us to reach. We agreed to the requirements and the quote. The crew of 7 men with all the needed tools, wood chipper, sprayer to mend the cuts, but mostly professionals with knowledge and the dedication to preserve and make these special trees look their best.
They left our yard super clean and neat. Helped us move all the furniture and decorations and put it back in place afterwards. They didn't break anything and we have a lot of this and that.
My husband and I are extremely pleased with this Company and would highly recommend them to anyone who really is interested in getting the job done right!
Also, Deborah at the office was so helpful and customer service oriented.
Thank you ALL!!!

Lawson & Central Texas Tree Service are fantastic. The crew did a great job of trimming our trees as agreed upon then finished up by cleaning up every bit of the mess. We hired them because of the incredible 5.0 reviews posted & we were not disappointed. Their prices were comparable to the other estimates we got as well. We definitely will be using them again & recommend Lawson & his company to anyone needing tree services.
