Gentry Electric has done work on 2 of our homes now, and both times has been easy to work with, has done great work, and at a fair price. Recently, in our new home, we had an urgent electrical repair need during the Thanksgiving Holiday. James Gentry recognized how urgent the need was and came over to help immediately. I recommend them highly.

We have used Gentry Electric a few times over the years. Most recently, Jerid replaced all of our outdoor lighting and we are VERY PLEASED!

Jerid was prompt for the appointment, he worked steadily throughout the project and used checkpoints with us throughout to ensure that the lights were just where we wanted them positioned and were to our liking. He tested everything thoroughly with us so that we could ensure we could control the light timers with our existing outdoor pool/lighting timer, and he cleaned everything up before leaving.

Jerid had previously completed a project for us when our garage area breaker would not stay reset. He quickly identified the problem as an outdoor outlet that needed to replaced. After replacing the outlet (with one that has a more encasing protective cover), he tested everything with us to ensure all was well.

In addition to being a skilled electrician, Jerid is polite, professional and just pleasant to work with. He will be our 'go to' electrician for any future needs. HIGHLY Recommend!

I can't say enough about the service I received from James Gentry and Gentry Electric. My wife and I recently moved into an older home and we couldn't get our dryer to heat up. We were told it was due to the dryer not getting enough power. We first contacted another company, Arrow Electric, and they came out and told us they couldn't even look at the issue due to our older breaker box. They wanted $4800 to install a new breaker box . Our home inspector then recommended Gentry Electric. Mr. Gentry took a look at our breaker box, noticed a wire wasn't connected, reconnected the wire to the breaker box and got my dryer working. He also took the time to explain the issues with the older breaker box and quoted a price of $3600 to replace it. Gentry Electric saved me thousands of dollars! I'd recommend them to anyone.

I was referred to Gentry Electric by our real estate agent. I was very impressed with the responsiveness. I love that they offer an option to text. I was able to text the number and within a few hours I received a call and was able to schedule an appointment to have a grounding rod installed. On the day of the appointment, I received a call to let me know he was on his way and then within 30 mins he was done. It was quick and easy. This is my new go-to electric company moving forward and I would highly recommend Gentry Electric.

We are having our back deck redone and a new grill installed. We needed two new outlets installed. My wife also requested a new switch inside. Very happy with the work - everything went well. Experienced crew that did everything in a timely manner. Everything explained and agreed on prior to work. Everything cleaned up and both my wife and I are very happy!

Ronny and his team arrived and quickly went to work. They did exactly what I wanted (wired up a new roof exhaust fan) and even wired it directly into the breaker box as requested. They did the job quickly and were here less than an hour and charged a fair price.

Jerid was professional and so helpful. He was thorough in walking around our attic looking for rat/mice chew marks on the electric insulation to ensure our safety and saved a ton of money! We are repeat customers and will continue to do business with them. Anyone looking, look no further! I experienced an anomaly in my electrical system and lost power to one bedroom and my integrated smoke alarms, (causing the smoke alarms to go off every five minutes). I exhausted all ideas I had to fix the problem, which was resetting the breaker, which didn’t work. I called Gentry Electric and they responded within thirty minutes. Gentry Electricians immediately began troubleshooting the problem and had it resolved in about ten minutes. They were knowledgeable, professional and courteous. This is my second time using Gentry Electric and it is the only electrical company I will ever use. Great customer service!

I just had some work done at the house we recently purchased. They got right to work and installed ceiling fans, smoke alarms, new outside panel and more. Everything was done to my satisfaction. Mr. James Gentry was my original contact for the estimate and follow up. He was knowledgable and thorough. The two associates who came out to do the installation were really good at what they do. Referred to Gentry via another company about a year ago. Since that time, we have had to have lots of electrical work done on an older home. Gentry does impeccable work, are patience, professional and excellent at what they do. They are also great at communicating through out every visit. Best of all, it feels good to know we have an A+ reliable company in our corner where electrical needs are concerned. Highly recommend!

My neighbor recommended Gentry Electric to me. I called and discussed the work I needed done which was to install 8 LED recess lights and put in new ceiling fans. I got a quick response on the cost of the work and set up the appointment. They were here on time and were very professional, courteous, friendly and explained to me exactly what they were going to do. They could not complete the job because the ceiling fans I bought were not the right ones. They told me to re-order, let them know when I got them and they would come out right away to install them. Guess what? They did. Oh, one other thing. The electrician left with some paperwork I needed an drove back the very next day to make sure I got them. I have other electrical projects coming up and they have my business. By the way, my neighbor asked me if I was pleased with them because she had another friend in need of electrical work and wanted to make sure I was satisfied before she recommend them to her friend. Very pleased.

I have used the Gentry team for a kitchen remodel, bedroom and bath remodel, and outlet upgrades to the exterior/ backyard/ patio area of my house. We had Gentry Electrical come out 3 years ago, and install a transfer switch panel on our home, so we could power the place with a generator if the local electrical supply went down. Power has been out for over 2 hours now, and expected to be out for another 2+ hours.

Gentry electric installed a whole house surge protector and 2 furnace surge protectors. I have had to replace my Carrier smart thermostats multiple times and I am hopeful that the surge protectors will prevent them from frying every time there is a power outage at my house.
The technicians, Joe and Jared, arrived on time and did the work in an extremely efficient and competent manner. They explained to me the operation of the surge protectors and what the lights and alarms mean. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Gentry Electric. I recommend them highly for all things electrical.
