John and crew are doing a great job keeping my yard looking great. Very dependable and very reasonable

John was great to work with throughout the entire process. He quickly put together an estimate for my sod replacement, kept me informed of timelines, and did a wonderful job with the installation. I would definitely use him again for any landscaping projects.

John came out to give an estimate on a large project and advised us on a better process, even though it meant less revenue to his company. We hired them for a large flower bed refurbishment and preparation for planting. They did a great job, on time and left the area in good shape. Glad to have found a black owned, former military, local company. We will definitely consider him for future needs.

I had been having flooding problems on my property and Jason and his crew put me in a French drain and the problem was solved. I had previously paid over a thousand dollars to another company and didn’t get fixed. Jason was honest and fixed it for a fair price

Johnny Turner showed up yesterday and gave us a great price for the work he was going to do. Today they did the job and my yard looks beautiful again. I would recommend this company for trimming bushes, trees and weeding.

I definitely had higher hopes for working with Semper Fi but my expectations were not met. Grass is dying and John never came back to check on it after it was laid, nor was it rolled. Not a bad company but difficult to contact and stopped responding to my text. There were other issues with payments as well. I'm paying another company to bring it back to life and care for my lawn now. Fellow veteran so definitely disappointed with the service after I completed payment. Did a good job with laying rocks and initial lawn cleanup.

Update: 2/28/23
I was scheduled to meet with JT today but unfortunately that did not happen as I ended up being the only one here to look at how bad things have gotten with zoysia grass that I spent $10,000 to have laid and maintained. Not only was there no follow-up until yesterday (5 months later), but it was only because he saw my Google review that he reached out after supposedly losing my number that he suddenly found. Being a veteran and a small business owner myself, I understand the impact of these reviews so updating this is not being done lightly. The pictures attached were taken on 2/28/23. This grass was constantly watered 3 times a day for 2 months and twice 3 times a week afterwards since Sep 2022. I’m no grass expert so I did everything that I could to maintain and grow it but to no avail. You get what you pay for. I’ll be weighing all options to remedy this situation going forward. I was asked to remove this review but I will not until this is rectified, which at this point is a total refund or planting new sod. I wouldn’t recommend Semper Fi to anyone at this point and would recommend you go elsewhere for landscaping services.

John came to my rescue when I needed a small amount of sod to cover a plumbing excavation site. He recommended just the right amount and had the sod laid the same day before the rain came. I'm truly grateful for his services and immediate help. His price was a blessing also. I highly recommend him for several reasons. Thank you for your service to our country, sir.

This was my first landscaping service outside of regular lawn maintenance, and Johnny and his team did a fantastic job! They cleaned up my flower beds, trimmed shrubs, and shaped trees. They went above and beyond to make sure that my yard looked incredible. They even touched up my front flower bed as a bonus. I’m extremely happy with their service and professionalism. I will absolutely be using Semper Fi again!

Had new topsoil, sod, edging installed and hedges cut. John and crew did an excellent job and for a fair price. I highly recommend them for your landscaping needs.

We couldn’t be happier with the work this landscape company did! They removed a large, heavy cement patio pad from our backyard….no small task since our property sits on a hill. The crew handled everything with incredible care and precision, making sure every piece was removed safely without damaging the surrounding area. They even stacked our landscaping stones and bricks neatly and efficiently, ensuring nothing was broken or misplaced. All our plants, trees, and bushes were treated with great care, even with the large machinery they had to use. They showed up on time, worked efficiently, and left the site spotless when they were done. Highly recommend them for any tough landscape or removal job, you can tell they really know what they’re doing!
