They still didn't fix the problem and never called back. So, we still don't have heat. Buyer beware and make sure they write everything down or they will deny it. They have never made it in their window of arrival.

I only give a 2 because the tech was super nice. It first started with a $1,300 quote then quickly snowballed into being on the phone with the supervisor asking about our finances and credit..we were quoted over 20k of work. Or finance for 10 years. Get a second opinion. $100 later and a friend of a friend, its fixed in 20 min. I know we all have jobs to do and families to feed. But this felt like a sleezy way to sale something. The more I've thought about the more it felt wrong. Call the old man running his little hvac gig out of his 1990 van. Do better guys..

Technician was nice and on time. Tried to figure out where one wire went and charged me an extra 150 bucks for wire tracing fee. Paid $220 for a service called i was told would be 79 dollars. I had already replaced the bad part but was having issues with the outside unit. Was told the fan motor might be bad and was quoted $4500 dollars to buy a new one.

It’s very upsetting that I have to leave this bad review. When we got our new hvac system redone by. One hour air last year the service was great and they arrived a bit later than expected but the installation was done the day of our appointment without a problem. Now one year later we have been playing phone tag with them about a maintenance service appointment we have scheduled twice this week and no one showed up. No call or anything we have been leaving messages and have gotten no response.

Finally they ended showing almost at 6:00pm
and it cost me $500+. My unit was not even repaired.

Our heater stopped working on Monday night so my husband called Tuesday to have a technician come out. They did respond quickly and quoted us $550 to fix our unit, with included a $300 part they did not have on hand. The technician told my husband he would order the part and they would get it the next day (Wednesday) and come back to replace it. By Thursday evening, we heard nothing so I called and was told they were still waiting on the parts department to get the part and they were at their mercy. I understood this but the guy on the phone did not seem to care about much other than getting me off the phone and was short and annoyed when I asked questions. He ended up telling me we would get a same day appointment as soon as the part was in. I requested to speak with someone at the parts department to try and figure out the hold up and he said he would send a message for someone to call me first thing in the morning. Well, no one called me first thing in the morning but I did get a call at 2:50 saying the part was in. I was in the middle of a class and couldn’t step out so I had my husband call. He literally called 10 min later and they told him it was too late get get the part before the warehouse closed (which I was told they close at 5 so that’s 2 hours to get the part). They told my husband they wouldn’t come until Monday and we were reaching freezing temperatures over the weekend, plus I have a baby at home. I called back to try and get them sooner and was on hold for several minutes before someone else answered and she said she was going to put me on hold to try and expedite us. While I was on hold, the call disconnected (not sure if they hung up on me or it was an accident or what). Due to me being in class, I had to resort to texting the number because I couldn’t keep stepping out and when I tried calling again, I was on hold forever. Through text I was told different things. Initial one being it was our fault because they called to schedule us and by the time we called back, it was too late. I pointed out we called 10 min later then the story changed to their technician was on a job and couldn’t leave. I asked why no one else could just get the part but was never provided an answer. They were very dismissive about us having a child at home with freezing temperatures coming. I was asked why I couldn’t just use our upstairs heater (we do have two, but our upstairs is currently not useable because of moving and renovations). I decided to call A1 air for a second opinion in hopes that maybe they would have the needed part and get us fixed before the weekend. Well the second technician showed me what was wrong and it was a complete misdiagnosis on the one hour air. They diagnosed it as the pressure switch but the new tech couldn’t even test the pressure switch because the control board was fried and wires were burnt. When I told one hour air that I needed to cancel them coming Monday because the part they ordered wouldn’t fix the problem due to a misdiagnosis, all they said was “thanks for letting us know”. No offer to take a second look or do anything.

Fair warning, this company has good reviews and they used to be really good. This is why I use them. But they are going downhill. A couple months back I was scheduled for just routine maintenance and I received a text message in the middle of my appointment window saying they needed to cancel me due to emergency calls. That’s totally fine and understandable. Emergency calls definitely take priority but the text told me I needed to call them to reschedule. In my mind, if you’re cancelling my appointment in the middle of my appointment window, you should be calling me to try and reschedule, but send a text telling me to call you.

We had One Hour install a new heat pump.
They said the job was finished, had to come back 30 minutes later to connect the thermostat. After weeks of haveing the unit we noticed little pieces of plastic blowing from our vents. After investigating, we found plastic inside the unit slowly drying out and flaking off. Another heating and air company came out and said they should have removed the plastic.
We have not had any follow up calls from them to see how the unit is doing or if we're pleased with there service. 0 calls! Will not use this company again. Not even for a service call.
    My advice, don't use!

Revising review from 5 to 0. Do not use this company…. I had to hire Air Worth to come in after two days later and fix EVERYTHING THEY TOUCHED. Rocky was very pleasant and seemed to be a competent technician….. BUT Rocky recommended putting 6 lbs of 410A Refrigerant in to our 5 Ton unit without do a leak check that is required (if you are a ethical company) prior to filling unit with that much Freon. 24 hrs later $800 worth of Freon was gone (plus some more) because Rocky did not bother to do a leak check. Called different HVAC company AIR WORTH to troubleshoot system that Rocky from One Hour Air did not properly diagnose or repair…. AIR WORTH did a through check of system to find out where freon was going and found a HUGE leak at the outside compressor. To make matters worse, Rocky also mis-diagnosed our heat strips as being defective …. He did not know that you have to override the “staging” of heat strips to correctly assess if any of the heat strips were not working…. Rocky incorrectly diagnosed that two out of four heat strips require replacement…. When it turns out that only two heat strips are supposed to come on (at first) if you only turn on the emergency heat at thermostat…. He did not even know that emergency heat had to be put into TEST MODE to correctly check all heat strips. Rocky is a pleasant person, but epically incompetent TO BE able to correctly diagnose HVAC problems. If I could give a “0” review I would… requested a partial refund for the Freon fill that ultimately went straight into atmosphere—- which is not supposed to happen and why thy have a stare “License” to protect the environment. REGIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE DIRECTOR Leslie Humphrey SAID NO REFUND as Rocky claimed that I declined his recommendation for a leak check…. Simply not true. If unit had been only 1 or even two pounds low then the “recommendation” would have been appropriate to suggest to customer- but he estimated it needed 6 pounds - in this situation there can be NO RECOMMENDATION at that point - it has to be a required leak check!!!! I Have filed a formal complaint with TX PUC - as this should a violation of there required “workmanship quality and professional procedures” requirements. One Hour Air is a MEGA corp company that is dangerous, incompetent, unethical, and crooked. DO NOT USE EVER!!!! You will regret it!!!!!
