Landscaping reviews in Fort Worth, Texas

Will never go to a big box garden center as long as live near Calloways! Such a broad, unique selection and for a reasonable price. Multiple sales while I was there!

Purchased a $170 7-8 foot Nordman Christmas Tree. After getting it home, I realized it was listing to one side in the stand. I attempted to correct using the stand screws, but they had clearly forced one of the screws to point of warping making the stand useless. If you go here, I would make sure the bottom of the tree is properly trimmed, and the tree properly seated prior to payment. Last year, they didn't tie the tree properly to the top of my minivan and it fell off on the freeway, on the way home. IMO, at these prices, the quality should be better.

Calloway's is a lovely place to go for creating a beautiful garden. The staff is very friendly and helpful and there is a homey, family feeling about shopping there. They have been wonderful to work with our Ryan Place Homeowners Association in our Yard of the Month Program, offering us monthly gardening tips and coupons. Thanks so much to everyone that makes Calloway's Nursery a very special place in Fort Worth.

Everything you need, and a lot you want! I needed potting soil but I wanted a lot of stuff I saw. Will power! Ehh, not so much. I ended up buying a few things that weren't on my list (and forgetting snail bait), but now I have a reason to go back to the store! Yay, me!!

I purchased some lavender plants online and 1 day later, they resold them to another customer. The store had no more to give me. I traveled very far to pick up those flowers, and the customer service was pathetic.

Awesome nursery. Very knowledgeable associates about plants trees and how to make them grow. Wife and I was very happy with the service...and military discount helps too..any business willing to help veterans is a giant plus to us...thanks

They probably have the best consumer products for landscaping/gardening at a store front that I have seen. The prices reflect it but not so much that it deters you from purchasing. Great customer service, everyone always making sure if you need help with anything.

Just got the most expensive tree I’ve ever gotten. But it is worth it! It came fully watered and wrapped in plastic and already in its tree stand. All I had to do was bring it in, unwrap it and regather! It’s a great tree and the garden center staff were especially friendly and helpful! I’ll be back!

Completed ignored. Left without the tree. Just a mess

Love this place! Although - went in to ask about Red Yuccas (didn’t know they were insanely popular) and the lady who helped me was extremely nice, but upon asking her boss about them, her boss gave a very frustrated and stern response, followed by another male coworker repeating the same thing very stern and rude to her.
It’s a shame because this place and it’s function are both beautiful. It seems like there is frustration between staff to staff and staff to manager relationships and this is quite honestly off-putting and upsetting to me as I would imagine this girl probably didn’t know and might’ve gotten her feelings hurt. I’m the naïve one that walked in, and staff shouldn’t be spoken to this way by their coworkers because of it. -
This review is focused on the convenience or lack thereof of online shopping with curbside pick-up or delivery in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. It was possible to purchase online and pick-up curbside, but the service seems to be a very low priority for this establishment. It was more hassle than it was worth. The plants were healthy though, once the order was finally fulfilled.

This nursery is not that great for indoor houseplant lovers. The never get any of the cool stock that their competitors get I.e Ruibals, Suburban Plants, Grow, etc. they are heavily involved with landscaping which starts at a hefty $600 by the way. The workers aren’t nice to indoor houseplant customers. Better off going somewhere else!! Also the employees get first pick of the goods. I hate it here.

Always love a trip to Calloway's! Tons of variety. The plants are always so healthy and beautiful. Wide variety of pots. The staff is always pleasant and willing to help. I love that they have resident feral cats they care for too.

This is a beautiful place to just hang out in on a warm summer morning. There are so many plants to see and even a plant nerd like me found a lot of surprises.
The herb section is small but the variety and health of the plants makes up for it.
I found the prices to be on par with other nurseries. The staff was very genuinely friendly. Helpful but did not hover.
I will be a regular from now on. -
The plants are beautiful and the staff is nice. If shopping, I have zero complaints. I do wish they'd revisit their policy on used cardboard boxes though. I literally just needed a few minutes to grab boxes, or even have someone toss them over the fence for me. I don't know why I couldn't snag a few for moving.

Concerned for worker safety, it is 107° outside today and I was there for only 5 minutes and felt like passing out from the heat. There’s a few fans set up but they are only blowing hot air, and don’t help alleviate the heat at all. Additionally, there’s no personal fans for cashiers either, when I was paying it still felt incredibly hot in the cashier section. I don’t know how employees are able to get through their workday without getting ill from the heat. They should add misters to the fans and provide cool and fresh areas for the employees because the working conditions seem very unsafe at the moment.

I was so excited I found some black eye Susan's here. I had been looking around for a while. They were on sale and I grabbed 2 for $20. I planned to keep them protected until the extreme heat settles down. I repoted them in bigger containers cause they were pretty large and in a smaller container. When I remove the plants they are completely root bound. It was so bad. Needless to say they did not do well. I have cut them back and hope they will reappear next year. So disappointing.

Christian was amazing today and helped us find the perfect Christmas tree! Thank you!

Wonderful nursery with a great selection on annuals, perennials, succulents, trees, bushes. There is a nice area for indoor plants and another for pots and planters. For the bird folks good selection of feed, lots of variety in fertilizers. If you need seeds, there is a whole seed house. Yes, a seed house. Location is just off of Hulen a cross the street from Trader Joe's. It's a bit tricky to pull into, but easy with not bad traffic.
The staff is outstanding and really seam to like working here! Their knowledge is always good and if they don't know they find out.
We go to several locations of Calloway's, but this location is the first we visited and we often stop back! -
I bought lots of cacti from the different stores, and I have killed them because I was a beginner. I was the beginner about three years ago. I bought the cactus three years ago from this Calloway's Nursery store. Of course, I also killed this plant. However, since this plant from this store is so strong that it revived many times.

Love love love calloways. We've never had any issues with anything we've bought there. We bought a few plum trees a few years ago and had questions. A quick call and someone helped us out, no problem. The staff is friendly as well. It's a drive but so worth it.
