This past weekend, January 4th of 2014, I had the privilege of having Legacy Moving Services handle my move in Frisco. My team consisted of Robert, Jim and Mark who were on time, professional and courteous. One of the many pleasant surprises of this experience was the speed of their work. In addition, I was grateful for their care of each item and the respect they had for my property. So, for the first time in my life of 50+ years, NOTHING was broken or even slightly damaged during a move;no dirty carpet, etc.

Lastly, Doug the owner was personally involved every step of the way, from the initial scheduling to final confirmation of satisfaction. It's always a great feeling to work with professionals!

The guys at Legacy Moving Services were amazing. They came in and hit the ground running. They had my 2 bedroom packed up moved and unloaded in 3.5 hours. I am very picky about everything. I don't want anything scratched and these guys were on top of it. Each piece of furniture was individually wrapped and moved. My dad was there and he wanted to help but there was nothing left for him to do. Great job guys!

I have been a customer of Legacy Moving Services for about 10 years and have used them several times. Doug, the owner, is very easy to work with and has done some jobs with little notice. His crews work quickly and are careful to use blankets and shrink wrap when needed. I also believe the pricing is fair. They have moved me from home to a new home a few hundred miles away, from a storage unit to another facility’s unit including a stop by my home, from a storage unit to an apartment, and most recently everything for my children’s new apartment that was delivered to my home. Next, I plan to have them move furniture in and out of rooms that are being painted. For whatever your unique needs are, Legacy Moving Services is an outstanding company to work with.

Follow-up to my review from April (posted at the end of this review). Legacy moved my family into temporary housing back in April as our house was being built. They moved us from the temp housing to our new home at the end of July. Due to issues with the finance company we did not close on time and ended up closing about 5 days late. Doug and his team worked with us through this stressful and uncertain time continually shifting schedules to work with us. When we finally closed and were ready to move Doug already had a big move scheduled that day. He still pulled together a crew and a truck to make that date work for us... I can't begin to describe how much that meant for both my wife and me.

Like before they guys showed up right on time with a truck and a van. It was a hot July day and these guys were machines moving me from the second floor apartment and moving all of our storage items. They were careful with everything they moved, always courteous and polite, and clearly cared about keeping me satisfied with the entire process. I truly can't say enough good things about the crew. Doug even stopped by after the move was underway to make sure everything was progressing to my satisfaction.

Now that we have been in the house for a couple of months and had a chance to go through everything that Legacy packed back in April and has since moved 2x, I am pleased to say zero damage. I shopped the competition extensively before we moved and am VERY glad I chose Legacy. The quality for the price has exceeded my expectations. Our neighborhood is brand new and we have met several future neighbors looking for mover referrals. Zero reservation referring Legacy and will continue to do so!

I had been communicating with Doug, the owner, and his new office assistant. Both were very responsive and very easy to work with. Doug always got back to me with any questions and always closed with... "don't worry, I will take care of you." I am glad I listened to him because he did. His team of movers showed up on time and got right to it. All were extremely polite and very hard workers. I think the move ended up taking quite a bit longer than the crew anticipated as I didn't prep as well for move day as I should have, but they never missed a beat. Other than a brief lunch break they worked hard all day. I never felt any of them were dogging it or cutting corners. Furniture going to temporary storage was wrapped as was furniture going into the apartment. Doug even showed up early to check-in on how things were going and helped out for several hours. At the end of the day Doug returned again to see how things were coming and help wrap things up as we got all of our belongings in our apartment and storage garage. As we all know moving is very stressful and the unknown of working with a company that is new to you can add to that. I appreciated that I never felt nickel and dimed by Legacy Moving and they worked with me to come up with ways to further reduce costs unlike the "Big Box" movers. The quotes from the big guys included charges of several hundred dollars to box flat screen televisions where Doug didn't have those ridiculous charges. Now that we are settled in the apartment I can now look back and appreciate how much Doug and his crew really did make this process easy for me. It is an absolute no-brainer that I will be hiring Legacy Moving again in a few months when our new house is ready.

Doug and his crew did a WONDERFUL job moving a piano for me. They arrived right on schedule, came in and took the time they needed to wrap everything up maticulously. The whole crew were friendly and very professional. Doug, the owner was also there supervising and assisting his crew. GREAT COMPANY!! Firstly, moving can be a very very tedious and frustrating thing for anyone. You can do it yourself and take forever or hire a professional to do it for you. I chose to go with Legacy Moving a.k.a The Fun Movers. Doug is a great guy and was quick to give me a quote which was fair. The best part was that it included the break-down and assembly of large pieces of furniture and also unhooking and hooking up the Washer Dryer units. There were same scratches and dents on the washer & dryer units. I thought that it could have been padded better, but that is understandable as nothing can be perfect. and if i had moved it myself I may have scratched it too as moving up a and down a flights of stairs is not easy. I had packed all my other personal items including small fragile items myself and ALL of this was in tact -no breakages at all. Some Mirrors, Flat screen TV and large photos with glass were packed by Legacy Moving staff. These were well packed and made the move in one piece. His staff is courteous and easy to work with. They will ask were things are to be placed, so have that in mind and don't start arguing with your better half because you two can't agree where something should go :) I did two moves actually - First, sold my house and moved to an apartment and after 6 months hired Legacy Moving again to move from the apartment to a new home. I would definitely recommend legacy Moving Services to anyone, needing a hassle free move.

Doug and his team made our move go amazingly well!!! Even though our closing date changed several times and we didn't know for sure that we would be able to close until 5pm the day before, they made it happen. Doug always responded promptly to my questions prior to the move and the guys showed up right on time the morning of the move. They worked tirelessly into the evening until every last item was off the truck and in place. They also gave me a great price - substantially lower than the other 2 quotes I received. I would absolutely use Legacy Moving Services again and recommend them highly!

Doug his crew were awesome. They showed up on time and even though it was a move less than a mile away, they thoroughly wrapped and protected each piece. They were quick and efficient and not a single scratch on the walls in the old house or the new house. They were all the nicest guys and Doug was very attentive to answer any questions or concerns. We will for sure call on them again. Oh they also happen to specialize in moving pianos and gun safes.

We booked their service to move within Frisco. We had to deposit $100 to confirm the booking. The per hour charges was reasonable, they send three people and one large truck for our two bedroom move. They helped us pack and they will also unpack the large items like bed, tv, sofa etc. They carry their packaging materials. Overall it was very smooth and I will recommend their service.

Legacy Moving Services are wonderful to work with and super honest! During our first move they completely rescued us from horrid movers and were amazing. We had 4 huge black men show up who were super strong, extremely friendly, and hard working (you can't really ask for more than that!). I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a stress free moving experience. We are about to use them again and it is such a relief to know we don't have to worry about our service or the care of our belongings!

I can't say enough about Doug and Thomas. Although they have moved me many times they really went above and beyond when they came to load a Uhaul for me to move across Country and due to unforeseen circumstances I found myself stuck in Oklahoma with no driver but Doug came to my rescue and drove to Oklahoma with a helper and drove my truck all the way to Montana for me. The best customer service I have ever received from anyone in the State of Texas. I highly recommend Legacy Moving Services to anyone planning a local or long distance move. Bad weather and all nothing was even broken. You guys are the best

These guys are awesome! We had a safe delivered outside of our office and they were here the next day to help us move it inside! They are very efficient and nice people, and the price wasn't too bad for a next day move. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a moving service!

I didn’t hire Legacy Moving Services. Why am I posting a five star review then? Because Doug at Legacy Moving Services was one of the few competent movers I spoke with in all of central Texas that would consider and assist in moving an excessively heavy gun safe. 2.5 tons.

Doug spent a significant amount researching and planning how to move a safe of this magnitude. His thoughts and planning made it clear he cares about safety, logistics, and doing right by his customers.

If he was closer to my house, I would have hired him. However, I ultimately found only one other mover in central Texas that could handle the project, and that company ended up being closer to my house.

In the future, I wouldn’t hesitate to hire Doug for moving services.

I was very impressed with the way that Doug and his crew packed and protected the furniture. They wrapped everything with pads and taped the pads, so they would not come off. They also wrapped the more fragile items in bubble wrap and pads. The grand piano was handled very carefully and I was surprised at how easy they made it look. Doug is very friendly and helpful, and his crew is hard-working and efficient. I would recommend Legacy Movers to anyone who wants good, reliable service.

We were happy and thankful that we went with Legacy Moving Services to move our piano. We had alot of concerns in the beginning about how we were going to move a pricey upright Kawai piano from the 2nd floor, and down a narrow wooden stairway which included a nasty turn at the end. Given that I've never dealt with moving pianos before, it was comforting to know that Doug and his crew had the experience, and that they gave me the assurance that they can handle it. They were very thorough and thought it out very carefully.

Although Doug was a little hard to get a hold of at times due to his busy schedule, he still made efforts to follow-up and work with our schedule. We had some last-minute changes, yet he was still very understanding and accommodating to meet our needs.

I would highly recommend Legacy Moving Services! They're professional, friendly, and reasonable in price.
