About the business:

A Story of Community: The Walt's Appliances Legacy.
In 1958, Walt and Gracie Minter planted the seeds of something special in Grand Prairie, Texas—a town of fewer than 20,000 souls. When neighbors struggled through hard times, Walt began rebuilding appliances to make home essentials accessible to families watching every dollar. This wasn't just business—it was about helping neighbors.
Their commitment to offering honest value became more than a strategy; it became the heart of Walt's Appliances. Through dedication to community and value, Walt and Gracie built more than a store—they created a legacy of trust that continues to serve DFW families today.
Over 66 years later, we still honor Walt and Gracie's founding principle: everyone deserves quality appliances at fair prices, backed by service you can trust. When you walk into Walt's Appliances today, you're experiencing the same commitment to value and community that helped our neighbors thrive.
