We had our old fire hazard breaker boxes changed to the safe ones. Albert and Back up Electric were wonderful and we are so pleased with their services. We will sleep better now knowing we are safe. We plan on using him in the future for other projects.

Backup Electric installed the necessary components for my generator to power my home. They were on time, professional, courteous and explained everything I need to get my generator running my house. I highly recommend Backup Electric for all your electronic needs!!!

Not sure how these reviewers gave him high ratings. There was someone in our community that recommended him to install generator inlets for only 450.00. I called him and he did quote me for it. Everything sounded good until he makes you purchase all the equipment and then never returns your call or text to confirm a date of service.

I read some replies posts on my community fb page and others complained about the same thing too with Albert. He doesn't return text and phone calls only when he feels like it.

He made me purchase all the equipment and I'm sitting here waiting for him to just confirm a date. Called many times and text he doesn't return again the next couple of days. If he were to come out and do the job and if something goes wrong with his work I doubt he will even come out to fix it.

I wouldn't recommend this guy seem very sketchy and unprofessional. Not sure how he was able to get good reviews from others but I feel I didn't say or do anything to him besides listening to what he told me to buy and then he just went offline afterwards.

Alberto was wonderful! Quick, Kind, Knowledgeable, and a great value. He installed a socket inside a closet for me. Professional, wore a mask, and was very pleasant. I would definitely recommend to anyone needing electrical work! And he took Venmo/cashApp or a check! This was one of the easiest and best interactions with a home service technician ever!

4/20/21 update-texted for additional services two weeks later and got same day service! So polite and careful- he swept up dust and threw away boxes and the broken fixture! Highly recommend

I reached out to BackUp Electric from their AD on Facebook. They were very responsive in identifying what I needed via pics and setting me up a quote and an installation appointment. They showed up for the service within the service window and completed the job in a short period of time. The technician, Arturo, was able to give me a walk through of how to use the new services installed (generator switch) and tested it out to be sure it worked properly. The two-man team was professional and courteous- I plan to use BackUp Electric again should the need arise.

Albert is a wonderful electrician. I have used his services in both our properties. I very rarely give a 5 star review but he merits it. He is smart, polite, knowledgeable, and most of all he is honest. He prices are always more than fair and he is fast at repairing and detecting the issue. He is clean. He actually swept the floor after he installed a fan. He has something that is called integrity. The first time I used him (2 years ago), I asked him a lot of questions. He answered them all. He does not hide the cost or inflated a bill. Great human and skilled electrician.

I had them install a 50w interlock box about a month ago without incident. They never verified it was installed correctly or that it even worked. During the install, they had to move some items in my circuit breaker box and about a month later I noticed a buzzing noise coming from my outlets and believed I saw a spark come from said little.

I called Backup Electric again and told them this outlet was connected to the interlock kit they had just installed. They promptly came to check it out, but when they came out to inspect all they did was just tightened the wall plate to the outlet and checked it with an electricity tester to see if it was live. They didn't take off the plate to inspect it, they just said it was okay to go after it read as live. They didn't not charge a service fee which I thought was pretty awesome of them.

Later that night I ran my dish washer and the associated outlet connected to it began to smoke and smell. Keep in mind this is the outlet connected to the breaker that they moved, so not sure if this is their fault or purely coincidence. Not sure.

Either way, while they provided very friendly service, I feel overlooking this issue was potentially costly as my house could have potentially burned down. I replaced the outlet myself and saw there was burnt residue. Really wish they would have checked this out especially since they moved this breaker when they installed the interlock last month.

Contacted them through a Facebook ad and sent them a picture of my beaker box to get a quote to install a interlock and plug for a backup generator. I received the quote promptly and it was a couple of hundred less then other quotes I received. I agreed on price and scheduled an appointment for install. They arrived early and did a quality install in about an hour. Very happy with the entire experience and would recommend.

came to the house and installed an interlock with 50 amp breaker and inlet plug. He was courteous, friendly and professional. He was quick and cleaned up when he finished. Excellent service. I will definitely use them again.

Did a panel replacement for us. He did a good job at a reasonable price, even came back to make sure we were all good on on everything. Would recommend!

These guys are great, had them install a generator plug. He was polite, professional and punctual, answered all my questions and the plug is very professional looking. Yesterday I came home to lights flickering and then total loss of power to half my house they came out this morning and got I fixed up and made sure everything else was good to go. Highly recommend them for any electrical need

Backup Electric done a fantastic job installing our generator interlock switch. Quality install, quick and explained how to use the system. I was considering running extra conduit which would cost considerably more. Even though it would generate more money for Back Up Electric, they recommended that it was not needed. So in closing, they are a very honest company that you can trust! I highly recommend them!!! Javier was my installer!

After dealing with the winter storm of 2021 and in preparation for 2022 and all future hurricane season(s) It was past time to get my home ready!

I contacted Backup electric after viewing their post and videos on social media about “installation of a generator receptacle and breaker switch” into your main panel for portable backup generators.
I followed their instruction and sent them a pic of my electrical panel and asked for a quote. I got a response within minutes with options. I then asked a lot of questions and every question I asked was answered I was also provided a video answering the “most common questions”. I continued my research and checked all their reviews and business address. I was satisfied and booked an appointment. I had a new electrical panel installed along with a 50 AMP generator setup. After the install was done, which was fast with very little disruption to my family; I was given a quick class how to safely hookup a generator to my electrical panel and power my entire home for future emergencies. The two man crew were very professional and respectful. The price I found was very reasonable and was the same as the quoted price. I cannot say enough about my great experience. I will keep their phone number for my future electrical needs.

After suffering 7 days without power and running extensions from my generator to my appliances, I decided enough was enough.

I contacted back up electric to have a generator outlet installed to my breaker box. Communication was key, the work was done expediently and are very knowledgeable. They even gave me a tutorial on how everything worked.

Really had a good experience with them. Quick response, quick to fix problem and honest. On a side note, i asked about the size of generator I'd need for my house. He sent a very informative video he made explaining everything. I thought that was cool. Will definitely use in the future.

Great job from Albert and his team. He's always on time. He changed out and old Zensco panel in a safe and quick manner. His price was alot less than any other electrician who came to look at it. Will call in the future.

Had these guys install a 50 amp generator inlet and interlock on my breaker. They did a fantastic job. They also tested everything and walked me through the proper steps to run my house off my generator. These guys do great work, had a great price, and provide great service. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an electrician.

After seeing Backup Electric mentioned in NextDoor, I called to take care of a few projects from my home inspection and items I noticed after moving into my home.

On the phone they answered all of my questions and quoted a reasonable price plus were able to set an appointment for the following week. (I called on Friday and they came on Monday.)

Jose A and Angel P came today and were ready to solve my issues. This is a small detail, but I was thrilled that they first turned off the power at my meter before touching my electrical panel. This doesn't always happen and when it does, it shows good attention to safety.

Angel and Jose replaced a breaker for my AC and figured out why my garage outlets were not working. The included picture explains the garage plugs and also shows that no one should ignore when a GFCI stops working. With a new one installed everything works perfectly.

They also asked if there was anything else I needed and I asked them to check my shower can light since it was not very bright. I then had them replace the fixture with a bright (damp space approved) LED. (This did require a quick trip to the hardware store, but they were back promptly to finish the job.)

Since I added the shower light fixture, the price did go up a bit (reasonably) from the original quote. I'm very satisfied with the team at Backup Electric and I plan to call them for future electrical needs.

Javier came out to install my interlock system. He was very professional and detailed. The process took just about an hour or less. He explained everything to me I detail, we also tested the system on generator power to ensure everything worked properly and it did. I highly recommend them.

Javier was on time and did a great job installing my 30amp generator hook up. I would highly recommend and will continue to do business with in the future.
