Our repair was assigned to Hornet through our warranty company. The repairs were handled quickly. Our technician communicated what needed to be repaired and ordered the parts. Within a week the new parts were installed and the unit is working properly. Mike was thorough and professional.

Both experiences with Hornet have been excellent and exceeded my expectations! I have used them through my home warranty (American Shield) and my cost no matter what is $75. The technicians are on time if not earlier than expected. Always professional, kind, and very knowledgeable. I will continue to use this company even after I no longer have my home warranty. Great company!

Using my home warranty dictated my options and I have to say that after reading the reviews regarding Horent I was very concerned, but I'm willing to give anyone a chance. So with that I can't say enough GREAT things about Felix! He was awesome, smiling, informative and willing to help me fully understand what was wrong with my refrigerator! He told me when he thought he would get the parts after ordering them the same day and then worked with me to make our house his first stop so I could get to work quickly. I'm a FAN and I hope Hornet knows the value of their employee because he's a GEM!

After dealing with another appliance vendor thru American Home Shield for two months and six visits, the work order was given to Hornet Appliance to fix my refrigerator. Mike the technician was professional, courteous and was actually able to troubleshoot the problem. He ordered the part and correctly fixed the problem that six others could not.

I recently had the pleasure of utilizing Hornet Appliance Services for a washer repair, and I must say I was thoroughly impressed. Their quick and efficient work, combined with their exceptional customer service, left me extremely satisfied. The technician, Felix, exemplified a high level of professionalism and expertise in appliance repair. I highly recommend Hornet Appliance Services to anyone in need of reliable and top-notch appliance repair services.

They came and fixed my dishwasher through warranty company. They had to order a part. They came back two days later with it I was out. They came back the next day. Dishwasher works better than ever. Five stars

Had a washer issue that another appliance company couldn’t resolve. The samsung washer kept getting knocked off balance while spinning and never drained the clothes. as it added water to rebalance and got stuck in a loop.
Prior company kept trying to say I was overloading it and to put less clothes on. After fighting them and being persistent he decided to swap the rods as I believed it was that. didn’t resolve the issue.
Hornet came out and said they might have ordered cheaper parts and with samsung you need to order their rods.
problem resolved. -
I was a little skeptical about this company because of the reviews, but Fabian was great! He fixed our dishwasher and now it’s working again. The whole process was efficient and clear. I’m happy with their services.

Very very poor and unprofessional service. Through our insurance, hornet was sent as vendor to fix our dishwasher. It was making a noise while running. First technician came on Tuesday. Told us that something stuck n drain pipe and that his colleague would make an appointment to clean it. There were some tires broken on the lower tray of dishwasher. He said he would order those two.
His colleague came, with only 2 tires (not even 4) and told us that he got the instructions that this was the only thing required! There was no other issue. I told him about the noise to which he said it’s not covered and I asked am I supposed to wait till dishwasher is completely broken! Both of them were in such a rush. I asked him why his colleague didn’t inform. He was rude and I called hornet on the same day. Initially they picked up and then they would not answer the phone. I kept calling for 2-3 days. So do not engage them directly. Don’t pay them till ur job is done. Only when the insurance company talked to them then the guy came to fix it. It took him not even 5 minutes to suck out whatever was stuck in drain pipe. Horrible, unprofessional and rude service. Do not hire directly unless there is an insurance company which controls the payment. They never wrote in their initial work order what they came to fix. Just wrote abt parts ordered, which were wheels. And wheels were not even the issue. I could have ordered myself for far cheaper! Giving two stars only because the issue finally resolved. But it gave me such headaches and 2-3 calls to my insurance -
I submitted a repair request 06/29/19 to my home warranty service due to refrigerator leaking water, not cooling properly, and not making ice. The job was assigned to Hornet Appliance Services. A technician who spoke little English arrived to the house 07/04/19. He said many parts missing which I equated to many parts required replacing. He said someone from their office (Hornet) would call me Monday 07/08/19 to schedule appointment. I never received a call. I called Hornet Friday 07/12/19 and the young lady I spoke with stated parts were ordered and they would contact me to schedule appointment once parts were received. I contacted home warranty 07/15/19 to share my dismay with the timeliness of service. I was told all parts should be received by 07/19/19 and I would receive a call from Hornet to schedule appointment. I did not receive a call. I called Hornet and was told all parts had been received with exception of a rail. I requested a technician be sent out to complete whatever repair(s) could be done with the parts received and an additional trip be made to install the rail when it is received. It is now 08/05/19. The refrigerator has not been working at all since 06/29/19, no one has contacted me to schedule the repair. My dad is diabetic and we have been using an ice cooler/chest to keep his insulin cool. All groceries have spoiled and we have been unable to store food. Thus we have to order out everyday $$$. This is an urgent repair however the service received from Hornet does not reflect this at all!! This is poor service from Hornet and reflects negatively upon the warranty service that contracted them.

Worst appliance repair company I have ever dealt with. Over a month ago I was assigned this company by American Home Shield to fix my washing machine. After telling me that my seven-year-old washing machine would need extensive repairs and parts, my service technician went out to his truck to see if my warranty company wanted to repair my washer (which would easily cost over $500) or replace it with a new one. The guy never came back! I waited to hear from Hornet for a week. When I called them, I was told that their computer system was down and that they would call me back later that day. No call. I have since called them five times trying to find out the status of my repair. It took talking with the warranty company before I found out that the machine was going to be repaired, and that it would be three weeks before the multiple parts needed would be in. When my husband called Hornet, he also couldn't get his call returned either. Even the warranty company was unable to contact them. Finally I received a call five weeks after the initial service call, that they wanted to make an appointment to fix the washer. After making an appointment for 10-2, I received a text and an email confirming my appointment for that time. Not 15 minutes later, I received a text and email that my appointment was being confirmed for 1-5 pm. I immediately both texted and emailed them back that this wasn't acceptable and left them a number to contact me. Guess what? No call again. When the tech still hadn't arrived by 5 pm, I called again and had to leave a message which at this time, no one has (surprise!) returned my call. The tech has now shown up a half hour after the end of my window, and just told me that he was given my service call as a fresh call and has no parts to fix my machine! What a cluster. Don't use this company to fix anything! Absolutely the sorriest repair company on the planet!

Contracted with AHS. They came twice, once last year and once 2 weeks ago for my broken freezer/ice maker which is connected to my refrigerator and they found a leak then claimed they needed to replace a part but never came to replace the part. After a while, my refrigerator also broke although it was perfectly fine before they came. I called them and their customer service was extremely rude then hung up on me when i told them they broke my perfectly fine refrigerator and that they didn't bother to replace the original issue which was my freezer/ice maker. Now this company is not reporting the issue to AHS which prevents me from getting a replacement refrigerator as AHS has no report from Hornet's technician. I want Hornet just to report it as broken to AHS so that I can get a new refrigerator as it is extremely obvious that Hornet can't replace the broken part. Don't contract them for repairs and don't get AHS as this is the company they will send. Terrible customer service and terrible repairs!

This would have been the second time Hornet was assigned to my home. The first time was a horrible experience with the appointment and wait time. They give you one time then change it whenever they want too. I said maybe this time would be different but it wasn’t. Gave me a 12 to 4 window which means be available during that time frame. Without asking me moved up my timeframe and I wasn’t available so I had to reschedule for another day. I said it’s no way I’m going through this again because I knew once the part came in it be another circus getting them back. I put them on a DNR for me. I’ll come back with the review on the new company and hopefully it’s positive I’ll share so you’ll can use them instead. Their reviews was much better than Hornets 3.4 starts. ASK AMERICAN HOME SHIELD TO DISPATCH ANY COMPANY BESIDES THIS ONE.

Extremely rude and unprofessional service.
The scheduling person could care less about customers and is only repeating herself and being rude. -
I hate to be a broken record with AHS associated companies but it's the same again.
Hornet has been assigned to us many times and they have not ONCE completed their work.
We would wait weeks for the appointment and then upon visitation they would say 'we don't work on this brand'
I've asked AHS to remove them as a preferred vendor as it happens everytime.
We pay AHS for a reason. At least that's what I thought.
Another example was yesterday when I was home during the entire time frame for a clothes washer call.
Ditch dock dink'd me. Said they rang the bell and then just left one of their cards on the floormat.
I got a notice from AHS text and I called within 5 minutes saying "I'm here. I've been here the entire time.'
Just call your techs. They can't be more than 5 minutes away.
Nope. You're screwed at this point just like I was.
I could go on and on about but them they don't really care. Keep getting fed AHS clients so we are always subject to them. -
Contracted by AHS. Service request started in Dec.2022. Tech ordered parts. Showed up a week later with wrong parts. Reordered new parts and broke another part. Two weeks later installed parts but did not tighten the screws causing a water leak that ruined my wood flooring. Can back out and tightened screws. It is March! Requested a manager or owner to call since January. No call back. Last week they had an appointment scheduled between 10-2. Showed up at 3:00, which by that point, my house sitter had to leave. Office stated that was in inconvenience to them. What NERVES! Rescheduled for the 8th between 10-2 on Monday 3/6/23. On 3/7/23 appointment changed at 4:00pm to the hours of 1:00-5:00. Incompetent Company contracted by AHS. DO NOT USE THEM AS THEY ARE INCOMPETENT, RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL AND JUST DOWN RIGHT SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS. If you use a warranty company, make sure they do not sub-contract with these folks. I would actually give them a ZERO star if that was an option.

After two months and four visits our refrigerator is still broken. This company lacks business acumen and customer service skills. They are rude and incompetent. Specifically, Stan and Maria. I would not recommend this company for repair services. Save yourself stress and money. Hire someone else.

most arrogant people in the front desk. AHS will lose their business if they continue to use them .

The first time a technician came to my home he looked at the washer, plugged it in, and said "All done, you're ready to go! Just let it complete a full cycle and you can do your laundry! Despite me telling him that the thing would stop before completion. I called back and another Technician named Mike came out and said I needed a new motor, and he would get the part ordered and be back to fix the washer. Next, I got a message from AHS that the job was completed and asking for me to complete a survey on the service I received. After explaining to AHS that problem was never fixed, Mike called the next night and apologized for his colleagues ignorance and assured me that someone would call me the next morning because he didn't see an order for any parts. I never got that call, I had to call them. They LIED and said someone would be here on 2/29/24 between 1 and 5, but no one showed up. As of right now, I have been on hold for 18 minutes to speak with someone at Hornet Appliance, while also calling them on another phone and getting a voicemail. I have responded to their text message as advised but no one has responded. Listen people - If AHS tries to dispatch Hornet Appliance to fix ANYTHING in your home, I'd advise you to call AHS and demand another company. This work order began in January, it doesn't take 2 months to get a part and repair a fricking washing machine. You've been warned, all of these reviews are not lying. It seems like this ish should be considered a scam or illegal somewhere in America, cause it's totally unacceptable. At this point I'm about to drive to their office because 24 minutes and I'm still on hold!

Was iffy about this company in the beginning on the bad reviews I saw, but I had no choice but to use them because I have American Home Shield. First things they fixed were stove, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher. Took forever to get those complete and a lot of miscommunication betwee them and AHS. Now it's my dryer and they can't seem to get this fixed. Started the ticket in January and now its March and has not been completely repaired. Again seems to be a lot of miscommunication.. this tech came over and took the vent apart and put a stocking on it and told my mom to run it. We went into the dryer room and everyone in the house became dizzy so we turned it off and opened every window and door in the house. The dryer room was over 100 degrees. I've been calling them for 2 days and they keep lying to me telling me they would have thre tech c as all before 5pm. Guess what. No call. I this they just trying to let the warranty run out. What a scam. I may cancel American home Shield after this experience.
Update, they got sent out to me again and nothing has changed. AHS need to cancel this company. They get 0 stars 🌟. -
NEVER answer the phone or return messages. AHS uses these incompetent companies to fix your stuff. Came out and ordered parts for my washer I didn’t need sounds worse than before still doesn’t work and they won’t answer the phone. AHS doesn’t care. Will force you to buy a new machine so they don’t have to pay to get it fixed. 3 weeks without a washer… HORNET is not worth your time and AHS is failing just as much using them.
