Fire Damage Restoration reviews in Houston, Texas

employees caught stealing from insured homes .
-
There was definitely a dissatisfaction with Service and handling of our items.. I would recommend looking elsewhere for your needs.
-
This one of the worst company to deal with. I'm a adjuster and they are just terrible to my client. I would never use this company. If I could give them no stars I would
-
This company damaged my area rugs, just to rip off my insurance company.. they had no intentions on even trying to salvage any of my items. Do not recommend at all.

Does not get any worse than this scam of a company. Took over four months when they promised one to two weeks. Wants full payment. Have to take them to count. But I will let the world know what a scam of a company they are.

This company came in cleaned every item that was smoke damaged including kids toys and said they had an obligation to the insurance company. Now my clothes are full of black soot stains. This company is greedy and only out for money. Stay away from them or you will end up with nothing!! I wish I could give no stars

They showed up unannounced at our home in February, saying they worked with ServPro. I was very uneasy and should have trusted my instinct - I protested against them removing our property without inventory done on site. However, they cited the work overload imposed by the storm and wound up throwing our property into plastic bags. One of the owners on site promised they'd provide us with a comprehensive detailed inventory list with showing data for every piece of item they'd professionally clean/ozonate. Reality has turned out to show:
a) They are UNPROFESSIONAL by way of being NON-RESPONSIVE unless we make multiple contact efforts, or have ServPro intervene - and why should we?;
b) They are raising INTEGRITY concerns, as they provided an incomplete inventory list and have made incomplete deliveries each of the two times they've delivered; begs the question - where are the items asked for?
c) We are in May and still waiting for some of the "ER" items, along with other non emergency since February.
The storm is no longer a valid excuse, not even covid-19.

Whoever is pitching in to respond here is avoiding the real issues or is somehow out of touch with reality in this case. Refer to our numerous correspondence and you'll realize our concern isn't about the optics during collection of our property.
The real issue here is your total mismanagement of clientele. Starting with your "surprise" appearance at our home and the ensuing chronic unresponsiveness that only gets resolved by third party intervention; the constant failures to deliver on time; incomplete deliveries; cluelessness on how to treat delicate fibers; needless to say there are still some items lying around on site but somehow show up on your inventory list....
The only saving grace for you is your polite delivery staff. And NO - at this rate we wouldn't even recommend you to anyone, leave alone engage you again!!
That said, it's really curious how you find time to respond here but not to our phone calls/email, even when we're just asking to be given a time frame (not date) for a delivery. -
Please stay away from this company. They don’t respond at all unless you get corporate involved. When they first arrived to pickup the items they were dragging the clothes in a plastic bag through the sidewalk damaging the bag and clothes, and not caring about our personal belongings. They don’t clean your personal items properly and they put it back on the same damaged box. The electronics that I requested to be cleaned out they were returned without being cleaned. They will probably response to this review acting like they tried to solve the problem but that’s after the fact that I called corporate office, they had all the opportunities to do it right since day 1 and they fail.

Our Laundry room encountered a fire and after the demo and cleaning crew came in to get rid of the smoke damage First Team came in to gather our textiles including all of our houses rugs, pillows, blankets and anything that was in our laundry room. They properly tagged everything and reported everything to the insurance company. They also removed our washer and dryer and inspected and cleaned the units to ensure there was no smoke damage. Once the laundry room was completed they came in and placed the units back into the room and returned all items that were removed. They were courteous and professional every step of the way. I thank Seth for the textile handling and Liam for ensuring the team was on the ball and for his quality of work. I would reuse them if I had to.

This company is terrible, stay away from doing business with them. All they want is make up all kind of things so they can bill your insurance. If, however that you do business with them, be aware, do not let them remove anything they want ( for restoration as they would tell you) , because in my case after they did with my properties, they did not contact me back at all, I had to contact my insurance to contact them ( after about 8 months) to call them and found out what happened to my stuffs and what were their estimates of the cost, found out it was an excessive ridiculous amount but my insurance told me that they had no choice but to pay it, I contacted Firstteam and they told me most of our cloths, drapes and curtains were still in the storage and had not been dry clean yet, so we asked them ( with the list) if some of those items we don’t want them back so they don’t need to do the dry clean, and their answer were they will deduct the dry clean cost of those items and reimburse us the monies for those (around $3000) after they received the insurance’s check, but they DID NOT, we tried to call them many times to no prevail. They don’t answer our calls after they got the insurance check. CROOKS.

Listen Please!!! Stay away from this company. I have never ever had to deal with a company like this! This is the worst company ever! Please don’t do business with them. Took my clothing to clean. Came back smelling awful, some items shrunk , belt was lost from a shirt. Reached out to them several times for a refund. Instead they want to tell me after a month the only thing they can do is clean them again. I stated to them no. Because I don’t trust you. And I have a right to feel the way I do. After your late response. Now they are just totally ignoring me. They deserve a 0 star.

On 5/16/2024 a tornado hit my home and did severe damage to it. For several days, I was in somewhat of a state of shock and had no idea how to begin to put my house and belongings back together so I let someone influence me into signing a contract with FRSTeam to “clean” my textiles. BIG MISTAKE because in the fine print of the contract they did not specify exactly HOW they were going to "clean" my textiles. So FRSTeam took most of my clothing and all my other textiles. When I got them back, some of my casual tops had shrunk because after washing, they were put into a dryer, something I never do because dryers CAN shrink clothing, and they’re harsh on the fabric. I called FRSTeam and was told they would “settle up” with me after all my items had been returned.
In addition to some of my clothing shrinking, the backing on several textile placemats had shrunk. I have no idea HOW the placemats were cleaned, but I spoke with another FRSTeam employee who told me they would look at them. After getting no response, I e-mailed this employee on July 15 but NEVER received a reply from him so on August 1, I called the FRSTeam textiles manager with whom I had spoken to before about the problem with my clothing. He assured me he would investigate the matter for me and call me back on Monday, August 4. As of today (August 7), I have not heard from him.
So, the moral of my story is DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Their customer service is horrible. You cannot trust them to keep their word. Another poster mentioned FRSTeam and how they just want to collect insurance money. I concur—LOTS of it which came out of my Personal Property allowance. Also, I just noticed that they’re not BBB accredited. I wish I had checked this on 5/18/2024 when I signed their contract! -
I’ve used FRSTEAM and they’ve done an outstanding job for me but this particular review is for Josh - who handles the firearms cleanups, repairs and restorations. This guy is a magician when it comes to firearms. He handled 3 of my guns after our house fire and did an incredible job! One in particular tho was an old shotgun I’ve had since I was 10 yrs old and Josh did the most unbelievable resto job on this gun. It looks brand new and I had to check the serial number to even make sure this was my gun. Absolutely unbelievable. If you have firearms involved in a fire FRSTEAM will use this guy and you will be blown away at the results.

They specialize in Contents moving, cleaning and restoration. What sets them apart is that they have trained technicians for textiles, electronics and high end art work.
