A severe storm felled a very old tree in my yard, which tore it up terribly. Sterling landscaping came in and put it back in excellent shape very quickly and for a very reasonable price! Thank you very much.

Design capabilities for garden was great, but implementation is lacking. Team is unskilled in basic gardening skills and do not know how to properly plant shrubs and plants. Also sloppy and careless in work. Had to spend my time fixing their mistakes even after second follow-up visit. Calls left on answering machine are not responded to and you need to send email in order to receive response. Design plans are not followed and changed at the last minute and sometimes no prior call alerting when team is arriving. They just show up. They also do not tell you any sod installed will most likely die or not florish in shady areas.
Note: After indicating to a company representative I did not want them for a third time to attempt fixing this, I was belittled and branded a perfectionist. I guess everyone should be satisfied with shoddy work.

We have used Sterling Design & Landscape Resources for well over 15 years for landscaping our yard. Frank Mahy is our Landscape Consultant and is outstanding in designing the landscaping and then seeing that it gets installed properly. His work crew is excellent.

He listens to our wishes, answers all our questions, and offers suggestions. The result is a landscaped yard that meets all our criteria, is easy to care for, and is absolutely beautiful. A number of our friends and neighbors use Sterling because they saw our yard and asked who did the landscaping.

Frank is very knowledgeable and likes to have a long term vision not just put a few plants in here and there. The team that comes to plant the plants is very good. They do a great job making the vision come to life.

I found Sterling Design & Landscape Resources (herein "Sterling") in the "Best Pick Reports" book for my neighborhood. My yard was long overdue for a complete overhaul since I lost half of my fence and all my plants during Hurricane Beryl in July 2024. It took a very long time to have my fence replaced; that job was NOT done by Sterling and it was a terrible experience ... so I was ready for a good experience with a landscaping company. Sterling did not disappoint; in fact, they exceeded my expectations. I really liked their business model. The process began with Sterling sending me a questionnaire to complete regarding my landscaping project. I was able to tell them what I was looking for and to also provide information regarding the area to be landscaped. The next step was to meet personally at my property with Frank who - BTW - was extremely knowledgeable, full of good ideas and suggestions, and ALWAYS showed up when he said he would and always arrived ON TIME! Based on that meeting, Frank developed a design plan. Sterling focuses on the plants but also has a relationship with other companies that do other aspects of a landscape project. Through Sterling I found the irrigation company I used to redesign my irrigation system (Bluewater Irrigation - they also did a fantastic job!). After the landscape and irrigation design were agreed and finalized, my favorite step of the process occurred. I met Frank at a local nursery and was able to look at all the plants and to personally - with Frank's help - select the plants I wanted in my yard. No landscaper had ever done that with me before and it was very special. The project was then carried out very efficiently - both the landscaping and the irrigation. Once all the work had been completed, Frank came to my home and did a final walk-through with me to ensure that everything had been done well and "according to plan." The plants are under warranty for a period of time in the event some of them do not survive. I could not be more pleased with the outcome of this landscaping / irrigation project and - without hesitation - I highly recommend Sterling Landscape Design & Landscape Resources for your landscaping projects.
