Tree reviews in Houston, Texas

I use Sap Arborcare and Landscaping's holiday lighting display service every year, and every year it has exceeded my expectations. It looks even better paired with the tree work I had done recently—if I could do it over again, I’d schedule both at the same time. This year I'm having them do my property in West University. I highly recommend using their services.

Sap Arborcare recently took care of a tree that was starting to become a hazard to my home. From the first call, they were attentive and truly cared about what I had to say. Freddy and the team provided clear explanations of their service, making sure we understood the process and the reasons behind it. Post service follow up was unexpected but much appreciated! They truly set the bar high for great customer service.

I first heard about Sap ArborCare when I received a flyer on my front porch, great timing for I was shopping around for a company to trim my large Live Oak trees.
From the very first interaction with their receptionist I was impressed with her great customer service. Then when the arborist came out to give me an estimate I was even more impressed with the company. The knowledge of the arborist was extensive and he was able to communicate that knowledge layman's terms. I had some other questions about other trees on my property and he took the time to help me understand what the needs and care of those trees. For example I have a crepe myrtle that I trimmed severely and some people ridicule people over doing that to their crepe myrtles but this arborist reassured me that I did not murder my Myrtle.
On the day of the scheduled trimming of the trees great communication I received notification. The team took an extra care while doing the job because there's a bird's nest in the tree and I wanted to make sure that that nest was not disturbed or destroyed.
They did an amazing job quick and proficient. Afterwards I was amazed at how overgrown the trees were.
From start to finish Sap ArborCare did an incredible job. I will be working with this company on future projects.

Very dependable and professional. They have cut down trees and trimmed bushed on several occasions on my property.
They always do a good job and show up when they said they will. Their prices are fair. I would recommend them to anyone who want a reliable company.

I recently hired Sap Arborcare for a landscaping project, and I couldn't be more impressed. From the initial consultation to the final result, their team was professional, efficient, and attentive to every detail. They transformed my yard into a beautiful, well-maintained space, incorporating all of my ideas while offering valuable suggestions. The crew was punctual, and the quality of their work exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Sap for anyone looking to beautify their yard.

This business taped an advertising flyer on my front door and several others in my neighborhood. It was very visible from the street and were we on vacation at the time , this flyer would remain taped to the front door and make it obvious that we may be away from home....which we would prefer not to advertise. Please do NOT stick anything on my property.

Highly recommend Sap Arborcare, they did an amazing job with our landscape and tree trimming. And the knocked it out quick with a lot of gear

Freddy and his team at Sap Arborcare and Landscaping are the most professional, dependable, and affordable team that I have encountered in my 25 years of living at my home. I am still so impressed with their communication and service that I had to give them a public shout out.

From the first time that I saw their flyer, they made receiving a quote and reserving an appointment easy through their digital communication methods. Prior to the team showing up, they informed me that they would be arriving and answered any questions immediately. The invoicing and paying process was easy and affordable. I will definitely use Sap in all my future landscaping needs.

They do an incredible job trimming trees! And they cleaned up everything including ensuring no tree debris was left in the pool. Highly recommend Freddy and his crew.

Old-growth Live Oak trim, clean, deep feed. AMAZING job! Thorough. Great communication. Excellent follow through on plan. Guys did a fantastic job. Thank you!

I live in Bunker Hill and have trusted Sap Arborcare & Landscaping with my property for the past three years. I’ve used their holiday lighting service every season, and it’s always been flawless. The lights are installed on schedule, maintained perfectly, and the final display is breathtaking. The entire team is professional, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable. They’ve also done incredible landscaping work in both my front and back yards, and the results are always gorgeous and carefully maintained. I couldn’t recommend them more highly!

First Class Professional Tree Services!
In late June 2025, SAP Arborcare Landscaping did some great work at our property. They performed tree/brush clearing, cutting/removal and stump grinding. The SAP Arborcare team were thorough, efficient, safe and delivered all results as requested. Our expectations were absolutely exceeded. Based on the work done for us and our knowledge of SAP Arborcare, we would highly recommend Freddy and his team for all Tree Services and Landscaping. Thanks much! We’ll be working with them again when the need arises.

It’s so nice when you find a company that takes pride in their work. SAP most assuredly does — I’m extremely well pleased with the work I had done today. We had let the grass and trees in our front yard get in very bad shape over the past few years and SAP made it look amazing for a great price. They are busy (I now understand why) so the appointment was a few weeks out but they showed up on time and did an amazing job. They went above and beyond expectations and I won’t hesitate to use them again. I don’t have before photos but please believe me it looked terrible. I really was only looking for a ‘patch up’ job but the front yard now looks totally renovated — thanks SAP!

I am very impressed by the service provided. I had a tree bent at a pretty significant angle by Beryl, and the Sap team took care of removing it quickly and cleanly, and they were extra careful with the uplighting and irrigation bubbler in the tree bed when they ground the stump. They will be our go-to company for anything tree-related in the future.

DO BETTER

Your representative who was out today passing out your flyers left one on my door that CLEARLY has a no soliciting sign on it. When I walked outside and saw her I told her that I didn’t want the flyer because I have a sign on my door. I then told her she could have it back. She said she didn’t feel comfortable coming BACK onto my property so I tried informing her why the sign is there and walked to the street to hand her the flyer. She walked away from me and said she didn’t want it and to call the company. What??? So I dropped the flyer and walked back to my house and she told me that I was showing micro aggression and I told her she was being passive aggressive. DO BETTER SAP ARBORCARE & LANDSCAPING. Clearly from reading other reviews, this is a pattern. Her behavior is the reason for THIS review.

I learned about Sap Arborcare from a flyer left at my door. I have a big oak tree out front that had branches touching my home. I set up a consultation and had a pleasant experience with Freddy. I got put on the schedule and they communicated well on day of service. They went over the work they would do prior to starting. They had a large crew working safely and efficiently. They cleaned up all the branches and left the yard looking good before they left. I was able to pay online for the service. I highly recommend Sap Arborcare!

SAP arborcare were extremely professional. They arrived at the appointed time. They cleaned out my Live Oak and shaped it beautifully over my home.

SAP ARBORCARE is a great company. They left a flyer on my door just when I realized my queen palms were dead from the winter freeze. John and his crew came to my house and evaluated the trees and suggested I put mule palms in. They can handle the freeze much better. Gabi communicated very well with me, gave me a fair price and installed the beautiful new trees in my backyard. I absolutely love them and would highly recommend this company.they went above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied. I will use them again.

I recently had Sap Arborcare help me cut down a tree that was dangerously close to my house, especially with hurricane season approaching. They did an excellent job, not only safely removing the tree but also thoroughly cleaning up all the debris, including what fell into my fish pond. Their professionalism and attention to detail were outstanding. I highly recommend their services for any tree care needs. Thank you, Sap Arborcare, for your exceptional work!

Loved my experience with Sap Arbocare and crew. They transformed my trees from dull and droopy to vibrant and beautiful. They were so friendly and helpful. They explained everything they were going to do and why. They gave me a reasonable price and did a fantastic job. They were fast and efficient. They cleaned up everything and left no mess behind. My trees are so happy and healthy now. I can’t thank sap arborcare enough. They are the best tree service ever. I will call these guys again with my next tree care service.

I can't say enough about Sap Arbocare! After the storm on May 16, 2024, we were in a real bind. I had heard of Sap Arbocare from neighbors who had used them in the past to maintain their beautifully sculpted live oaks. I still had their number and called them at 8:00 am the next morning. They met me at the house at noon, and by 3:30, they arrived with a professional crew of 10 to begin the demo process. They had the tree down by 8:00 pm, working non-stop. They also applied a tarp to cover the holes for me, and did an excellent job of hauling away the wood and clean-up around the area. Most importantly, Sap Arbocare took extra care not to damage or scar any part of the remaining structure. This was a difficult job, and the crew was painstakingly determined to do it right. I also experienced a high level of professionalism and customer care that is hard to find these days. Their pricing was fair and they honored their commitments. Going forward, I intent to use Sap Arbocare for my future landscaping needs. I highly recommend them!
