Horrible customer service ~ the worst I've experienced in a long time. Had unknown billing issues with them and received conflicting information from their representatives. Requested a payment arrangement as a courtesy to resolve the billing issue and was told the balance would need to be over $500. I explained I was impacted by the government shutdown and could pay half the balance; was still told no. The representative mentioned they would still service my address but I may be assessed an additional late fee, which I understood. I hadn't received the stickers for the new month so I called back again to inquire and a different representative mentioned they will not service the address until the balance is paid. No apologies for the confusion/inconvenience or anything just a TRASH COMPANY. LITERALLY. Not sure why the HOA uses this company, smh.

**Texas Pride? More like Texas Shame.**

I’m extremely disappointed with this trash company, and I don’t say that lightly. Texas Pride — which I now call *Texas Shame* — has treated an elderly woman in our family terribly, and the situation is completely unacceptable.

They require customers to replace a sticker on their trash cans **every single quarter**, or they stop picking up trash. Fine. We followed their rules. She called **two weeks before her sticker expired**, paid the fee, and requested the new sticker in advance to avoid any disruption.

They charged her immediately — but never sent the sticker.

As soon as the old sticker expired, they **stopped taking her trash**. When she called to ask why, they admitted they had **run out of stickers** and that it could take **another one to two weeks** before she receives it. In the meantime? No trash pickup.

So let me get this straight:
They took her money, failed to send the required sticker due to *their own shortage*, and then punished her by refusing service — leaving an elderly lady with trash piling up through absolutely no fault of her own.

That is ridiculous. It’s unprofessional, careless, and shows zero concern for customers — especially seniors who rely on consistent service. If you can’t supply the stickers you require, then you have no business suspending service.

This is not “pride.” This is **Texas Shame**, and I would strongly caution anyone — especially families with elderly members — to think twice before using this company.

Heaven forbid you move into a community that already has a prenegotiated contract with this incompetent company and can’t select another provider.

They constantly miss pick ups and blame it on their archaic sticker policy. Why the heck am I responsible for managing your billing department with proof of payment everytime you go to pick up my trash? This is freaking 2026. Get a system that tells you who has and hasn’t paid you. That’s not my responsibility.

Your call center sucks too. I’ve been hung up on multiple times why they figure out why my trash hasn’t been picked up.

Terrible customer service. I’m going to get my board to get rid of this contact asap, this issue is rampant in my community.

I hate this company. I pay them and I have to put a sticker on my trash can so they know who paid and who didn't. Why dont they have their own trashcans like a REAL waste management company? Why do I have to tape receipt to the trashcan? Why do I pay for a service and a get a chore? I think it's time to get loud about this nonsense with my HOA. I pay you for a service and dont get the service because a sticker is missing? Sounds like a book keeping problem for YOUR company. How hard would it he to get a real, legitimate waste management company with their own real trashcans to service our neighborhood?Sounds like a fun summer project. I have never paid for trash pick up to not have trash pick up and have to stop and scratch my head to figure out why. This service IS trash. I look forward to trying to decouple them with my lovely community.

This company is difficult to work with. All the trash pick up day is consistent. The quality of picking up the trash is highly variable with trash in the road and on the yard frequently found. But when they broke my trashcan, it has seemed almost impossible to either get a replacement, and I have been impeded from speaking to management. Despite making pointed direct request, I cannot under any circumstances reach anyone other than an operator. Despite being told I would receive a call back there have been no calls and no messages. This company is not my first second or third choice. If it was my decision, I would’ve long ago canceled them.

The most disrespectful, reckless, and unprofessional trash company I’ve ever dealt with. This is now the third time we’ve had to replace a trash can because of how roughly their workers handle them. We’ve spent well over $100 each time, nearly $200, replacing damaged cans.

Today, I recorded a video of their employee emptying my trash can and then tossing it onto the concrete. They pushed it all the way from my neighbor’s side to my house and threw it around like it was a toy. As a result, the can is cracked and the wheel has come off.

This is not normal wear and tear—it’s damage caused by careless handling. We’ve reported these issues before, but nothing gets fixed and no one seems to respond. Customers should not have to keep paying for new trash cans because employees treat them so poorly. Somebody needs to take responsibility and do something about this.

Texas Pride bailed on their contract terms, tried to extort significant price increases and stole many neighbors' trash bins on the last day they decided to collect. Here's trash sitting outside our home where our guests, came to visit MD Anderson for a clinical trial, could smell it and see it daily. Texas Pride intentionally did not pick up but still billed us $4.06 for it. I know, it's extremely petty but that's the mentality of this company. It's all about them and the hell with anyone else. I feel sorry for the workers whom we liked.

Regarding Texas Pride's response, the existing agreement was for another year or two and your company voided those terms because we would not pay double the contract rate. The terms you refer to were your terms after you walked away from the original contract terms.

Worst waste disposal company! Do not recommend any HOA or anyone utilizing this company. It’s always a constant argument with the trash guys of what they will or will not pick up. They say they do not have any specific heavy trash day, they pick it up anytime but yet will not pick anything slightly large at all, or as with my argument Monday and today, they’re telling me my trash is not trash that it is construction. I had a water leak and had to urgently remove some carpet, some Sheetrock and tile around the tub. Interesting how the trash guys tell me they can’t pick it up, but yet say if I paid them like $20 for lunch or something they’d take it. This made me HOT, like I told him I pay my HOA dues that cover my trash pick up, now I have to pay you here at the curb! I am going to urge our HOA to switch away from them, just like most of my neighborhood are already requesting. Seems once our contract ends they plan to get away from them. These guys don’t care and arguing with you. I already had to go buy two big expensive rollaways just to accommodate them so they can hopefully take any trash we put out. I get it is a lot of bags today and I maybe understand a little them not taking the sink countertop but we put everything else in small light bags and they still will not take anything. Very Frustrating!!!
