The 1 star is for their cheating, which is a really horrible behavior to me!
The business owner is pretty nice, so we preferred to use them again when we had AC problems. But it turned out that, they put a wrong sized motor for us made our AC not working well. They send another guy to replace a new motor, we really appreciate that. However, that guy complained how hard to remove the old one and put the new one on, I felt sorry for him. BUT, he told me that our Freon pressure is very low and we HAVE to fill it up IMMINENTLY for $425. I told him we just filled Freon last summer, should be ok. He couldn’t answer it and just said probably leaking somewhere. I didn’t trust him. We called their company to have another one to come, and they said will someone come and couldn’t tell me an exact time. I waited them for a whole day with a 90 degree temperature at home, and they didn’t show up. After 10:30 pm, they told us they may show up in 1 hour, it’s after 11:00pm. I don’t feel comfortable to have someone come to my house at midnight with only myself at home. I kept my AC turned down for two days and had another company come, they told me the Freon pressure is no problem at all, no leaking and not low pressure, it’s still the system problem. I feel so mad, the guy who was trying really hard to let me to fill Freon for sure lied me and was trying cheating me $425. And I called their company to complain about that, but never got a phone call back.
It’s SOOOOOO unprofessional!!! Don’t cheat your customers!!!

Needed a new upstairs unit for the house. Andy gave me the breakdown of 3 different units and their benefits. After selecting the unit I wanted, I scheduled a time for the install.
Two guys came to perform the install. They were very professional and worked all day on the upstairs unit as well as the outside system. The system is working great and is keeping my upstairs nice and cool. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Andy came by later to perform a quick inspection and to ensure everything went well with the install. I have used A Better Deal for several years and will always use them. They have always been very reliable and their work has been amazing. They truly know how to take care of our systems.
