I was very impressed by knowledge and professionalism of Philip Monterrubio. He answered all my questions and educated me on how to best take care of our trees. I am very grateful for his help.

Excellent service. Mario was very specific on how to take care of large Oak tree and other trees that needed care. He also didn't try to sell anything that was unnecessary for the trees and plants that we have in our yard. He recommended very safe herbicides for weeds and small plants.

I had Mario come out for a quote and he was incredibly informative, professional and personable. He even taught me a lot about tree care all and gave me recommendations for other plants and tree care in the future! Loved having him and really appreciated his help.

Arborist Mario visited my home on 06-13-25, he was very efficient. After evaluating my tree he explained in detail what was going on with it and ways to treat it. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He even continued to answer my questions thru messaging the following day. He also correctly identified problems with my tree. He was very professional throughout this beginning process with the evaluation, quote, diagnosis and follow up. 1st time I have ever dealt with a arborist and i can say it was pleasant and professional.

Our beloved oak tree is losing chunks of bark. I called ArborTrue and Mario came out and provided his assessment. The experience was seamless and he was super helpful and much appreciated. We will treat the tree and pest as recommended. Thank you, Mario!

I had a great experience with ArborTrue. After hurricane derecho severely damaged one of our young oak trees, their team was able to safely hoist it back up and secure it with cables, giving it a real chance at recovery. Six months later, the improvement is clear. The arborist I met with today, Mario, was friendly, professional, and took the time to explain everything thoroughly. I really appreciated his thoughtful recommendations and suggested care for our trees. Highly recommend!

Mario was great! I’m a repeat customer and love how each time they visit I learn so much. Mario took his time with inspecting the trees and explained what was going on with them and formulated a plan for current needs and future needs.

Booked a consultation with Mario from ArborTrue tree service about an Oak tree in our property. Mario is very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose the problem and propose a reasonable cure.

The positives include that they have knowledgeable arborists as well as THE master arborist Brad Phillips who’s incredibly passionate about his craft and a walking encyclopedia. However, that’s where the positives ends.

The operations side is very disorganized and communication is poor. I was booked to have services 7/8/24 and 7/11/24, unfortunately Beryl hit and things were postponed. I was reached out to by Alec on 7/11 and Kerryn on 7/12 saying they had a ton of emergency work to do so they were backed up. This is fine except no one followed up to tell when I could reschedule. I wouldn’t have minded a long delay if they were clear on their communication; for example telling me they’d be able to rebook me in 6 months or that I’d need to find another company because they were overwhelmed. Instead there was zero communication despite me calling and texting multiple times. All I wanted was some time line to go off of.

Finally one day I get an email out of the blue scheduling me for 7/29/24 without any input from me. They actually no showed for that date without any communication that they wouldn’t be making it. Then I get another email out of the blue saying I’m scheduled for 7/30/24 again with no input from me. After this nonsense I call the front desk and am finally able to get in touch with someone, I tell them the most important thing to me is that I be home when the work is being done and we finally settle on two new dates.

Lo and behold my most important request was not communicated to the crew and they showed up when I was not home. I’d also like to add I had to call 811 myself to get everything marked, even though the estimates made it sound like they’d help me out with that. Fortunately, I was able to rush home just to catch them taking a limb down that narrowly missed my roof and damaged my gutters. Afterwards I received an invoice that was completely wrong and double charged me for services I had already paid for and a stump grinding that had never happened. I called and emailed 8/9/24 which was the day of service to get this corrected but no one returned my emails or voice mails. This was only corrected 8/12/24 after I called 3 times and was finally able to get in touch with someone.

On (8/13/24) I’m was still waiting on stump grinding that was confirmed on 8/12/24 when I paid my invoice. I’ve received zero updates, no one’s called me back despite promises that someone will reach out to me with more information, my only updates are from when I take the initiative to call Christy on her cell, they can’t give me a window, and the best part is Christy threw out a random Thursday on our last call (which again didn’t have my input in scheduling). She said she would call me back and still has not.

They no showed 8/13/24 and I lost a day of work, but to their credit they emailed me back at 5 saying they would have someone reach out to me. As of 8/23/24 they’ve ignored two of my emails and no one has reached out to me in any capacity.

Since my 8/13/24 update (it is now 9/6/24 as of this update no one has reached out to me. The exception has been if I email/call them. They apologize then continue the pattern of keeping me in the dark. I’ll continue updating here as well as screenshotting their poor communication.

It is currently 9/15/24. Although the front desk has improved their communication by giving me regular updates no crew has reached out to me although I’m supposedly scheduled to have it done on 9/16/24; no time window was given to me either. They no showed for 9/16 but finally came on 9/20, damaged my fence and are trying to charge me twice again.

These people are unbelievable, they contacted me today (10/23) to let me know they would be available to grind my stump even though they did it over a month ago. No one has any idea what’s going on there.

    - these guys are disorganized
    - they don’t follow up or call back
    - the price of my tree removal without stump grinding was exactly double the estimate I was given had I went with Tree Solutions of Texas ($3200 vs $1600)

Arbor True is the only company that I will trust with my century old Post Oak tree. Mario came to inspect my trees after landscaping replacement and found several items that needed addressed. He was very prompt, very knowledgeable, and very quick to assess what was needed. I have always been very satisfied with all services from Arbor True and would highly recommend Mario and this company’s professional staff.

Wanted to also let you know that the treatment provided by Angel today exceeded my expectations. He listened to my concerns and was very professional applying the treatment to my trees. He answered all my questions and concerns; gave me straight answers. Once again I can’t say enough about this company’s professional services and their staff.

Can't say enough about the level of professionalism, quality, and overall ease of working with the ArborTrue folks. I've used them twice now for huge jobs and they've handled everything seamlessly. Lovely folks to deal with personally, and they all communicate very well with their customers; taking the time to explain everything in detail, sharing their vast knowledge and experience. They're highly recommended from me!

Mario was so friendly and explained everything to me. I was afraid I was going to have to replace my tree, but he was very assuring that the tree would be fine.

On July 8th, my parents were hit by one of the nine tornadoes that touched down during the Tropical Storm Beryl. They called their insurance; Allstate and the insurance referred them to this company (ArborTrue Tree Service). My mother calls Mike Brown the representative for ArborTrue. He assures her he will be at their home with a crane to remove the tree safely from the house on Thursday, July 11th. On July 10th some guys showed up without a crane and my father could not communicate with them because they did not speak English. My mother had to go to work that day so she called Mr. Brown for my father for clarification, he informed her he didn’t realize they would get there today but that the workers would take care of the tree. My father realized while working in the back of the yard that they did not have a crane yet. He sees the workers trying to pick up the tree and then dropping the tree back on the house. He tries to communicate with them, but they ignore him. He calls my mom and she’s at work, so she doesn’t pick up. Around this time, the workers started cutting the tree on the roof, no crane showed up. They cut the huge tree on the roof and the wood falls onto the landscaping around the house destroying the landscaping and the septic system and cracking it, the A/C and destroying it, and the workers leave a water bottle in the plumbing vent pipe and did not pick up the huge tree stumps of wood all around the yard and get in their car and leave. My dad was so dumbfounded that he didn’t know what to do. Mind you, my mother was going to be home the day they were supposed to be there (Thursday) originally, and she had the contact person (Mike Brown) information, but my dad didn’t get that information from my mom when he spoke to her earlier that day. Okay, so imagine for a moment, a tree hits your house, but the foundation is still intact with no cracks (thank goodness). You’re landscaping with 50-year-old Azalea bushes and other plants is still intact (nice), the A/C was working in Texas heat because the tree didn’t hit it (thank the heavens) and your septic and other piping is intact even after all the flooding (thank you, Jesus). Then, you call a tree service that was REFERRED to you by your insurance company to take care of this tree professionally. They come early, with people you can’t communicate with, and they not only pick up the tree by hand that should have professionally been moved by a crane, and drop it back on your house which causes a crack in the foundation, and then they begin to cut the tree while it's still on your house since again they didn't use a crane and they couldn't move it by hand and then the wood rolls off the roof onto your 50-year-old Azalea bushes and other landscaping and destroys them and then onto your A/C unit and destroys that, then onto your septic tank and cracks that. You try to call them several times, they pick up one time say “sorry” and that’s it and never come out to pick up the tree they cut into a zillion pieces, your insurance company tells you “sorry but somehow you have to pay for it under your insurance” and the tree company never calls you back after they said sorry even though you try to call them to get compensation for the mess they created. I am not only ashamed of Allstate but this tree company. What kind of horribly callous and heartless individuals would you have to be to do this to a family that just experienced a catastrophic disaster to their house and then go there and make it WAY WORSE and then just say “sorry”? If you would like to reach out to my parents now that I left a terrible review for them please leave your information of a supervisor and they would be happy to reach out again.

Treated a Drake Elm in distress. Came 4 days earlier than originally scheduled to help calm our fears of losing the tree completely. It may still die, but they made a gallant effort to save it with bacteriacides, fungicides and special bark treatments so only time will tell. Arborist was very comprehensive in his assessment and technician followed through carefully with the treatments. Both men were professional and friendly. We would highly recommend them.

It was great to have Mario arrive as scheduled, he was professional, friendly, and he knows his trees. Very easy to work with. The estimate is fair and we will be proceeding with the work.
