Contractor reviews in Lubbock, Texas

Just wanted to share the great experience I had w/ Dalton Long and the team at Mendez General Contractor.
They replaced our roof & gutters and performed other misc fence/gate repairs. Highly recommend!!!

We are very happy with Mendez Construction. From the initial point of contact Landon was prompt and punctual. In this day of dealing with people who have no work ethic Landon and his crew exceeded our expectations! We highly recommend this company!

We love Mendez Contractors! They were quick, on time, and efficient on our gutter install. They also repaired some of our existing downspouts and when they noticed our side gate was broken they fixed that too. We are so happy to have found them. Will definitely do business again!

Landon and his two-man team arrived to work early on Sunday morning, 06/04/2023. His experienced crew immediately identified the source of the leak that's lately been dripping into the living room via one of the window frames. It was a pleasure meeting Landon and his small band of professionals. They were knowledgeable and they all had the nicest manners. Thank you sirs for you expediency and attention to detail. We strongly recommend Mendez General Contractors LLC.

I recommended Mendez General Contractors to clients of mine, and they were so quick to respond and go to the home they were buying and inspect the roof after a hail storm. I also greatly appreciate their integrity and honest service when they told us the home did not need a new roof and would definitely recommend them again!

I was very satisfied with my roof repair. Landon was very professional and informed me of everything in a manner I would understand! All the workers were very professional as well. I am definitely calling him back for more work I need done at my house and I will most definitely recommend Landon to others!

Art was amazing to work with!! Dad's roof looks amazing!! Insurance claims and big home repairs can be so worrisome and such a pain. Art at Mendez contractors made it so super easy and painless! Will definitely use them again and recommend to friends and family!!

Landon and his team are great! Replaced a roof on my investment home and there was no surprises. Started and finished on time and left property clean as they started. I highly recommend for any future project you may need done.

ABSOLUTE ROCKSTARS.!!!! Very professional & knowledgeable! Put your trust in them and sit back while they do their thing! We were in a huge bind and they came through for us quickly & efficiently. Took away our worries & did a phenomenal job. Thank you again!!

I recently had these guys handle a roofing job for me, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. Working with Landon was a smooth and seamless process from start to finish. Their team was professional, efficient, and highly skilled.

They completed the work on time and with great attention to detail. I highly recommend this company for any roofing repairs or replacements. Excellent service and outstanding results!

These guys are amazing!!! They replaced my roof and did a few other things because of hail damage and it looks great!! What's more is They took care of everything, down to the smallest details and made this process absolutely painless for me. I'm so happy I went with these guys. I'm replacing my windows in the future and Mendez General Contractors is definitely getting my business again. You won't be disappointed if you choose to use this company for any of your home needs. Thanks Mendez!!!

We've reached out via Facebook messenger to have our gutters fixed. We get automated responses. One response seems like a person was responding. We've called phone numbers and not getting anyone to respond or answer. Will update this once we get a response and have the gutters fixed.

My wife and I bought recently bought a house and moved back to Lubbock. I had Mendez General Contractors build an enormous back patio for us. I am so happy to have a nice place to relax, cook bbq, and make memories. I love how it turned out, and highly recommend them.

I’ve been waiting for over 4 months for my home to get fixed. Every time I ask for an updated status I get told someone will be there this week. No one ever shows up. When we hired the company to do our home they were texting and calling almost every single day asking for our insurance check to get started. As soon as I paid them I didn’t hear nothing from them until 2 months later. They worked on my roof and told me they were going to knock everything out within a week or two. After they finish my roof I didn’t hear from them until another month. Called and text multiple on site supervisors. No one would respond or answer. Had to call upper management for them to finally send someone out to work on part of my home. That was a month ago and haven’t seen anyone since. All their material they left has gotten rained on. While they were working on my home they removed shattered glass from the storm and left glass all in my yard. I had to text and call them multiple times about this. I have children that play outside all the time and could’ve easily got cut by their mistakes. Overall I am very unsatisfied.

JR, Jeremiah and everyone at Mendez have been extremely professional and prompt. They installed my roof quickly and correctly. They used high quality materials and have had constant communication with me. They did a wonderful job cleaning up as well. We are extremely satisfied with the final product and would definitely use Mendez again!

Extremely happy with the whole process. From start to finish the communication was great. The contractors we talked with before Mendez all had the same story of being 2-3 weeks delay on material. Mendez got us taken care of before they could. Highly recommended them.

Best roofing company in Lubbock hands down! Trace will take care of you and make sure it’s done right. His knowledge about the latest roofing products and his team’s workmanship is impeccable. Would highly recommend him to all my family and neighbors!!!

Trace with Gurss Roofing and his team were there when we needed them after the June 2025 storm. Boarding up windows, talking to insurance company, installing new roof, replacing windows, HVAC and other damaged areas of the house. So grateful for their help, kindness and professionalism.

Great work.

I wish I could show a picture. My roof leaks after putting on a metal roof and the moisture rotted out the wood under the roof. The underlip of the roof is hanging off and you can see my ceiling from outside.

Rollo Gurrs is the best in Lubbock for a reason, they did my roof in record time and made me feel like an actual human instead of just a number like my last roofer. I definitely recommend these guys if you want a truly local business that has your back!
