These guys are awesome. They carved out a way to see me on the same day I called, showed up when promised, fixed the issue in a half hour, were super reasonable on prices, and very informative with my 200 questions. Will definitely use them again!

Kerry and his team did a great job on the install day. Even though it was a super rainy day, they didn’t track any mud in the house and were very respectful throughout the process. Their prices were the best we were able to find and they were great from beginning to end. Would definitely recommend them to others.

Our upstairs HVAC unit started blowing hot air and I was panicked! I called Mathis and they were able to squeeze us in same day!
Matt came out and was able to diagnose the problem quickly and went to get the part for us. He was able to get it running of the evening and came back the next day with the compressor size we needed and fix the problem.
He was quick and efficent and I am so grateful for him!
Christi at the office is abosolutely the best and was so helpful and kind.
We will be using them again if ever needed in the future!

I had to get a whole new system replaced in my new home. Everyone on the team was great. Christie was nice and patient with me. She had great communication the entire time. She gave me options and broke everything down for me. She even worked to get my new system installed ASAP, especially having a 4 week old in a house with no AC. Kerry also did a great job. He came out quickly to do the initial inspection, stayed in communication and made sure we were good the entire time. The whole process from choosing the system, setting up financing and installation was smooth, easy and stress free. And now I can enjoy AC just in time for summer to come.

I was tired of my old 15 year old air conditioner unit breaking down several times every year and finally decided to get an estimate on a new cooling and heating unit. I requested an estimate from Mathis Air & Heat and Christie set up an appointment the next day for me to meet with their company representative, Kerry Head. He was very professional and explained what his company had to offer. He didn't try to pressure me and talk me into purchasing the highest priced unit and took time to answer all my questions. I accepted his offer and had the new system installed. The installers removed my old inside and outside units, installed the new system, cleaned up everything, and removed off all the debris in about 4 hours. they were knowledgeable, experienced, and polite and did a great job. Kerry arrived with the installers, came back during the installation, and after the job was completed to make sure everything was done correctly. Many thanks to the office representative, Christie, for her help in setting up the appointments, helping to fill out the Customer Warranty Information, explaining the different credit options and her friendly attitude. I can't say enough about this company and their excellent and professional customer service. I highly recommend them!

WOW! We are VERY, VERY happy with the Mathis Air & Heat LLC. We needed to replace our 25 years old A/C system and after extensive research we chose this company. We are glad that we found this honest and experienced people for our big project. Kerry was very knowledgeable and recommended us the best replacement option. Entire job was done in one day, the installers were very professional and after job they cleaned everything in and out. We couldn’t be happier with the quality of work we have received. The price was very reasonable and we look forward to having this company servicing our new system in coming years. If you want to replace your A/C system don’t look anymore. Recently our AC units and 2 compressors went out and after obtaining several estimates, we found that Mathis Air & Heat were the most honest and caring. Matt came out initially and checked the systems and seemed very caring regarding our needs. He wasn't concerned about only replacing the entire systems, but gave us more options to help us decide what was the best alternatives and how it would be more economical in the long run. The other companies that we received estimates were more concerned about our purchasing these expensive systems from them. The workers that installed our units were fast and reliable. Kerry Mathis came out to check and verify work being done and personally oversaw the work. I felt very special from the beginning to the end of the process which was very professional and personal customer service. Christie was very personal, walked me through the process for financing and could not believe how quick the process was completed. It was a 3 hour process to install flooring in attic and installing those heavy duty systems. We purchased an 18 seer unit and it is worth every dime. My husband & I would highly recommend Mathis to everyone because they will be ensuring that our system's 2 year maintenance free will be trouble free. Thank you Mathis family for your care and support while going through this horrific discomfort and making us feel special. We are elated with this quiet cool system!!!!!!

Solid professionals!!!! I have used them for years with many of my clients. I have always been able to count on them. They always strive to save the client money and do the job right.

We are new customers with only our first maintenance visit completed, but I’m impressed so far! Really like the fact that they had so many good reviews and are locally owned and operated.

Mathis air conditioning is the best when you need knowledge and experience for a system. My older home's central system was added to the house 30 years after it was built with piecemeal equipment and wiring (no inspection necessary for electrical in my neck of the world). It's a beast of a vintage venting system with archaic thermostats here and there.

Mathis is the only Company that has been able to come right in and work on the issue without giving a blank look and saying, "l have never seen this before?". I have used them for 15 years now and it hasn't changed when it comes to knowledge and professionalism. I'm sure something could and has phazed them over the years on job sites , but l can't imagine a set-up Scarier than mine.

Speaking of scary, there's nothing scarier than an a/c system being down to me. I have MS and heat causes a serious down time. Mathis is always responsive to this and is the only company l have trusted for upgrades (including thermostat!).

Christi, on dispatch, fields the calls and the parts and accessories research, and is herself very knowledgeable and practical. She is also friendly and has the reassuring voice you want to hear when a system goes down in the Texas summer!

I would never hesitate to recommend Mathis to anyone.

Overall great experience. Kerry communicated everything very well. We needed a replacement for one of our units and he listened to what we wanted and provided several options to review. He explained the different payment options as well as a cash option. He gave us a couple of dates to choose from for them to come out to install. Everything was very smooth. His crew was on time and very professional. We’ll continue to use Mathis in the future.

I called this company to check my ac that was just blowing room air. They sent an elderly guy who wasn't friendly at all. I didn't care about his attitude much but when he lied to me, I got concerned and decided to write this review so others can be aware when they contract this company. He found out that my capacitor was out and he told me that he was going to get it himself from a store in Allen for $200. I asked him if it can be bought from Home Depot and he said that it is only sold at a particular store to licensed individuals. He further told me that it is very dangerous to install it when you're not skilled as "you can burn the whole house" (Didn't believe him). I was skeptical at what he was saying and I looked it up. I found out that it is not only sold at Home Depot but it only costs $8.60! When he came back from the store, he declined to give us the receipt for the part. I called their office and they said that they don't give out receipts for the parts and they don't even breakdown the cost on their receipt as they are(according to their receptionist) "out to make money". I'd never hire this company again and I'd advice that anybody looking to hire an honest and reputable company should stay away from them.In my opinion, they're just out to con people by exaggerating the prices of parts. If they were honest, they'd simply give out receipts or at list list the prices of parts on their receipts like other companies.

After two weeks of thoughtful consideration, I’ve decided to write my very first 1-star review. My hope is that those of you reading this can learn from my experience.

When my AC stopped working on 4/12/18 I searched around and selected Mathis Air based on the 5-star reviews I found. I gave them a call and was thrilled when they were able to get a technician to my house a few hours later to thoroughly inspected my AC system. They politely explained to me that in addition to a Freon leak, my condenser and evaporator coil were bad and needed to be replaced. I wasn’t surprised given the age of the unit and was thankful when they walked me through a variety of energy efficient replacements ranging from $5-$7.5K. I would have scheduled an appointment to get it replaced on the spot however my insurance company required that I get a second opinion.

The second company came out a few days later and I was quite surprised with the result. They replaced an $80 capacitor, put in a new filter, and my system was immediately fixed. The Freon was fully charged and there were no leaks. Despite their advanced age, the condenser and evaporator coil are perfectly fine.

Further, it’s impossible for Mathis to have diagnosed the individual parts of the system without immediately noticing the capacitor was bad. Even if they were able to “jump it” to test the other parts of the system (as they later claimed), they would have found everything in working order. I know this for a fact because the AC works!!

I understand that replacing the aging system would save me a few bucks in electricity every month but that is not the issue here. It cost me a little over $100 to repair my AC system. Had I not gotten a second opinion, I would have spent $5k+ on a new system and probably written a glowing 5-star review. Thankfully I got that second opinion and hopefully saved you a few grand as well.
