I recently enlisted the services of Rent A Man to address an issue with my shower, where water was simultaneously flowing from both the shower head and spout. The initial phone interaction was positive, with assurances that such problems were routinely handled by their technicians.

However, my experience took a disappointing turn during the actual repair process. The technician identified a valve issue, claiming a specific part, priced at $60, needed replacement. Notably, no receipt or proof of purchase for this part was provided. Post-repair, the original problem persisted unabated. The technician, appearing sincere, promised to research a solution and return to complete the job the next day. Based on this assurance, I paid the full repair costing several hundred dollars.

It has been over a week since, and not only has the issue remained unresolved, but repeated attempts to contact the technician for follow-up have been met with silence. This lack of communication and failure to fulfill the promised service leaves me feeling both dissatisfied and financially exploited. As it stands, I paid in full for a service that was never completed, creating a sense of having been unfairly treated.

I urge potential customers to exercise caution and consider my experience when deciding to engage with Rent A Man for their services.

Great experience overall. We had a couple of small fixes/repairs. Chad was efficient, courteous, and worked around my schedule. As a bonus he was great with my dogs, which they really appreciated!

DFW Rent a Man and Chad, in particular are first class gems! They are responsive, professional and honest. The thing I appreciated the most was being told that he could not complete the job, but instead to do it right, they needed to do a little research, get the right part and come back. Chad explained every single step and why the solution we had was sub par. He gave me options and would have given me an “easier” fix but offered me the “right” fix. That level of service, humility and honesty is invaluable. He also answered with patience and respect about 127 questions from my 7yo about what he was doing while he worked…

They are great, fast response to your needs. Chad has been helping me to fix multiple problems at our house and He is very polite, fast and clean with high quality work, willing to work with me on details of the repairs. I am very glad to find them, and highly recommend.

We had several things around the house that needed done— hanging blinds, hanging pictures, and other little things. Chad was absolutely wonderful! He was very detailed, efficient, courteous and professional! We will call him for our new house! Highly recommend this service!

Chad does excellent work and even cleans thoroughly after each repair or installation. He’s friendly, helpful, and caring. We have recommended him several times. He’s done multiple projects for us, and he never disappoints.

I had landscape lights which did not work. Chad had repaired a light switch and the doorbell switch. I asked for him to return and repair the landscape lights he said he could fix. He came back and did a great job of finally getting all the lights repaired. I had tried for a couple years to get someone to do the job. No one seemed to want the business. Chad made sure the connections are good, tight, and free of corrosion so the low wattage bulbs will not have to be replaced often because of arcing.
LED solar lights are popular now, but I like the soft glow of the low-wattage lights. I have the lights in front and back on timers, so that in the evening and the morning it looks like someone lives here. I am elderly and live alone, and having the landscape lights work make my life better. I am grateful for the polite and professional help Chad provided for me.

My husband and I decided to hire Rent A Man DFW to complete some much needed exterior brick work and correct several plumbing issues. After reading through many reviews we made the decision to go with Rent A Man DFW and it was the best decision we ever made. Chad is amazing. He is professional, punctual and does excellent work in a timely fashion. The brickwork he completed around the exterior of the house was done flawlessly.....you can't notice any of the repairs made. We have additional work that needs to be completed and we will be working with Rent A Man DFW again and of course, will be requesting Chad.

Chad and Ricky came out to assemble a sauna for me. Chad is very professional and responsible. They built the sauna in just over an hour when I was quoted 4+ hours at another handyman. Good price, good communication, on time. He actually came back the same day to help find a controller that we later found out my son misplaced. Luckily while he was there we tested the sauna and found that a panel wasn't heating properly. He quickly reset the wiring and it works great now. He is very responsible and friendly and I will not hesitate to use him again for other projects. Thanks Chad!

Same day appointment (at last minute call) and Dave was super responsive! Within minutes he set me up with a Technician. Chad was the Technician sent out to cover my service. He was very professional and responsible.

Chad came by to assist with installing our new Water Heater- and we were just overwhelmed. He came on time after calling ahead to notify of his arrival time. And when we had an issue with the incorrect size for the heater, he went above and beyond to ensure we got the correct size, and proceeded to install it efficiently. His professionalism and sincerity struck me. His work ethic was impressive and the end-result was top notch. We strongly recommend Chad and his company and will not hesitate to use them in the future. Chad is The Man!

Just had repair of the eave on roof where squirrels were trying to get through! Chad did a fabulous job in finding a better quality wood and paint. Chad worked quickly and efficiently with a great outcome. He also cleaned my gutters and went over and beyond with gathering some piles of leaves I had raked and put into bags. I would definitely recommend them as your next handyman!

We received excellent service. Chad arrived on time and did a fantastic job! He fixed numerous items in our house that included a hole in the drywall, tile shower repair, fence repair and an attic ladder. All in a timely efficient fashion. We were super pleased and would definitely recommend him!

Chad fixed ourrusty and squeaky attic fan. Chad was very professional, seems like a great guy and we haven't heard any noise. Also, the service was responsive and was able to get Chad out here quickly. We look forward to doing more business.

Update as of 6/25/2024:
I am going to leave this review up as I appreciate Chad's hard work. Chad is a really great technician.

Unfortunately, at this point, I may be working with Rent a Man less. I rented out my house and my tenant hasn't received a response about scheduling a job he has that I approved of. This is part of a pattern where Rent a Man provides great service but getting scheduled, especially timely information about when they will be able to come out, is very difficult and inconsistent, with a week of delays and multiple followup communications being needed before the time they can come out is communicated.

With a tenant this makes scheduling too hard because clearly communicating a schedule to them in a timely way is important for them. For myself I will still use their service if I live in DFW in the future because I appreciate Chad's work and also he's a great guy and a pleasure to work with.

My constructive feedback to Rent a Man is - it's understandable to be busy, but if you can quickly and reliably communicate a schedule and stick to it, "We can make it out on the 9th" or whatever, even if it's two weeks out, that would go a long way.

Rent A Man had the best prices by far! Victor helped get my same-day appointment set up quickly and hassle free. Chad was my handyman. He was timely, knowledgeable, a great conversationalist, and quick. Without a doubt, I will definitely use Rent A Man again!

Chad showed up and I saw right away he was the real deal. I had a leaky faucet by my pool and he arrived with three sets of internal guts saying that he wasn't sure what my faucet was comparable with so he covered all the bases!
Ten minutes later the leak was completely fixed.

Let me just say that it's awesome to work with someone who thinks ahead!

My door lock was damaged and sticking but I had no time to get a new one for Chad to install. He priceed to break down the lock I had and clean and hone all the mechanisms. He reassembled the unit and it's now smooth as silk.

We had an exterior hose spigot replaced. The service was prompt and professional. I would recommend the technician and the company to a friend or neighbor.

Amazing company. Great phone etiquette. Treated me like a normal customer and actually tried to help me out. Gave me a package price for 2 faucets, 2 drain pipes and 4 shut off valves. Called on Saturday afternoon and there amazing tech Chad was out to do the work at 6 pm and finished promptly. No drama..no.surprises. no haggling. The person on the phone was a prime.example on customer service skills. I will be using and recommending them to all family and friends. There price was more competitive than the rest of the companies i called. Chad was amazing prompt respectful and detailed with his work.

Very happy with rent a man dfw. I needed some handyman work and a bed frame repair and they had the lowest prices when I called around. They came to my house in a timely fashion and Chad was very professional. I will be definitely be using them again in the future.
