It is always a pleasure to do business with Slater. Through the years I have depended on them many times and they always come through in a big way. Rowlett friends, if you don't know these fine folks do yourself a favor and stop in.

Slater Lawn and Garden is the only place I call for sprinkler repairs. The team they send out is knowledgeable, fast, and efficient. They came out and surveyed my sprinklers, fixed a few broken heads, and modified most of my sprinkler heads to throw at appropriate distances.

I called another time a few months later because one of the sprinkler heads was run over. They were able to quickly move and replace the sprinkler a few feet further away.

The prices have been very reasonable. I’d highly recommend calling them out!

Called Slater out to troubleshoot my sprinkler system. Had a discussion with the tech that was dispatched about the work he did the previous year. He explained clearly what he did and why he did it. I asked him to troubleshoot the current issue and let me know how much it would cost. 15 minutes later I got a call from the Slater office wanting to know what the problem was. After explaining that there was no problem, just wanted an explanation for my understanding, I was told that the tech had left with out troubleshooting and that he would return when he had time. Further discussion about billing I learned that I was expected to pay for the tech leaving without doing the troubleshooting I'd asked for. At the end of the call, we decided not to do business with each other. I was disappointed in how the situation was handled, but appreciated the attitude of the office person on the phone.

I had a line in my irrigation system start leaking and called Slater L&G to to come out and fix it. The gentleman on the phone was super nice and scheduled my appointment and I also described another issue I wanted them to look at while they were out. Today the repairmen came out and were efficient determining and fixing the broken pipe. They also fixed the main unit and then we discovered several other leaks that they quickly fixed. I would definitely recommend Slater to anyone in the area needing a sprinkler system repaired.

I had a pretty intense leak in my yard and needed someone to get there and repair it as I didn’t have the time to fix it myself and there were a lot of other issues with my sprinkler system.

Mr. Slater was very nice and easy to work with on the phone. The two gentlemen who came out for the repair were very fast and efficient. They fixed the leak in less than 30 minutes and repaired the multitude of problems with our sprinkler system.

Since I was apparently using the sprinkler box wrong, they also showed me how to use it correctly.

I would highly recommend these guys for any sprinkler job!

Noticing they do landscaping and fencing, we are keeping that in mind as those jobs come down the pipeline for us.

Go with Slater, you’ll be glad you did.

Slater Lawn and Garden is an AWESOME company. They responded quickly to my inquiry and had three guys out the next day ready to repair and replace what was wrong with my sprinkler system. They were professional, kind, and incredibly helpful. Slater- the owner- had great communication with me, and Ray and his team, who came out to fix my system, were amazing, quick, and efficient at a GREAT price. I really feel lucky that I was able to find them to help me in my sprinkler situation. Definitely use them- you won’t regret it.

These guys are great! They did a wonderful job trimming all of my trees and cleaning up. I would recommend them to anyone. I will be calling them in the future to help out.

Joe and Julie Garcia are wonderful to work with. Joe came to our property in a very timely manner to give the bid for our scope of work. The bid was given within hours via email. iI had to pry bids out of another company after they were here. All questions were answered almost immediately for things I was unsure about. Bottom line.. I told them to GO! And GO they did. This was a pretty big job and I even ask for a bid on another project after they arrived. I approved that job too. The extra work was not satisfactory to JOE, not me. He did far more than he bid to make sure the project "LOOKED GOOD". And it did and was very functional. In fact they did a little bit extra on all areas of the scope of work because they take pride in their work. I truly appreciate that. I now have flower beds where weeds once were. I now have a driveway access from the street that is smooth and wonderful. All done in a day and this was a huge project considering I added the driveway stuff after they arrived for the flower bed work? HIRE THEM.

We have used Joe for 4 + years now. He does all our yard and bush / tree work. Fixed a drain problem in the yard, repaired our gutter problem, completely replaced our stone around our grill when the new one was a different size, puts up our Christmas lights. He is my go to guy when I need anything done around the house and yard.

And the best thing is he has become a friend.

When I had a few health issues in the last year he told my wife if she ever needed anything to just call, he would be here!

Mr. Garcia responds promptly and provided us an estimate quickly with very fair pricing. We opted for a cedar picket fence and couldn't be happier. We had around 5 other quotes from other contractors and I would pick Joe and his crew again and again. We had a French drain installed in addition to a cedar picket fence.

I would also like to add that we needed him to stop by and check on our gate, given it seemed to have shifted. The fence was put up mid- summer and I texted him today October 23rd to which he responded very quickly and showed up, all under 30 mins. The gate was NOT a craftsmanship issue but rather our shifting soil here in Rowlett.

Honestly, it's hard to find good people these days who will give you a fair price and excellent craftsmanship but that's what we received from Joe and I would happily recommend him and his crew to everyone.

Joe Garcia did a wonderful job on our three trees! He went over & beyond what we expected. Also, he stacked the limbs at the curb as we requested & cleaned up all of the remaining debris. Needless to say, we highly recommend him!
