Constraction reviews in Sachse, Texas

Decathlon Construction built a covered patio on my house. They did an awesome job and were so easy to work with! I am very satisfied with all aspects of the project.

It was great doing business with Decathlon Construction. I found them to be a good value while still providing a quality product. There was no over-sale. They took care of all the details including: permits, handling HOA compliance and forms. Jerry Terry took the ideas my wife and I had and came up with a spot on vision of what we wanted. He had great images of similar patio/house combinations so I could visualize the final product. In fact, the final product looked even better than what we had visualized! April Terry kept me updated of the progress and was responsive to my questions when they arose. The crew did a great job with construction and clean-up. The subcontractors were great. I was extremely impressed the the stain subcontractor. If I need something in the future, I would certainly give them a call.

Decathlon Construction is a very professional operation from their first visit to learn about your desires and providing an estimate to the construction and completion and clean up. Jerry was very helpful in developing our vision for our patio cover and April was there to answer questions as well as keeping us updated on the building schedule. We could not be happier with our new patio cover or the experience of working with Decathlon Construction.

Decathlon is very professional. They came up with a beautiful patio design, then went above and beyond throughout the process. We are so happy with our patio. It transformed our backyard into a usable fun space for our family. April and Jerry are truly awesome at what they do. Best contractor we have ever used!

April and Jerry Terry of Decathlon Construction are top notch!! Decathlon created and built an amazing outdoor space for us! The scheduling of all phases of construction was perfectly smooth and communicated very well. Attention was spot on! Crews were courteous, clean and impeccable craftsmanship! We have had many other construction projects over the years with other contractors- those projects were laden with many difficulties. We had none of those issues with Decathlon! You will not be disappointed! I am super picky and they exceeded all my expectations!!

We have worked with Decathlon Construction for both of our backyard projects. Several of our neighbors have contracted with them after seeing our first covered deck seven years ago. Last year we decided to extend the roof to cover the entire deck and tie it all in to the house. We called Jerry and April again because we knew the work would be the highest quality. Again they exceeded our expectations! Every person who worked on our project was polite, thoughtful and skilled. The best and most important thing about Decathlon is that Jerry and April do not consider the job finished until the customer is satisfied. I've been told I'm very "picky." I can usually spot a flaw or defect a mile away! It's a curse because I am rarely satisfied with any contractor's work, but Decathlon never lets me down. Thank you Jerry and April and all of your employees!

Jerry and April Terry, owners of Decathlon Construction, have completed two patio covers, a fence, a concrete walkway, and a deck for us over the years. Every project was completed quickly, on schedule, very professionally, and at a reasonable price. The results always look amazing! Their crews are always very respectful of our property, and leave the site very clean when they're finished. I recommend Decathlon Construction without any reservations.

Hello, I'm not one to write reviews typically though I wanted to share my experience. Jerry and Team completed a patio cover and stamped concrete project a few years ago. The job was done on-time, on budget, with great communication from his Team along the way. No complaints, I only wish we would have added a fire place and outdoor grill at the time! that's on me. What I really want to call out is that even though it's been a few years, we recently experienced some damage to the patio cover caused by a recent storm. I contacted Decathlon Construction to ask a few questions so our roofers could complete the repairs. The response time was quick, thorough, and accurate! I'll be sure to call again when the need arises for our next project. Thanks again!

I am very happy with the work done by Decathlon Construction! Great planning, project management, and craftsmanship on my new covered patio! They communicated consistently, were clear on the project, and delivered on time and on budget. The construction itself was all top notch! I highly recommend them!

Decathlon Construction is a 1st rate organization.
The workmanship and materials are the best. Terry and April are a great help and will guide you through the entire project.
They can build anything you want and it will be magnificent and worth every penny. Your new addition will last a lifetime.

My family has now worked with Decathlon for three big projects and we've had the best experience each and every time! They came highly recommended for our latest project - an extended back deck/patio for our poolside living this summer.

They were extremely responsive, knowledgable and engaging when it came to the planning part of the process. Listening to what our vision was, while making recommendations based on their expertise.

Over the course of the project, we were always kept up to speed with the timeline and were constantly updated with what was upcoming. The communication and transparency was top notch!

The crews that worked directly on our property were super kind, generous (moved dirt for us even before we asked from the back to the front), clean and efficient. They were extremely good at what they tasked to do and the finished product is a shining example of their skill.

Overall I would highly recommend using Decathlon Construction and will 100% be reaching out to them for any future projects. Super professional, genuine and trustworthy.

Thanks for the amazing living space (and new home for our margarita machine!

We used Decathlon to put in a new covered patio and outdoor kitchen in our backyard and they did an absolutely amazing job. The quality of work is first class all around and their quality of service and responsiveness to questions or changes along the way was exceptional. They also handled everything with the HOA from start to finish and so made a breeze out of what could have been a very complicated and stressful process. Their work has completely transformed our backyard and we couldn't be happier. Definitely highly recommend them!

April and Jerry are very kind, and were patient and consultative during our contractor selection process as well as with our design selection. Further, the crew were incredibly professional, friendly, helpful and responsive. We received weekly updates of the work or activity anticipated for the week. Our construction occurred in the middle of April so our schedule was constantly changing due to the rain, but April T. kept us informed, promptly rescheduled the work and completed the work as promised. The craftsmanship in general is top quality but the carpentry specifically is unrivaled which was observed and vocalized by the city inspector. We are beyond happy with the finished product and will definitely use Decathlon Construction for all future outdoor projects.

Decathlon gave us the most positive home improvement / home repair experience we have ever had. Decathlon built us a beautiful patio structure with rough wood and concrete. They were very accommodating with some of our customization desires, including the need for a different kind of wood considering my wife's allergy. Their price was extremely fair, yet they delivered a level of quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail that should have cost twice as much. The team was quick to respond, operated with swiftness and accuracy, and everyone was highly respectful of our home, including keeping the space clean and ensuring we were totally satisfied every step of the way. All my thanks and praise to Decathlon for giving us the outdoor space we have wanted for years.

Decathlon Construction is perhaps one of the best construction companies in the Country! They built a beautiful stand alone carport over our driveway. What stands out about Decathlon is the attention to detail. Their work crews are meticulous! I’ve never seen a work crew work so well together and take such pride in their work. From day one when they dug the four 3.5 foot deep holes for the cedar beams and set them in cement I knew this outfit was different. The only areas disturbed were the holes and everything around them was undisturbed and clean. After allowing the cement to cure, they returned and in a matter of days the structure was built. I was impressed with their efficiency, the attention to detail, and how at the end of each day the job site was clean!

Jerry & April, owners of Decathlon are so easy to work with - Jerry Is the one who initially meets with potential Clients sets up the job. From there a detailed contract Is agreed upon, and then April stays on top of everything (i.e. timing, arrival of crew, what to expect each day, etc.) and does a great job! Communication between April and myself was always timely and pleasant! I know with Google reviews you can only give up to five stars. I’m telling you this company is stellar and deserves a 5+ star!! Someday we will probably use them again to build a pergola. Not so much that we really need one, but because a pergola built by Decathalon will add greater appeal and value to our home! We heard about Decathalon from a couple of friends who hired them to build patio covers …they pretty much said the same thing I’ve said! Decathalon is the best!

One year later. Decathlon added a patio cover to my shop over a year ago. My wife and I had just completely redone our 1979 home and added a 2nd master bathroom on the master. The cover came last. Fortunately, it restored my faith in contractors. I had worked with several "contractors" over the preceding year and I was at my wits end.
Jerry and I had worked on my plans and thoughts for a couple of weeks and we had gotten it where we both understood the scope and work to be done. They showed up on time in vehicles that showed they were proud of their work and I told my wife we were going to enjoy working with professionals. There were at least two foreman quality workers at the job each day with at least two additional helpers which was perfect for the scope of the work. I could go on, but just wanted to give them a one-year later review. The finished product is still perfect. I can't thank them enough for keeping an old man from going insane. I worked in Real Estate for 40 years and I would recommend them to any of my clients. Thanks Jerry and April and the gang at Decathlon Construction!

I cannot say enough good things about Jerry and his team at Decathlon Construction. They installed a concrete patio and installed 3 new doors in my house, including a set of french doors where a wall used to be. Jerry helped me decide what to build that was within my budget and then his crew was absolutely amazing implementing it. They showed up when they said they would and got the work done quickly. And it's beautiful! I love, love, love my patio. After all the recent rains, the doors swelled a bit and they came the very next day after I called to fix it. Truly a wonderful experience!

We were referred by friends who had a great experience and they did not disappoint! We had a great experience as well. April and Jerry were very responsive and addressed any questions we had along the way. We had our back porch totally redone and it’s like a whole new living and dining space. We absolutely love it!!

Decathlon Construction built our patio cover. Terry and April were very professional and quick to respond to questions. I was impressed with all of their crews that worked on our project. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Decathlon Construction and their team did an awesome job with my patio project. Everyone was very professional and provided quality service. They answered all of my questions and kept me updated on everything. Very impressive. I highly recommend this company. I appreciate all of their work and effort.

Amazing work and quality. Great team at Decathlon, communication was great and vision of what is possible, gave us great ideas to make the best decisions. Super happy with them and especially our patio and outside kitchen. Now we have an extra room and can enjoy being outside in the Texas heat. Thanks Decathlon
