I am thrilled with the services Dennis and his team were able to provide. I would 10/10 recommend his team and plan to do more work with them in two more phases of landscaping within the next 12 months.

From initially reaching out to Dennis, setting up a site visit, getting a quote, and starting and completing the landscaping work, I have been completely satisfied with DRH Landscaping’s services. He communicates, follows up and follows through, and knows what he’s doing. He also has an artistic eye to help make your landscaping vision come true.

I had moved out of state for several years and unfortunately, with my hired landscaping people, yard clean ups and maintenance were something they stopped doing about three years ago. As a result, the yard fell into quite a bit of disarray compounded by the devastatingly harsh freezes in the last couple of years that annihilated the beautiful landscaping we once had. We tried to keep up with the landscaping needs, but it got overwhelming as time went on and the needs snowballed. My yard was in desperate need for TLC and the replacement of the rotting landscaping timbers which I am going to guess were about 20 years old or more. I needed leaf and brush removal, dirt and mulch, and new retaining walls. I would guess that the leaves were about 3” thick at the point we got started – it was overwhelming.

I shared my vision with Dennis and how I felt my current landscaping timber retaining walls, brick retaining walls, pea gravel sidewalk, and limestone rock flower bed borders did not have a cohesive feel to it. I wanted a more organic feel and to try to improve the hodge podge feel of all the different materials used. The landscaping timbers were also placed in a harsh pattern with strong angles (more modern-like?) than the natural, flowing curves of both the patio walkway, brick retaining walls, and limestone flower bed borders.

Dennis understood my vision and put his artistry into action and delivered a beautiful result. I knew I wanted stonework retaining walls but not brick – Dennis suggested Oklahoma Red Flagstone and another gray Flagstone to help blend into the natural landscape as well as the brickwork of the house. I would never have thought to use two different flagstones – but that is more natural – variegation in nature! It’s gorgeous and it reminds me of walking through the creek beds and the quarries in the local area where you can see the beautiful, natural rock walls. The retaining walls have a nice, gentle curve to them now and drainage was also considered with appropriate drainage holes placed inconspicuously but yet also functionally in the flagstone. For financial reasons, we decided to keep the brick retaining walls where they were already placed and I barely notice the stark difference in materials as I did before – the hardscaping blends so much more naturally now.

The work was done in expedient manner – one day for yard clean-up/removal that took between 4-5 hours and another day for hardscaping and mulching which was about 8 hours. The team was friendly, helpful, and respectful and no one left until Dennis came to check out the work and get the “okay” from me. They took care of removing all of the debris, I didn’t find any trash later, and they sprayed down areas that needed to be.

Dennis is a hard-working, honest businessman with awesome communication skills and that artistic eye that is such a gift when it comes to landscaping. He told me before we started, “I will treat your home like my home” and he held true to that promise.

100/10 would recommend Dennis and his crew. They worked fast and were the most professional of anyone I have ever worked with. Got my backyard drainage issues taken care of, now I’m using them for the front yard. Amazing!!! Couldn’t be happier! Do yourself a favor and call them.

Edit: Called Dennis again for the front yard a couple weeks later. Same great service, same amazing product! Still 110/10 would recommend!!!

They did a fantastic job on our landscaping project, installing decorative stepping stones, creating a beautiful white stone border, and filling a large fenced area with crushed limestone. My wife and I just finished working with Dennis to complete our front yard and it was a great experience. We received a recommendation for him from my coworker. Dennis is very communicative and was able to come out to give us a quote within a day or two. We walked through a basic plan with him and he was able to give us a breakdown quote that night, which I appreciated. We had several changes and several different quotes from other companies before deciding to go with Dennis. His price was reasonable and fair but what sold us was his knowledge, communication, and his flexibility with changing plans. We informed him of our budget and he worked with us to try to squeeze as much as he could into to.

Ultimately we decided to re-do our front yard with grass, irrigation system, a walkway for the side of the house, a drain for water build up, tree trimming, and some mulch beds. Dennis and his team were punctual and professional. Attention to detail matters to me and I appreciated how his crew were all wearing matching work shirts with the company logo. His crew was consistently working during the time they were here and cleaned up very nicely after every days work. Upon completion of the work, all trash was hauled away, and the area was cleaned. We had a ton of compliments from my neighbors. We look forward to working with Dennis in the future for some lights in the front yard, as well as redoing our backyard. After doing many months of research, multiple landscapers, a few bids and a couple no-shows, we were lucky to have found Dennis. Dennis and his team transformed our front yard and restored our homes beautiful curb appeal. Dennis knew how to take our vision and where we were lacking,his experience and eye for detail filled in that gap. He and his crew I believe went way and above what we were expecting. They are very hard workers, courteous, friendly, and were respectful to us and property. They showed up ready to work each morning in professional attire and left the worksite clean at the end of the day. Thank you Dennis and crew!

We had sod laid by Jeff and his team and it looks amazing! Price was very reasonable and he gave us a few extra needed items on top of the sod as we went to help get us where we needed to be! Almost a month later our lawn is looking green already, filling in, and we know it will just continue to look better! We’ve got some weeds coming through the sod gaps but nothing too crazy, and that’s to be expected, our old “grass” was all weeds and hard to kill off to prep!
We also got a garden bed and tree ring installed and those also look amazing. Highly recommend to anyone looking for lawn services!

Hey Internet world I just want to chime in I’ve known this man for more than 30 years I met him at Loring Air Force Base, Maine. His father and my father worked together in the Air Force. He’s a family man, old school values, and anybody getting their lawn or any service for that matter from his company will be well pleased, and well serviced five stars automatic enough said.

These guys were accommodating, professional, and efficient. Jeff (owner) is very knowledgeable and honest and did great work to my backyard. Will definitely be using their services again and will tell my fiends as well.

I contracted this guy for lawn leveling back in Feb. He told me he could do the job I described and headed to my house to start the project. I was at work that day, but came home during my lunch hour to find his workers had spread a mulch looking mix on my lawn. I told him this is not what it's supposed to look like since I had already done my research. He reassured me that he had been doing this for years blah, blah, blah. Well I paid him the invoice as he handed me written instructions for aftercare (which I followed). Then he asked me to rate him online before he left. Fast forward to Spring: My grass grew back, but the lawn is not leveled at all. The grass is patchy and still very bumpy, and now I have a buildup up of thick mulch mixed with white rock chips throughout my yard. I contacted him today to try to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, he offered suggestions that would ultimately cost me more money.

Jeff and his crew installed a new fence, removed trees, sealed the new fence, etc. They were absolutely phenomenal! The prices were just a good too. These guys were extremely knowledgeable, professional, respectful and accommodating.

I was so pleased with Jeff and his team's work! He was very prompt and communicated with my throughout the process. (Complete sod front and back). I waited a couple of weeks to see how yard would take and considering the weather, we are absolutely pleased. Will definitely call him back to do other touches on our yard.
