I have been to the store a few times and have always been greated with a smile. As someone with a background in chemistry, I can say that the owner is very knowledgeable about his products and makes solid recommendations to correct and maintain pool water chemical balance. When I needed to replace my 15 year old pump, he came up with a great option that I am very happy with. He also threw in a heavy dose of liquid chlorine to keep the algae at bay while we waiting for the pump to be delivered. The installation went very smoothly. I will definitely be purchasing my pool supplies here in the future.

Made appointment. They never came for quote or called. Tried again on line and no one has called when they advertise they will contact you within 48 hours. Would not recommend them. Would be very hard to trust them.

I went into the store with the intention of buying a new vacuum. I was the only one in the store and none of the three employees in the store could even acknowledge I was there, let alone help with buying a vacuum.

I turned around and left and drove a little further down Kuykendahl to Leslies, where they quickly helped me out with a new vacuum and ironically at much cheaper price than this place.

The owner and his wife are knowledgeable and trustworthy. They personally rescued our pool after a different pool guy I hired stop showing up and we had algae in our new pool!

I brought a water sample from my pool and Juan Carlos tested it and taught me what everything meant (for free). He is a great teacher. Once he saw how bad our pool had gotten, he personally came to my house that same evening and started the process of shocking and restoring the levels to what they needed to be.

Over the next several days either he or his wife personally came out after hours and treated our pool at no additional cost. I just signed up for a weekly cleaning (at a reasonable price) and they did the rest.

Thank you both! We are back on track now.

The weekly service is also excellent with an email sent to me every time with a picture of my pool and details of what was completed that day. Wish we had come here sooner!

Very knowledgeable and helpful. I have been a client for 9 months and love this place. They analyze my water and only tell me which chemicals I really need and my pool looks great. The owner, JC, is a great guy.

They have been cleaning and maintaining my pool for three years. They are always on time and do a great job. I highly recommend them.

Giving this place only a 2 star simply because they are not reliable on the store hours they keep. They are not there when the posted store hours say they are open. I have called the phone number and the store owner says he will be there in 10 minutes and then never shows up. This is no way to run a business.

The owners are great; very helpful. We took over maintaining our pool this year and they’ve made it really easy to get the chemicals balanced.

Upon cleaning day today 12/28/24, it became evident that the cleaning was not performed to a satisfactory For example: "The pool was not adequately vacuumed, leaving debris on the bottom. The water line was not properly scrubbed, and the filter appeared to have been neglected.

Furthermore, when I contacted the manager, to express my concerns, I encountered extremely rude and unprofessional behavior. He was argumentative and dismissive of my legitimate complaints. This is not an isolated incident, as I have experienced similar issues with the quality of service and the manager's attitude on previous occasions.

This is my first year with a house with a pool and I can say Pinch a Penny has been the first poor experience , I do not recommend their services . If you are just now buying a house walk away and consider someone else trust me.

I've been a customer for a few months and noticed the differences in prices compared to Leslie's immediately. But when I let my pool go green, I listened to the advice of Juan and Janeth. I brought a sample of my water for testing. Janeth answered my questions about the chemical imbalances of my pool. Juan explained the products to use, and the step by step instructions got me back into blue in less than 10 days! I wish I had taken pictures of the pool to see the dramatic change. I did, however, take pictures of the filter prior to the overhaul. Friendly and well-informed owners and reasonable prices for quality products. I'll keep coming back for sure. Shop here. Very poor service from the owners! Didn't show up to clean my pool for over 3 days.

Pinch a penny has been cleaning our pool for a few months now and it’s been the best, most hassle free service we’ve ever had. I’ve been a pool owner for almost two decades and have tried several pool companies. This has been the best experience by far, I don’t have to check up on them. They do what they say they’re going to do when they say they’re going to do it.
