Resurrection General Contractors renovate a space for me for 300,000.00. He has been my contractors for 8 years with no problems. My company is Houston based.

This guy Arthur is a scam artist, and addicted to gambling!!!!!He's very unprofessional and lies!!! Cusses at his employees and doesn't pay them,only throws them scraps. 🙄 But when he needs workers, boy does he change his tune and they feel sorry for him because he only has one leg.Stay away from this guy and his lies,it's unfortunate that this post needs to be posted. He can't treat hardworking people this way, they have bills as well as the next person. Bottom line pay your workers, and stop cheating clients.

When we first met Arthur, he SEEMED like a very good guy, so we thought. He came highly recommended by a close family member. BUT everything changed once he took our money. on Feb 1st 2014 we gave him $6000.00. He wanted this money for labor and materials. He told us that his contractors will NOT come out to work until they get money. For a project that would ONLY take about 3 full days (Arthur Cockfield told us that) it has taken 3 weeks and counting.
Per our contract with him he was to hire his people to do the job. But Arthur ended up doing the work himself. He took Many short cuts and the work he has done is NOTHING like what he promised.

On Feb 14th 6:00pm or so he walked off the Job site. We are now Left with trying to finish the repairs ourselves. He also Ordered our Windows but As I found out from the Window company the Visa Card that he paid with was declined 2X. The Electricians and Carpenters are asking us to pay them. The amount of work done so far does not equal to $6000.00
ARTHUR COCKFIELD IS NOT WHO HE SAYS HE IS. HE TOOK $6000.00 AND NEVER FINISHED THE JOB.

Overspent on things we didn't need without consent. Was supposed to finish in 3 weeks for $30-$40K tops. They wasted dryfall paint for the ceiling on the walls, put in a 40 gallon water tank for only 2 sinks, didn't finish the floors, walls, ceiling, cabinets, or anything and still want an extra $20K on top of the $42K we paid! Their sub contractors were always complaining about how they never got paid and Resurrection General refuses to show us their proof of payment. Claims to be building a church, told me over the phone "really its all about the money". Trying to put lien against our landlord even though they didn't finish and they refuse to show us how they came up with their numbers for work orders we didn't agree on. We told them early on that if it was going to cost over a certain amount to stop and they never shared the cost of anything with us ahead of time except the cost to put up insulation on the ceiling. They sent number to our bank that didn't match what they sent to us and cost us a $154,000 business loan. The owner drives a fancy BMW and brags about million dollar contracts and can't even get a $30K one right. Simply horrible!

This man is a scam artist!! I am homeless now because I believed he was a honorable man. I was doing bank homes in Austin brought crews on and he pushed me to the side and kept my crews. He lives from hotel to hotel.. spends his money on internet females and jewelry.. he is a drink as well, I wish I read these reviews before doing what he calls business.. The nerve of him to call his business this.. the reviews that are good are friends and family don't be fooled!!

I gave this place a five star rating because Art Cockfield exemplifies his art in the 30+ years experience that he has. He’s on time he gets the job done and he gets the job done right I heard him tell his Crew you do it right or I’ll find somebody who will! That’s how things are done. I highly recommend Resurrection general contracting 100%.!!

Resurrection General Contractors does good and timely work. We are delighted with the tile work and plumbing in our new bathroom. Their pricing is right on, and they promise to return if any problems pop up. The crew is polite and respectful.

Although we could have possibly gotten a slightly lower price with another contractor, we felt resurrection General Contractors gave us a competitive price for our new roof, but what sold us was the experience we got from a member of your team who just happened to be driving through my neighborhood almost three years ago. His name was Kevin Samuels. Although we weren’t prepared to replace our roof at that time, I never forgot how well he treated us. That moment created a future customer and three years later here we are. Excellent service
