Taylormade Heat and Air

Our pilot light was out due to a wire basically being worn down. Long story short, we called TaylorMade & they were able to set an appt that Saturday evening with Service Tech, Juan R.

Service Tech, Juan R. did a fantastic job of explaining in detail what the issue was and what he was going to do to solve the problem. By using his iPad, he was able take pictures of our heater and explain to us what he was going to do to fix it. Long story short, after Juan ran a few tests… there was an issue with a bad wire. Juan replaced the wire, thoroughly explained what he did to fix the issue, and our heat running again in no time!

The most important things to me when selecting a company to work on my old home is loyalty and integrity. John Durkin came to my home and was immediately professional while being personable. A/C work can be daunting and scary - it’s expensive and needs to be maintained. John made me feel so confident that not only did he have a lot of experience, but that he also cared about what he was doing. All too often people look at my home and just rack up a bill of non-sense, and this is what makes TaylorMade different. They value loyalty, period. You cannot build a successful business nickel and dimming people constantly. John did a very thorough job not only inspecting my units, but also taking the time to talk with me personally about my units and their condition. This helps lay the foundation of what to expect in the future and builds that foundational loyalty that I have come to expect from the vendors that serve my home.

Their team that answers the phone understood my need to schedule a time frame that was not standard. They delivered on their promise to continue to value my home and business - and to that I will be a customer indefinitely.

It’s technicians like John who make it clear that TaylorMade expects and delivers quality work and stands by their business values. And for that - I will continue to work with them and recommend them. Thank you again John!

UPDATE: 2 months later we still have not received our thermostat

there was a point in time, a decade ago or so, when taylormade heating and air was a reputable company. however that is no longer the case. we moved into our facility in September of 2019 and had brand new units installed. we continued on a maintenance plan that cost us $600/month. since we moved, we have had 40+ SERVICE calls (not including maintenance visits, which should occur quarterly). i’m not sure it’s necessary for me to continue with this review as that statement alone speaks volumes….For a building that has BRAND NEW units, to this day which are less than 5 years old, how and why would you need 40+ maintenance visits IF your tech and AC company are doing their job?????? Every visit has been some sort of money grab: new condenser is needed, new circuit board, coils need to be cleaned, new thermostat unit etc etc so on and so forth, and every time we have obliged because Talormade is suppose to be the “experts” and we just need our facility to cool and heat properly. But yet still, thermostats are set to 68 and the room won’t go below 78. The last visit in April when we made a service call, the manager stated he sees we have been trying to keep our units in good shape because we do everything that is recommended, and he wanted to help us by discounting our bill. he charged $900 for a new thermostat and another $8k+ for chemicals and labor (no other parts etc. were needed). what a help!!!!!!!!!!! Again, yesterday, another service call because THAT “fix” clearly didn’t work! and another $6k is what we were quoted!!! when we asked for a breakdown of the costs (parts/labor) it was refused. In addition to all of this, they “schedule” service, have you waiting all day and then don’t show up. when you call them about this, they say “oh it was on the schedule but we missed it/i didn’t see it” however YOU have received the confirmation/reminder emails and texts they send out so how could it have been missed? I would highly recommend staying away from Taylormade Heating and Air if you value air conditioning in the summer heat and care about how your finances are spent. **we have also requested that our quarterly maintain plan be canceled three times now and have yet to have them do so. this plan is $600/month for them to change air filters 4x a year and is suppose to provide a discount on services, which I am uncertain if we have been receiving as they do not provide itemized invoices and if we have been receiving it, I am fearful as to what "regular" price is**
