It was alright i went for vegetables and herbs but the had a small selection I also wanted some fruit trees but they did not look well still spent 80 dollars

This place has awesome deals on plants... But be cautious some plants have spreadable bugs or diseases. I've had my plants for a year with no problems, and I don't have a green thumb. At. All.

Almost all the plants I buy from here end up living very well if taken care of. The main down side is not being able to return it if you decide you bought too many! Also, sometimes they don't know very much about the plants you're inquiring about. Over all I've had good experiences.

I've been to this location a few times before and decided to make my annual spring to summer visit, to buy a pride of barbados plant here for this summer. In winter, I prefer their callistemon, (bottlebrush) alongside the Texas Sage for my ornamental landscaping in Texas. They're both able to handle drought and an overnight freeze. They have a large variety of those to offer in December. Much more than they provide us public with the pride of Barbados plants to select from. Both plants catch the eyes with the bright red flowering part of these plants. Both are hardy plants and many Texas gardeners like both for their resistance to drought as well as their ornamental beauty.

This is another good place to buy plants, there are a bunch in the area. This location is just ok, the only real complaint I have is the handful of employees that we had interaction with were very rude and NOT friendly at all. Customer service is very lacking at this location and because of that we probably won’t be back, like I said there are others in our area and will try them. If you need plants, live close and don’t mind bad customer service then, good luck.

Looking for a particular plant. Had pictures, asked both cashiers they did not know. Told me to ask manager. I did not know I had asked him first and he mumbled something and walked off. I was not able to get his name but they way he treated my daughter and I. I will not return there.

Had most of what I needed. Late in season, so expectations low. A little help would have been nice, but the folks I did find couldn't identify the plant pieces I brought with me. Great sale going on!

Great prices but the employees definitely do not want to be there. Be prepared to do the shopping on your own because no one is going to help you if you have a question.

Nice selection of plants. The pots are very expensive and the staff will not assist customers to their cars...I had to ask for something to carry the plants in just to get them to my car. The employees appeared to be some what lazy.

Do not buy Christmas Trees here. Second year in a row. We purchased a 300$ tree and immediately took home to get in water. Had in water with tree saver within 30 min after the tree was purchased and after three days the water level hasn’t changed meaning the tree was dead when we got it. Ive drilled holes in the side of the tree. Sprayed the tree with water. I also made sure I had them cut at least two inches of tree trunk. I know this sounds trivial but to pay that much for a tree and for it to most likely not last until Christmas is just not right. The tree needles are falling like crazy.
The helpers there were nice and courteous. It’s the quality of the product that’s disappointing. Not trying a third time.

They have beautiful plants and great prices but when we walked in we didn't see a single employee wearing a face mask or following CDC procedures to social distance. Very happy with my purchase but I dont think I will be returning until better health procedures are followed.

Just tried to buy some roses. They have a great selection but rang up at register $5 more that tag on the display. Should have been 19.99 and rang up $24.99. They would not honor the tag and would not get a manager. What???

I recently visited Houston Garden Center and was impressed by their prices and beautiful flower selection. However, I was disappointed when I asked for a tree expert, only to be told that none were existing. The staff told me to look around instead. If you’re knowledgeable about plants, this place could be a good fit, but beginners may want to seek advice elsewhere.

Prices are great. 1/2 off most other store prices. The problem is you get half the customer service to go with it. They will point in general direction of where something is that you have asked for instead of going with you to point it out. They young girl had no idea about the grapes my husband was asking about and lastly hardly anything is labeled so that you know what it is. When checking out as a tax -exempt purchaser, the girl asked me of I had any idea of how to fill the form out. I am from another town 3 hrs away and we dont know anything about how to fill the forms out. Seems like they are lacking in training and customer service skills.

The employees here are worthless. No one wants to help. They sell huge trees but if you buy one, they won't even help you tie it down. If you just want to buy bedding flowers, this place is ok. As far as a nursery goes, they aren't even close.

First time here probably won’t go back. Nice selection but customer service is terrible and prices don’t match product. When we spoke to the managers said half the staff can’t speak or read English so they don’t label them correctly. Didn’t honor the price shown.

People can’t even ask questions about what’s in stock, it’s like they are forcing you to come in.These people are nothing but greedy @sses. WILL NOT Visit any of their stores!

I bought a sod from this location and was not a happy at all. The manager of the store was non cooperative, and very un friendly.
He was charging me full price, and sailing all the broken and damage pieces of sod. He was not willing to open the new pallet, even though there was only couple of pieces left in the last pallet and were all badly damaged. . He kept on telling me, if you do not want these broken pieces go get your money back.
I will never shop again at this location of Houston Garden Center.

Best plants, but worst customer service ever. Lady named, Karma that works there is very rude. Not once but twice now that I’ve been she has been no help, and been extremely rude. I am a frequent buyer, and do still plan to buy because the plants are cheap and beautiful. But don’t expect any sort of niceness or customer service from this place.

We bought 30 roses, a mix of double knockout and number of those with other colors, and planted them all 23rd February, 2018 under proper conditions and care.
Unfortunately 10 of these did not survive, and when returning to store to ask for assistance and possibly incentive to purchase replacement of the 33% lack of survival rate, the manager only gave me a blank stare, stating it wasn’t his problem.
What a shame! Never ever will spend another dime at any of their locations after this shameful display of customer service!

I went because the commercial says lots of color varieties and low prices. Neither were found! Over paid for a money tree my children wanted which was half the price at Lowe’s! Went to Lowe’s and found more variety of color plants and lower prices!
