I spent years thinking about our basement. By the time I finally requested estimates, my plan had become fairly "creative" and grandiose. I wanted a bathroom where the storage closet was, a soundproof office, custom range hood, and much, much more! I expected Ryan to tell me my ideas were too ambitious or not feasible, but that was not the case! Every idea was executed and I am so happy with the final product!

James was the project manager assigned to our basement. He has great communication skills and went above and beyond to address all the little things that would have driven me nuts for years. I really appreciate James' attention to detail. He fixed so many things that other contractors would have rolled their eyes at (e.g. broken window screens, etc.). James never made me feel like I was annoying or nit-picky. He validated my concerns and then made it right! I am so glad we went with RWK!

We moved 3 years ago to Alpine from California. We have lived in 6 different homes in our lifetime but this was our first remodel. I had always wanted to remodel our former homes but never had the money. We have had bad experiences over the years with contractors and landscapers, even here in Utah so we were nervous about who to chose. All I can say is we made the right choice!
From James doing the estimating and Ryan doing the financials and writing up the contract, everything was easy and nothing was hidden.
The star I have to say though, was my project manager Jeff! He set a schedule and kept to it, something I have not seen here in Utah or in other states yet. He texted me every morning to let me know what was happening and who to expect.

We removed an entire kitchen wall and moved all the appliances to new locations. Jeff did his best to keep the dust to a minimum with plastic sheets, which I really think helped my allergies and asthma. Jeff often steps in to help the subs since he is like MacGyver and can do it all!
All the subs showed up as scheduled and did amazing work. I am super happy with the quality of the workmanship on everything!
My new kitchen is beautiful and I am just waiting for RC Wiley to install my cooktop to be finished.
We replaced the entire flooring and the new fireplace is gorgeous. I spent most of my time in the basement and Jeff covered for me while I was out of town a few days. I never worried while he was there, I felt things were in good hands.
I enjoyed the entire experience so much I am scheduled to remodel a master bath, guest bath and possibly add a patio room next summer. Feel free to reach out if you would like to hear from me personally about my experience.

RWK was great! They finished our ~750 square foot basement in about 12 weeks total. Steve was great to work with and helped with all of our questions and concerns. Very pleased with the quality of work.

We have used RWK on every remodel/finishing project we’ve done (2 basements, a kitchen and now our master bathroom). I have realized after building my house and now the basement, that every project will have bumps in the road, the most important thing for me is to be working with an honest team to work through those bumps with. RWK spent a lot of time with us during the bidding stage to make sure our basement was just the way we wanted it. Their bid came in cheaper than other bids we got and they were able to finish before other companies were able to start. Claudio was great to work with and always kept us up to date on everything. Best of all the project came in under budget. Everyone who have seen our basement is impressed. I’d recommend them to anyone who wants a contractor who is detail oriented and strives for perfection.

I sought out several estimates before I started my basement remodel. RWK wasn't the cheapest, nor were they the most expensive. I chose them because they had recently worked on my son's basement remodel, and I was impressed with their work and professionalism on his job. I have a 72 year old home and my basement looked like it may have originally been "remodeled" in the late 50's. With something that old, I expected that we would run into a few surprises, but luckily that turned out not to be the case. I did have a very old and possibly unsafe electrical system that I chose to have upgraded, and this wasn't included in the original bid. If it weren't for that, I would have actually come in slightly less than what was originally budgeted, which was a pleasant surprise. I had Vince as my project manager, and he did a great job of coordinating all the subs and also managing my anxiety throughout the process. The job was finished 4 weeks past the original completion estimate, but that wasn't a surprise to me. We had delays due to weather, vacations (mine), holidays, and general life events. I don't think much could be done to change that. I recommend you check out RWK if you are considering a basement remodel. (I just realized that the attached photos were taken prior to the final "punch list" completion. Please ignore the blue tape and uncovered vent.)

Highly recommend RWK. I’ve dealt with some real construction nightmares so honestly I didn’t expect much, but their overall communication and workmanship really set a high bar. Jeff was my PM and is fantastic. He is a great liaison between the customer and the workers to ensure things are getting done correctly. All the workers who showed up were respectful and did what they said they would, when they said they’d do it. They even allowed my little guy to “help” with some projects, which he absolutely loved and made him feel like a real construction worker haha. They are great at providing an overall schedule so you have more of an idea of what to expect, and where you’re at in the project. In my opinion, they’re as close to a white glove service as you can get for home construction.

Everyone has heard the horror stories of finishing a basement or having large projects done through contractors. I can honestly say, that was not the case with RWK Construction. It was actually the complete opposite. When Ryan met with us to put together a bid he was very accommodating and offered up some very helpful ideas we could implement in to our plans - which worked out perfectly. James, our Project Manager, was extremely communicative and ran a tight ship. If he gave us a timeline, they met that timeline. They came in exactly where they said they would not only on time - but also on budget! There were no surprises whatsoever. I have already given their information out to some I know who are looking to have work done and plan to continue to do so. My wife actually wants them back now to redo the upstairs of our home. Five star work here.

We loved working with RWK for our basement finishing project. Their quality of work is excellent and we are so happy with our new basement! Home renovations can be a chaotic process, so we really appreciated being able to work with a project manager to handle the juggling and timing of all of the projects and communication with subcontractors. Claudio was our project manager and he was on top of things, an excellent communicator, and great to work with. When things inevitably came up, Claudio was always upfront about options and price so that we would feel in control.

Our new bathroom looks amazing and we are jealous of our guests who would use it more than us, and we are super excited to start decorating our movie room. We also redid our stair railings and replaced the carpet of the stairs that leads down to the basement and it made SUCH a huge difference in updating the space. Highly recommend working with them!

I chose RWK to finish my basement and build a mudroom bench. My experience with RWK from start to finish was excellent. The price I was quoted and the ending price was nearly identical, big props to Ryan for avoiding any overages.

I was assigned Aaron as my project manager and he was outstanding. Aaron texted me every morning to let me know what the plan was for each day and was very quick to respond to my countless questions. He was very hands on with each of the contractors and I never felt that I was isolated on an island. I had a few nitpicks along the way but he was always willing to accommodate until I was happy with the finished product. Having confidence that no matter what issues arise they're going to get taken care of in the end by RWK is priceless.

I learned quite a bit along the way. If I was to finish another basement I might try being my own general contractor to save a little money but if you're looking for a low-stress, high quality product, then I can't imagine there's a better choice than RWK.

When I started seeing all the 5 star reviews I was a little skeptical, naturally. However, the first time I met Ryan, I knew immediately he stood out as a professional contractor compared to others we had met with. He was very professional and prompt. After receiving multiple quotes, we ultimately went with RWK. As soon as we signed the agreement, items started flowing in, our lumber was delivered 2 days ahead of schedule and we maintained the schedule throughout. The app they use to track who’s coming and going and change orders was awesome. Let me tell you, we were assigned a Project Manager upfront, Riley, he was simply put, AWESOME! Of course we had a few hiccups along the way, that’s construction! But, Riley was there every step of the way to help us navigate through these things. We had a text thread for my wife and myself that was a great easy way to communicate. Due to my schedule, I travel almost weekly for business, so Riley was great to accommodate me and my time zone challenges. We would get on FaceTime and walk through any concerns or issues that needed addressed with subs or in general. If Riley wasn’t going to be available on certain days, he would send us the number of his fill in for the day if anything were to arise, Ryan was also available anytime. RWK’s subs were also easy to work with along the way. I never felt there was a concern if they were in my home while we weren’t there. All-in-all, I would highly recommend RWK, and already have to many others. For an idea of scope of our project, we did a full basement with HVAC, kitchenette, multiple bathrooms, laundry, multiple bedrooms, gym space, under stairs area, large recreation area and a hidden AV room where all wiring and gaming systems are stored in about 3 months and right on budget! This was no small task, but it looks amazing and we are beyond pleased with the results. Thanks again, Riley, Ryan and the entire team in the office making sure this project went so well.

Our project manager Jeff was world class in his daily communication helping us to close this one out. He is the reason we will be using RWK for future projects- after we enjoy our new space a bit:)

There was nothing too small to ask him and he was thorough in execution on timelines and commitments. Never did we get excuses of suppliers or subcontractors not performing even through the holidays. We got our keys on 11/1 and pre coordinated and they had lumber delivered the next day with workers downstairs the same week. THAT was a good indicator to start and everything continued on schedule and on budget.

We had a great experience working with RWK. Jeff, our contractor, took care of everything and always adjusted well whenever roadblocks cropped up. The original timeframe to complete our home remodel was 2 months. They finished in 2 months and 2 weeks. Pretty good in by my estimation. They also came in 10% below the original quote.
