Thompson's Comfort Connection

JD was great. Gave me practical honest advice on my AC unit but wasn’t pushy about anything. I went with his advice and immediately the problem was fixed with my AC unit. Very happy with him and will be going here again.

I've reviewed Thompson's Comfort Connection (TCC) multiple times here over the 15+ years I've been on Yelp, and have always given them top ratings every time. And after a four-year period where everything has been running great, I had to have TCC come out again to check on my 17-year-old Amana high-efficiency furnace and the blower that brings in fresh air to the burners and exhausts combustion gases to an outside port along our front wall. That fan was running but cycling on and off, and we could smell some gas there at the exhaust exit panel outside.
One quick email on Sunday, the 7th, and Austin from TCC arrived Monday morning to check out our issue. After disassembling our "inducer" motor/blower (a small fan in a gas furnace that creates a draft, pulling in fresh air for combustion and exhausting dangerous exhaust gases out through the flue) housing, Austin found the problem. After 17 years of use, the blower housing drain port was clogged (spider nest? dirt? both?) Austin cleaned it all out and flushed all the rubber drain tubes as well (which were also pretty gnarly), and that fixed it! All back together and running great...and the inducer blower now stays on and runs great. We're back in business on a solid 17-year-old Amana H.E. furnace!

P.S.: My neighbor across the street called me the next day and said that "...her furnace has just stopped working. Who would I recommend?" I didn't hesitate to recommend TCC...and they were there later that day. Their technician replaced their main furnace blower motor at a fair price. Two happy customers in three days.

16 JANUARY 2026 UPDATE: After Austin's visit a week ago the odd problem of the furnace not restarting in the morning reappeared...and Cole came out on Monday the 12th to see if he could determine what the problem was. After a good hour or so of diagnostics and observation, everything with my 17-year-old Amana HE furnace checked out fine...and since he was here, the furnace has been operating perfectly! And Cole performed this service as "warranty coverage", therefore no charge to me. TCC's technicians are top tier, and they bring all the right tools with them to make the right checks to ensure everything is operating perfectly...and in a safe manner. Will always return back to TCC for their services!

So my HVAC system went down and we were not getting any cold air. I had a few people come out and look at it and they wanted to sell me on a new unit at a high price.
Brad showed up from Thompson and Sons and then a couple of minutes. He determined that the fan blower motor was frozen. He called and got pricing picked up corrected parts for a replacement.
Quickly replaced the parts and did an assessment on the rest of the equipment and cleaned both units and had them up and running quickly. I found Brad not only courteous and nice but also Knowledgeable and courteous. I gave him a high recommendation.
