Landscaping reviews in Murray, Utah

Our community used Lawn Butler for snow removal and landscaping maintenance this past year. Overall, it was a fairly frustrating experience. The highlights:

1. In a light snow year, our snow removal costs doubled under Lawn Butler.
2. In one large December storm, we were charged for 17.5 tons (!) of salt for our 2 lane, 1 mile of roads.
3. Due to these high snow removal costs, our HOA board had to take money out of our reserve fund and increase our dues $11/mo for the next 3 years to pay it off.
4. Our landscaping services were delayed at the start of the season, because we were trying to figure out paying off the snow removal. But even one month after our invoices were paid, my lawn was still completely yellow (pictures attached).
5. Many of our lawns were very obviously not getting the necessary water, but Lawn Butler still was out edging and mowing the dead lawns regularly, instead of trying to figure out why the lawns looked so bad.
6. After many complaints from the community, the watering finally came back on regularly in mid- to late July, but they went to the other extreme of watering 6x/week, which was against the current city advice at the time and created other lawn problems.
7. Beyond having to make-up the cost of the exorbitant snow removal charges, we will also now need to figure out how to pay to fix some of the landscaping that is now permanently damaged.

This company mows the lawn of the junior high by my home where I go walking. I have now witnessed them mowing right over trash multiple times instead of picking it up. Even big aluminum cans. Kids go to that school and could easily get cut by this if wearing open toed shoes. Can’t you guys at least pick up the bigger items instead of shredding them up?

I have worked with a lot of Landscapers over the years, and Lawn Butler has been the best by far. Professional, and they really care about the work they do. Will always use them!

Surly attitude, poor work, and lack of plant knowledge. Avoid at all costs.

Utah landscape came out right when they said they would and were helpful and easy to work with.

This company has been in business for over 25 years and prides themselves in quality, product brand, and craftsmanship. I can attest they live up to what they say.

They were very professional. Bill was very helpful, and had great ideas for my project.

We love our fountain and highly recommend Utah Landscape. They are great to work with and the fountain is the show piece our yard.

These guys went the extra mile every step of the way. They came through for me when I needed it most. Price was right and the workmanship was great. Whoever the previous reviewer is, they really should be more responsible spreading such negativity. They weren't even talking about the right company! Anyway, I appreciated how hard the crew worked on my behalf.

A little hard to get a hold of and hard to get coordinated with to get your initial visit and bid. But once the job was scheduled it went very well and the workmanship is top notch so the initial challenges are worth it. I would definitely use them again and am comfortable recommending them as long as you have patients.

Utah Landscape Construction Company did a fantastic job laying new sod in our backyard and adjusting our sprinklers. We also had them fix our vinyl fences in several areas. The team was quick, easy to contact, very professional and came in on budget and on time. We would highly recommend them.

Excellent company to work with; very pleased with the new front yard, all new landscape, new sod, metal edge, chocolate (brown) bark next to mature rose bushes. Very professional look for the house. Bill Hansen, company owner, took a personal interest in our (small) yard project. Jacob and crew were very diligent, hard working, Jacob answered all questions and concerns. VJ was very helpful as the company contact person, to get the bid proposal. Project was completed in one day. Highly recommend this company! 4.10.20

Bill and Jake did a great job showing up and keeping yard clean. Did an amazing job at a fair price and did everything AND MORE to make sure We were satisfied. Will be calling them again for our next project. Highly recommend!

Bill and his team are my heroes. Our backyard turned out so beautiful and Bill was so easy to work with. They were on time with their estimates and did an excellent job. They even were willing to come back after the job was finished to clean up a poor job a separate fencing company did afterwards. Our HOA was also being a total pain about our fencing rules and he went to the city and got the permit approved for us so that we could get our HOA off our backs. These guys are great!

Bill and Jake are amazing to work with! We have used them for landscaping at 2 houses, 7 years apart. Bill worked hard to get everything for us, including fencing in the specific color for our HOA, due to the shortages from Covid-19. Both of our houses had small difficult to get into backyards. The yards, both, turned out incredible. The space is beautiful, calming, and peaceful. Our dogs would rather be in the yard than in the house. I would recommend them to everyone, and I do!

We have been working with Utah Landscape Construction Company for years. They were the landscape firm for many of my Husband’s commercial projects. They have also been the design and build firm for our naturalized landscaping at our Holladay home. They have provided stonework, brick work, railing, fencing, irrigation, water feature, plantings and more. We are very pleased with Bill and Jake’s assistance in creating our tranquil retreat. The photos will show you how capable and dedicated they are to their profession.

I had leaked valve in my home and Victor did a great job fixing my irrigation system. Victor and Gavan were very professional. They worked very fast and their prices were very fair. I totally recommend their work.

Had Zack out yesterday to replace my stop/waste. No issues, seems to be working. Zack was great, and had everything done within a few hours. I would totally recommend Brocks Irrigation, and would hire them again in the future.

Excellent, professional, and knowledgeable irrigation work, at a fair price. Gavin fixed my sprinkler system that a previous person messed up. He replaced lines, heads, and he also rewired and relocated my control box. He and Victor trenched under the lawn and under a walkway. Everything worked perfect. They cleaned up so well, you would never know that they dug anything up. I can count on Brock's to be there when needed. Definitely will use again.
