The fan now works perfectly and is incredibly quiet. He also repaired the wall fixture on the same day, replacing the socket and switch. Now, the light works flawlessly. amazing company! preston was a very honest guy who really showed he cared about the customer. he arrived on time to give me an estimate and carefully checked out the electrical issue. after he looked at everything, i thought he had left, but he was actually in his truck getting prices for me because our problem was urgent and he wanted to help right away. we had water getting into our electrical panel from the outside hookup. the electrical panel had to be moved and a new wire run over the garage rafters instead of going under the slab into the basement. i've had some bad experiences before with other electricians in salt lake city, so i was careful this time. i could tell by preston's attitude and knowledge that he was sincere, but i still got a couple more estimates just to be sure. i was right about him. he was honest about saving me money and actually did. one company said the job would cost $5,000 on the phone, but when i mentioned other estimates, they dropped it to $3,000—pretty shady! another company wanted $2,700. preston's estimate was $1,700, which really helped me out. we did have some extra costs because the city inspector asked for a few more things, but preston was very fair and tried to keep the price as low as possible. in the end, the job cost $2,000, saving me around $700 and earning my trust. he was also upfront about what he couldn't do, letting me know that someone else would need to fix the water problem. because he told me the truth, i got the right help and now there's no more water coming into the basement through the old electrical tubing. i'm glad my google search led me to joshua & sons electricians company. if i need an electrician again, this is the first place i'm calling.
