I can't say enough good things about Cummings Electric. From the ease of scheduling and clear communication to the quality and care of the work, it was a pleasure to work with them. Will was prompt, transparent, diligent, and, impressively unbothered by our house's wonky, unlabelled circuit box and copious cellulose insulation. He took great care - using shoe covers, sweeping, and even mopping after each day's work. I'll definitely call them again for future electrical work.

I wanted to pass along an updated customer experience with Cummings Electric. I wrote the following review for Cummings Electric about 6 months ago; "...Nothing counts more to me than honesty and integrity, and Cummings Electric ownership came through with a price quote for a project on a building unit I owned which housed my business...I know where to go moving forward on all electrical projects." Well I needed to have a meter box reinstalled on my house, since it was attached to a rotting board which was replaced in a siding project on my house. I spoke with owner Brian Hwang, who told me Will would be at my house the following Tuesday at 7:15 AM. It was 14 degrees that day, and Will was there promptly, worked through the cold, juggled equipment and handled screws in order to have the box reinstalled nicely on my newly sided house.

Quick turnaround on a Level2 charger install. Will (electrician who did the work) was great. Thorough, including installation and cleanup. And Cummings have been super-responsive after install as well with a couple questions I had. 100% recommend!

Matt S. was the best! Showed up promptly on time. Clearly explained the installation and got right to work. I love my new EV charger and would highly recommend Matt - he got the job done and was very respectful of my space. If I every need any other electrical done, Cummings Electric will be my first call.
-
I want to shout from the rooftops of how awesome this company is to deal with! The professionalism was unmatched. The resolution was super quick! Furthermore, they make it incredibly easy to do business with them. Digital payment options and very communicative throughout the process. Wouldnt recommend anyone else to install or service your Generac Generator. These guys are the real deal!!

We had a great experience with Cummings Electric! Their team is highly skilled and efficient - they also engaged well with local high school students during a recent job shadowing opportunity. Cummings is a company that values both quality service and community involvement.
-
Only good things to say about Cummings Electric! They are responsive, thoughtful, and reliable. Their work is high quality, and they were flexible as the project developed and changed on my end. Everyone I met from the team is kind, professional, and knowledgeable. Thank you to Glenn and Jack, Vern, Will and Laura. Highly recommend!

If you are looking for a licensed electrician in Burlington, VT, I highly recommend Cummings Electric. As a local property owner, I have trusted Brian and Nick with everything from complex commercial electrical projects to routine electrical maintenance services. They are also my go-to for fire alarm inspections, which can be difficult to find a reliable team for. Their quality workmanship is both thorough and efficient, and their customer service is the best I've encountered in Chittenden County. Truly the top electrical contractor in the area for any business or residential needs!

Frequently asked questions
-
Is GigoPro free to use?
Yes. Browsing businesses, reading reviews, and comparing electricians is free for everyone. Business owners can create a basic listing at no cost.
-
How do you verify businesses on GigoPro?
Every profile goes through moderation before it appears in search. We check that the business is real, actively operating, and actually performs the work it claims. For regulated trades like electrical work, we look for proper licensing, and we automatically hide inactive listings.
-
How do I choose the right electrician?
Start with ratings and recent reviews, then confirm the company is licensed and insured for your specific type of work. Contact two or three providers, ask for written estimates, and compare what each quote includes, not just the bottom line.
-
Can I list my business on GigoPro?
Yes. Create a free business profile to reach local customers searching for your category. You can update services, photos, and contact details anytime, and customers can book you directly from your profile.
-
How often is the directory updated?
Business owners update their own profiles. Our team also refreshes hub pages and removes inactive listings to keep search results current. For example, this page is reviewed and updated monthly.
-
Do I need a permit for electrical work?
Most significant electrical work — new circuits, panel upgrades, rewiring, and solar installations — requires a permit and inspection in most jurisdictions. A licensed electrician handles the permit process and schedules the inspection. Ask about permits before you book.
-
How do I know if my panel needs an upgrade?
Common signs include breakers that trip often, adding major loads (EV charger, solar, heat pump, new kitchen), or still having a fuse box or a 100-amp panel. A licensed electrician can assess your panel and load capacity in a visit.
-
Are electricians on GigoPro licensed and insured?
Electrical work is regulated in every state. Ask each electrician for their license number and proof of insurance before work begins. Professional companies expect these questions and answer them without hesitation.
-
How much does electrical service cost?
Costs vary by job type, region, and complexity — there is no honest single number. Reputable electricians give written estimates after assessing the job, and comparing two or three of them is the best way to understand what your work should cost.
-
Can I leave a review after booking through GigoPro?
Yes. After your job is done, you can rate the electrician and describe your experience. Verified reviews from recent jobs help the next homeowners in your city choose well — and keep listed professionals at their best.
