On 11/25/24 I was told they had sent the front office a request to refund my pmt of $150. As of today I still haven’t received it. I have called 3x now and every time I speak with gentleman who answers he acts as if I’m interrupting his day.
I will now need to file a complain with the BBB and then my bank.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Customer gouging at its finest! Had a broken range and they came out 5 times to "fix it". They installed the part they initially said was broken, they later "discovered" a much more expensive part was needed and when I did not want to proceed with the repair they still charged for the initial part "because they cannot remove a part that has already been installed" even though the part was never used because the oven did not work and there was no evidence that the part they installed was the problem in the first place. If I could give 0 stars I would. All I did was pay for inconvenience.

This is the first time I've given a company anything but a good review. Worst service ever. They don't do what they say they will do and left me having to chase them down. Not returning phone calls even after I begged them to call me as it was an emergency. I finally had to find a different company to solve my problem after I gave up.

DO NOT under any circumstances give your business to VIRGINIA ELECTRONICS. My husband and I recently hired them to repair our refrigerator. They misdiagnosed the problem for a grand total of over $600 in parts and labor. After determining the actual problem (three weeks later), they wanted an additional $400 to fix the actual problem. Unwilling to risk another $400 on a company that had already taken $600 of my dollars, I called seeking some type of labor refund for my time and wasted money and was hung up on. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!!!! If I could give ZERO STARS, I would!!!!

Technician came to the house diagnosed the problem. Which we already knew that it was the compressor . Quoted us a price at 400. We had to contact them 2 weeks later just to find out the price was quoted incorrect and it's a extra $100 on top of $400 and we have to contact somebody else. To get the part that they said they would be able to get. Bad experience overall and customer service very poor

Very disappointed with this company. First sign of problems was when the service man came out he said he would not be able to do the repair that day he had to order the part . The part was a fan that is a part that frequently fails on this model refrigerator . Took a week to get the part. Four weeks after the repair the refrigerator was freezing up again. I called another company , they came out 3 days later . The service man asked what the other man had done , I told him replaced the fan. He lets see what he did . First thing he showed me was the plastic cover was cracked, next was the fan was installed up side down . The fan has tabs that slide into slots , it was clearly installed wrong. Also there is an up dated fan and a software from the manufacturer. He had both on his truck. Very happy with the new company.

Do not use this company, the lie and don't know how to fix anything. They will just give you the run around. They lied to my warranty company and told them they fixed my dishwasher even though I told the service repair man it was still not fixed before they left my house. They did next to zero diagnostics to find the problem and just ordered part and replaced hoping it would fix the issue.

When i called to confront them they stated that they will need to have some one else come out and fix it which they never reported to my warranty company till after i called them.

Do not waste your time or money dealing with this company. If you warranty company calls them tell them you want someone else.

Please do not use this company ,they took $200.00 for parts deposit for my refrigerator, came back installed part and told me part was bad . They had to reorder and return, when I called them due to fact they didn’t contact me I was told that an additional $300.00 was need to make repairs. I informed them that I wouldn’t be fixing the unit and would like a refund due to fact that nothing was repaired.I was told they would send me a check . The check never came and I have called several times. All I get is lip service and no check . As far as I am concerned they stole my money . Please find a different repair shop there are plenty of reputable places to go

Virginia Electronics serviced my dishwasher through my warranty company. On the first visit they stated my dishwasher needed a new heating element. They replaced it on the next visit. Ran the dishwasher as we were told it was corrected. Left the house for a few days. Came back home, opened the dishwasher and the odor was unbelievable. I thought maybe I did not run it. NO! I ran it but the heating element did not heat up. The moisture left after cycle finished caused black mold to grow. I had to throw away cutting boards, utensils, and bowls. It was so gross. They came out again. They couldn't figure it out. Told me to switch detergent, run my hot water for 15 minutes before running it. I asked who was going to clean or replace parts with the mold. This was not the warranty company's problem it was the service providers problem for not checking to see if heating element heated up. Finally I suggested a control panel. That fixed the problem but not the mold. So I have a working dishwasher thatbI can't use. Virginia Electronics wants me to pay to exchange parts with mold. I have tried to clean but with little success. Also, who wants to clean dishes in a machine with mold. Not healthy for my family. I strongly do not recommend using them for your next appliance repairs.

Virginia Electronic I am very disappointed with the service. I paid 99.00 in advance for the service call for my Maytag Centennial washer. The problem with the machine was unbalanced during the spin cycle. During the service technician call that lasted less than five minutes, he confirmed the imbalance. He recommended replacing the washer machine because it was not worth the cost to repair ( estimated repair cost $600.00). He recommended a new $1200.00 Queen washer from Virginia Electronic.
Upon further review, I ordered a Maytag suspension rod kit for $75.00, correcting the washer during the spin cycle. I called management to request a refund because the technician's recommendation was inaccurate and misleading. It was more like a sales call than a service call. Per management, we will not refund the $99.00, and your fix is temporary 90 days at best.
Virginia Electrionic can keep the $99.00, but this review will last forever, and the prospective customer will have this review before requesting a service call. Do you want to spend the $99.00 and think you are getting a technician to provide a proper diagnosis, or a sales person offering you a $1200.00 Queen washer?
I hope this review helps with your decision, good look.

I wish there was a zero star choice, that's exactly what this business deserves. I was using this company by recommendation of Lowe's warranty department. I couldn't get past the incompetent receptionist. I clearly told her when I available & she booked a tech for the time I WOULD NOT be home. I quickly decided against using this unprofessional business. No thanks & good riddance. I would 100% NOT recommend using Virginia Electronics Inc. Poor excuse for a business.

My Hisense refrigerator needed servicing, so it sent Virginia Electronics. The so-called repairperson spent about 15 minutes doing zero repairs and telling me that it was my fault that the freezer was acting up, claiming that I had overfilled it, which I hadn't, and that it also wasn't freezing because I had put items against the back wall of the freezer, which was preventing proper air flow! But the freezer part of the refrigerator hasn't been freezing food since I bought it last year, which the so-called repairperson completely ignored. After trying to convince me it was a self-created problem, he picked up his work bag and left, having done nothing. Hisense told me that he even put in his report to them that it was my fault! And my freezer still isn't working right. The only good thing I can say about this company is at least I wasn't charged for its employee's lazy incompetence.

Tech denied my repair due to lack of maintenance without asking about what maintenance performed. Tim was already calling next client before leaving my house. And didn’t have the courtesy to tell me that I was going to be denied so I could go ahead and get parts myself to fix my dryer. Extremely disappointed at the lack of human decency and the value of quantity vs quality service.

This company is one of the worst companies I have ever worked with. They have been out to my home several times to repair a broken appliance, taken our money, and still the appliance has not been fixed. They have also promised to show up to multiple appointments, but then never arrived; after I have taken off work at the promised appointment time. Please do yourself a favor and reach out to a reputable business in the Richmond area and do not contact this business. *Note: I would have given this business zero stars, but google requires at least one star to submit a review.*

Virginia electronics was scheduled by frigidaire to come out for a warranty repair on my refrigerator. The repair tech Tim did not format the report correctly to frigidaire. He has completely ignored all requests from me and frigidaire to fix the report so that my replacement can proceed. It has been 7 weeks and I am forced to have another repair tech come solely to write a report.

An absolutely terrible experience with this company. They were sent out by our warranty company to fix our Electrolux all fridge. They spent 5 minutes assessing that we needed 2 new parts. They ordered parts which took 2 weeks to come in. They cancelled appt at the last minute saying they weren’t coming because we had to move the fridge (this is a large unit) because it was too heavy for them. We rescheduled and moved the fridge out the night before. They cancelled last minute on a Friday and rescheduled for Monday, so we had to walk around the gigantic fridge all weekend. They show up on Monday with a different tech who does not have the parts! First tech shows up later that day and replaces the parts and says to give the fridge a while to come back to temp. The next morning the fridge is still not working. I call them back to say they didn’t fix it and they told me sorry they already got paid from warranty company and they cant come back out because they are on vacation for the next 2 weeks. The receptionist was rude and incompetent each and every time I spoke to her, 1 star is too generous!

Selected by my warranty company. I was told if I missed a call from the technician there would be a $75 charge to reschedule. No call, no missed calls that entire day and was told they would not waive the charge. Call was not blocked since he had no issue calling me when he first came out to diagnose. Very dissatisfied.

If you want to be ripped off and still have a broken appliance, this is the company to call. Tim assured me it was worth the fix and he knew what the problem was. Kyle assured me its never that part and it probably wouldn’t fix the problem which it didn’t. Incorrect diagnostics, 3 months later, out money, and still a broken appliance. I hope Frank gets the message from Kevin.

I’m glad you’re checking the reviews. I wish we did before hiring this company. First, I need to disclose that this occurred over 2 years ago, but I’ve neglected to put in a review. I usually only do a review if I’ve had a good experience. But, clearly, this incident still bothers me.

Our refrigerator broke down in late 2022. We contacted Virginia Electronics to have it repaired. Tim came out and told us that it would need extensive/costly repairs. However, this refrigerator was recalled and part of a class action lawsuit and suggested that we look into it to see if we can get it repaired/replaced at no cost. Long story short, we were too late to benefit from the class action, so we contacted Virginia Electronics to do the repair in February 2023.

After they were done, I noticed a spot on the floor that looked like a burn in the linoleum. I mentioned this to Tim. He flat out denied it, stating it was rust and tried cleaning it off the floor. After scrubbing holes into the floor (because the floor was indeed burned), Tim doubled down insisting it was rust. At that point I was done talking to him and contacted the company directly.

I spoke to a very nice, empathetic young lady on the phone that suggested I send an email about what happened with photos. I did, but was there was never a response. I followed up by phone a number of times, but was never contacted by an owner/manager to make this right.

To add insult to injury, after paying more than $800 in total for the repair, the refrigerator still did not work. We ended up just replacing it. I know this was 2 years ago and it’s possible they’ve made changes, but they have yet to make things right for me.

DO NOT HIRE THEM - WORST COMPANY EVER! We hired this company to fix a broken washing machine. Firstly, they did not tell us that if they call you on the way to the job and you don't pick up, they automatically reschedule the job and don't show up (usually at other companies the call to tell us they're on the way is a courtesy). So we had to reschedule them. The second time, they called the morning they were supposed to come and said it was a two-man job and one of the repair men had called out sick. No big deal, that's not their fault, and we rescheduled. THE THIRD TIME they called morning-of and said THEY HAD MISPLACED THE PART FOR OUR WASHER THEY NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE JOB. Extremely unprofessional - and they didn't even have a time slot to reschedule to within the next two weeks, so at this point it had been almost a month since initially calling them to come repair our washer. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled them AGAIN (which was a mistake). On the morning of the 4th reschedule, they told us they had an arrival window of 8am-1pm. They called us around 12:30 (and we made sure to answer the phone this time) and they said they were on the way and they were 25 mins away. They had not shown up by 1:30 so I called the number of the technician and they didn't answer. I called the number for the main office and the receptionist essentially was like "you should call the technician". When I told her that I had called him and he hadn't answered, she put me on hold and called him herself. She came back on the phone after having me on hold and told me that one of the two technicians ("two man job") had his truck break down and they would have to RESCHEDULE AGAIN. I told her that was completely unacceptable and asked why they couldn't both ride to us in the same truck. She said that wasn't possible but wouldn't elaborate. I told her that this was extremely unprofessional and asking us to reschedule for a 5th time was completely unacceptable. I told her to cancel the job and we'd find another company.

Worst customer service experience I've ever had.
I bought a refrigerator in December, only to find out later it didn’t work. I contacted the warranty service, and they sent out a technician from Virginia Electronics. At first, they said the issue was covered under warranty — the tech even cut our fridge’s water line and said they’d be back once the part arrived.

Then out of nowhere, I get a call saying it's not covered and that I’d need to pay $400 to fix it — for a fridge that cost $800 total. I pushed back and got on a three-way call with Virginia Electronics and the manufacturer, who confirmed that yes, the repair is covered under warranty.

And what did Virginia Electronics do? They told us to find another company and hung up the call.

This company is an absolute joke. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. If you need appliance repairs, go elsewhere — save yourself the time, money, and headache.
