The team was prompt and worked hard to make the new gas fitting. They had to remove existing pipe and it took some time to get it right. They cared and made sure everything was correct and fit well.

Came to the house… Give me a basis price of about three times the fair amount. I asked them to talk to the boss and see if they can make me a price for the flash hot water heater and they left.

Woke up at 4:15 AM to a horrible noise coming from my water heater. One phone call and they were on top of it! Brad and Christian came to the rescue and replaced a pressure valve and installed a pressure tank. Quick and easy!

The good: Everyone I dealt with at Vern’s was nice, prompt and respectful. Vern’s sent a qualified, kind plumber to my home.

What NOT to expect: Vern’s quotes, contain no itemized cost breakdowns. No labor or specific parts costs. Just a single, vague, line item that reads: “Specialized Plumbing repair includes special order parts, equipment, or additional labor to complete.” Then a bulk price.

What TO expect: unexplained “Potential discount” listed on your quote.
** the “potential discount” is code for…Warranty bait. They are trying to sell you a warranty agreement. Ironically, this tidbit is omitted from their quote.

Read the language in your quote with a fine tooth comb. Example: Vern’s offer a 1 year limited warranty against defects, if you buy, let’s say a sink disposal from them… In most cases, an appliance like that comes with the same, if not, longer coverage from the manufacturer. INSINKERSTOR models do. Also be aware: Vern’s provides NO warranty on installation of something you purchased and had them install.

If you want to pay padded fee’s and get baited into warranty plans, that contain misleading perks such as $0 dispatch fee’s, go for it! (Vern’s provides free in-person quotes for non emergency work, without a warranty, fyi)!

Pricing… I Paid as much for installation of a high end disposal as I did for the unit. On the low low end their labor rates appear to be over $150 an hour

I was looking for a reasonable, local, mom and pop plumber. A business with Transparent pricing, and no questionable “discounts”. I didn’t find that here.

Nathan showed up on time. He quickly assessed the problem and made the necessary repairs. He was friendly and left the work space clean. Very happy with Vern’s Plumbing. Reasonable cost for the work done.

No service used, too expensive for what I wanted done. Also was not aware of a $59 dispatch fee for not using the company for my repairs. Technician was very polite.

Matt was able to evaluate what is happening with my shower drain and come up with a great plan to move forward to correctly diagnose and fix the issue. I feel so much better that I understand what may be happening and that there is a plan. Excellent service as always!

Arriving on time, our technician, Chris, was friendly and had the pressure water tank part that we needed on his truck. He replaced the part quickly and seemed very knowledgeable. Would definitely call them again.
