this is my favorite place to buy plants! I make sure to stop by every time I visit my family in Hampton.

There is always a wonderful display of unique indoor and outdoor plants, shrubs, and trees - and everyone who works there is outstanding 😊

I am newer to the area and had been looking for a place to browse for houseplants. I am so glad I found this shop - the houseplant section is amazing. Tons of plants that you won’t find at the big box stores. And the plants seemed much healthier than the garden center I was previously shopping at. As with any new plants be sure to quarantine them when you bring them home, as I did see one plant in the greenhouse that may have had some spider mites. But pests are pretty much unavoidable for any greenhouse and I always thoroughly check my plants before buying and quarantine them no matter how healthy they look. Prices were pretty standard - the more “rare” plants were priced higher as expected but there plenty that were more affordable. I did not have the time when I went to browse through much of the rest of the shop but it looked like they have moss poles and plenty of other plant accessories as well.

Wonderful time at Blooming British!! Great selection, easy access off Mercury Blvd. If you're lucky you may run into Richard. So friendly and full of great gardening info! Stop by regardless!!!!

I used to go here years ago when it was strictly called Mercury Garden Center and it was boss! It closed years ago. However, this garden center still uses the name after (re) opening as The Blooming British and have a great selection of plants to include some that I can't find anywhere else from VA. Beach to Yorktown. Trust me, I get around the 757. Friendly and helpful staff. Decent prices. Neat setup. Their indoor gift store smells awesome and has a very nice selection of novelty, accessories, books and artistic items for your indoor and outdoor gardens. Plus jewelry and holistic health items. Very happy that they (re)opened.

I've always loved this shop and have shoped here for the past 3 years. They have a wonderful variety of healthy plants and friendly staff and have never . This year they have a new loyalty program and and even larger selection of vegetables and herbs! I highly recommend checking it out, especially if you're a new gardener who doesn't know where to start and wanted to support a small business or wants higher quality then what you find at the larger stores.

I love this place! Yesterday, my husband won a raffle prize, and he couldn't be happier with what he got. A big thank you to the lovely staff. I've purchased so many healthy and unique houseplants from the greenhouse, and I'll definitely keep coming back to add more to my collection.

Register gal was super friendly and helpful! Loved the vibe and she helped me pick out the cutest plants and a pot. Also this location has a coffee cart and it was the cherry on top, because I didn’t expect it to be so dang delicious 🤤. 5 star experience.

Wonderful service!!!! They created a Christmas miracle for me. I live out of state and they were able to deliver exactly what I wanted to my parents. Service was perfect from the moment they picked up the phone until the time they dropped off the gift.

I've been going to this place since I was a kid in the 80s, and I've always found the staff to be friendly. The flowers, plants, shrubs, and trees are great and well cared for. They also have some nice yard accessories. The tree I bought from them last year is doing wonderfully. The photo Ive attached doesn't do it justice, as it's extremely hot and humid right now, so the tree looks a bit droopy and in need of some water this morning.
