Roberta disse steve. Both certified chimney sweeps. I was impressed that Robert was a master certified chimney an that were on time explained everything to me after that swept and inspected I had minor cracks in my firebox and a large hole in my lentil. There pricing was great that completed the work showed photos and cleaned up after themselves I would recommend this company to my family and friends. Keep up the great work thanks , lucy

They have a special on website that they admitted they needed to remove but hadn't and wouldn't honor the price. Never called to confirm appointment. Left 3 messages never returned my call. Had an appointment scheduled for 230 and called me at 245 to cancel. I had someone waiting at the house missing work for these guys to never show up.

We are very pleased with our service. We had Alonzo do the inspection and he was very professional and gave us a great discount to get all the work needed for our almost 100 year old chimney. They were able to schedule us quickly to do the repairs that were needed so we could be in good shape for Christmas. Gabe and Mike took their time explaining the work and showing me the pictures of the work to make sure I was comfortable with the work. At first it started off well very responsive and polite. The owner promises he will call or do something and never does. He catches an attitude when you call him out about it. I’ve been very patient and respectful. If you have paid your money and are told you will get a call or email that’s what should happen.

Had a value pack coupon for $69 inspection and sweep- they said repairs would be over $600.00 which I had to pay half right then and there. I got a second opinion and they said RVA chimney never cleaned it! You get what you pay for which cost me $69 - a lesson learned! Don’t fall for this!

Knowledgeable and professional service. Used Rva chimney for a chimney and fireplace inspection. The inspection revealed a chimney issue, so I used the company for repair. All the technicians were professional and courteous, and explained the issues and findings very clearly. I would definitely recommend RVA chimney

Update Update 8/29/23 - about 5 months ago, the owner called and worked with me to fix my chimney. It was painful and a long time after paying and "needing" it. But to be fair, they apologized and did ultimately fix it.
Changed from 1 star to 3 star for getting it done.

Update 11/7/22....
So, as of 4/11/22, I have tried to get updates from RVA Chimney Sweeps and have not received any proactive calls. The repairs were supposed to be done in Jan, and yet nothing as of 4/11/22. I wish they would have told me it might be 6-12 months before the maintenance would be done. And more importantly, I wish they wouldn't charge me until they completed the work. I will not use them again and will probably contest charges with my credit card company. Disappointed customer in Richmond

11/7/22 it's as if I don't exist. They asked me to take a picture of the chimney to confirm it is not fixed... Rusty old and black is not new...
And the main inside part is not done... Wasted $1000s... Wish it would get done.

I would highly recommend this company to any one in the area. We contacted RVA Chimney to get a second opinion after not feeling comfortable with the recommendation of a different company. Scheduling was easy. The two men who came for the inspection were professional and respectful. They wore their masks and maintained a respectful distance. They took pictures so that I could see what they had seen and explained everything in layman's terms so that I could understand. They answered all my questions and gave me a copy of the inspection report. All their recommendations were discuss with me and I in no way felt any pressure to purchase anything. This company is great!

This company showed up, gave me a $1000 quote to repair my chimney tops, told me they would be there the folllowing week but needed a 50% deposit because of the necessary scaffolding. They were paid $400+ and never showed up....several calls later promised to deliver services, but again never showed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

**Thieves** This company took my money 4 years ago, $465 deposit required to sweep and repair my chimneys, and they never showed up.....THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!!! (I find it ridiculous that I have to give them 1 star to leave a review, but I'll attribute the 1 star to how quickly they contacted me and requested downpayment to show up for the repairs) #THIEVES!!!#

Great company, great work, very professional and friendly and they do a nice job cleaning up after themselves!

I wish I had read these reviews before I hired this company. I hired them to re-point my patio. Poor workmanship, halfway done and way overpriced.

At first,, I was concerned but quickly changed my mind. I missed the call from the guy setting up appointments. His voicemail was full so I call the office. The answering service would not take a second message. I was given a few options: wait to see if they call back; send an email to follow up; keep calling and maybe someone from the office will answer. If the answering service picks up they cannot take a second message. Luckily they called back. We made an appointment for 2 weeks out, which was fine. The team who arrived to do the chimney cleaning & inspection was so nice and professional. Took their time showing and explaining the issues found. They will be back in a few days to do another treatment needed for major creosote buildup. That explains why my house smells like a campfire and/or smoked meat constantly. So gross! I will try to update my comments once this job is complete. Takes 3-4 treatments. So far, I recommend RVA Chimney Sweeps!
UPDATE: 05/24/22
Unfortunately, our issue was not resolved. The nauseating stench from the fireplace still fills the room and travels up the stairs into other rooms. We paid a lot of money to not have positive results. I will be reaching out to the owner to ask his/her thoughts on what's next. Stay tuned for another update.

I paid up front for them to fix my chimney and put a cap on the top. They came and did the work but the cap was customized. I had to email and wait about a week for them to send me pictures of the completed work. They finally emailed and said they are waiting for the cap to be delivered and then they will let me know and set up another day. The email said should be in by the end of the week. We are now three weeks later and they have failed to email me back after I’ve followed up multiple times. I would stay clear of this company as they lack professionalism and communication.

Flores came to clean and inspect my chimney in a house we recently bought. He was very thorough and showed pictures of what needed repairs. They are very fair-priced and he was able to fix the cracks that day instead of having to make another appointment. I was very impressed with this company and will use them again if needed!

A lurch, with water majorly leaking into my house, I called and Robert and his crew took care of everything. The price was on par and fair, everyone was respectful and answered all my questions. Robert had great communication throughout the project. I would highly recommend this company for any chimney issues you may have.

Amazing Company! I use my chimney ALOT as we have a wood burning insert that gets a good workout during the winter. I was looking for a new company for all my chimney needs as good help is hard to find. Robert was extremely professional and sent a crew out to clean and inspect. Prices were great. service was even better. during the very thorough Inspection, they found damage previously missed 4 times by other companies who charged almost double. 2 years ago, i paid over $2,000 to have work done (Cap, Crown, expansion joints) just to find out that the crown is cracked already!!! I will be calling them again next spring to clean and make all repairs knowing that it will be done right. Give these guys a call for a second opinion because i am kicking myself in the butt for not calling them years ago!!! Don't be like me!

Great service in no time. Very polite and professional. We had our crown done last year and we have had no problem at all. We have a wood fire insert and this is our main source of heat, we burn up to 3 cords from Dec-March. We wouldn't let anyone else take over. I highly recommend.
