Reviews of local pros in McLean, Virginia

From beginning and final the project with Atlas, the managers handled very well including of professional communication, the best quality.
We received the excellence of the final product on time that amazed of work, which is more than expectation.

Very smooth and seamlessly done project. This was a deck zip-up job which was not easy to do due to the there being different levels to the deck and drainage gutters were all to be interconnected. But the work was done professionally. So far so good.

Dealing with Nic and Abdul was easy and they were very responsive to any inquiries. The job was started on time and finished in a very reasonable period. Work quality was outstanding. The carpenter Antonio I would trust to do any carpenter work you might have, They cleaned up after the job and left the entire area very clean. Easy to work with and trustworthy.

Recently, Atlas General contractors completed our outdoor lighting in our front yard. They installed 50+ lights including illuminating house exterior, path lights and highlighting garden/tree illumination.

We compared 3 quotes and they were best value for the money. They completed the job in 3 days, including all the clean up. They were very professional and continued to offer daily updates on project milestone.

I would really recommend them.

Atlas General Contractors were a pleasure to work with. They did an excellent job with our new front stoop and the new walkways. They also made an 11x11 pad for a shed and a concrete walkway from the backyard to the driveway. No more tripping on worn out steppingstones. Abdul was very attentive to our needs. He was very responsive to my phone calls. He made great suggestions about drainage from our downspouts. Abdul stopped by frequently to check on the progress of the project. He treated me very respectfully. We will definitely due business with him again.

We would absolutely choose them again.

Shiraz and Abdul from Atlas GC were a pleasure to work with.

Project Scope:

Demo & rebuild 4' x 25' timber retaining wall w/ drainage stone, piping, etc.
Rebuild wood fence on top of retaining wall
Demo wood patio, install paver system & border river rock
*They also worked with my HOA to install a walkway with stone pavers and an 8x8 timber staircase adjacent to the retaining wall

Background:

Our project started with the desire to demo and rebuild a failing ~4' timber retaining wall in our rear patio which extended beyond our property line into public space. Our HOA opted to build a stair instead of their section of the retaining wall. As you can imagine, this got a little complicated as it required a number of different reviews and permits from the city.

I opted to manage the permitting myself, which involved a number of revisions to drawings and schedule delays. AtlasGC was very patient and accommodating during this process and also helped me work with the city to get the drawings approved. The city-driven changes to the design introduced added cost after their initial quote, but in order to keep the project from falling further behind schedule, they moved forward and absorbed the added cost.

Communication/Professionalism:

Shiraz and Abdul were very communicative and professional during the entire process. During the design evolution, Shiraz assembled a number of revised quotes which were very clear, timely and professionally assembled. We discussed a number of different options for the construction of the wall and he was very transparent regarding price, time, etc. During construction Abdul, Melvin and his crew were very respectful of the area kept a clean construction site. Once started, the project progressed quickly and completed within the established timeframe.

AtlasGC was also very patient and obliged to a couple of requests I made to make adjustments to their completed work per my personal preferences. They did this free of charge, without hesitation.

Pricing:
We had a number of contractors provide quotes on the project and AtlasGC was by far the most competitive. So competitive, in fact, that we decided to also have them hardscape our entire patio with a beautiful stone paving system.

I highly recommend AtlasGC for their work, professionalism, collaborative spirit, and competitive pricing.

Nick and his team did a fantastic job! Initially, we planned to renovate our front entrance steps, but due to an unforeseen emergency repair, we could only afford to install the railing at a different location. Nick and his team were patient and asked all the right questions. The entire project, from ordering parts to installation, took about a month.

We hired Atlas Construction to completely redo our driveway with stone pavers. They did an outstanding job; very professional, superb quality work, all work completed on time, and the cost was exactly as specified in estimate. Abdul and his team left everything immaculate. Highly recommend!

Muy buen trabajo mi baño completamente renovado

Excellent and accurate service. Recommended , satisfacción guarantee! Will hire them again.

Home Contractor of VA and Mr. Julio were amazing!! They did an absolutely amazing job and would recommend them to anyone!! 10/10

I have used Home Contractors of VA for multiple projects. The team can do anything at an affordable price. Julio is amazing!

Excellent, remolding company that I have found ever in my Sterling area Home Contractor is the best company!! They were able to power wash the deck, paint the kitchen - living room - and downstairs den. They were punctual, professional, and amazing quality. Our family is super happy. We will be continued, clients for future projects. Thanks!!

Julio and his team have helped a bunch over the last year with various carpentry jobs on a bigger multi family project we're doing. He's always responsive, has great carpenters who show up on time and work efficiently and he's been a big part of getting our apartment building together. Julio has a great attitude and is a pleasure to work with.

Our project was a complete remodel of the deck. Using TREX materials, Julio organized the demolition and installation crews. Each day of the project, Luis clearly and concisely planned, constructed, and completed the project. Luis’s attention to every detail was outstanding. His tremendous work ethic is greatly appreciated. I interviewed many deck companies in the northern Virginia area, prior to choosing this company. If you are considering a deck remodel or full replacement, I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

No kidding, Julio and his team might be the best contractors that we've hired in the nearly 15 years in the area. In our case, we hired them to clean up a previous contractor's job. We were so impressed that we hired them for a bigger project: remodeling our basement. They were prompt, competent, and delivered quality work. They did drywalling, electrical, wall removal, and ceiling replacement. Best of all, they did it all with no need for our involvement. Exactly the way it should be done.

Absolutely thrilled with the patio work completed by Julio and his team! From start to finish, their team demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and attention to detail. The finished patio not only exceeds our expectations in terms of quality but also adds immense value to our home. Highly recommend their services to anyone looking for top-notch outdoor renovations!

Julio’s team built a room in my basement and I'm very pleased with the work. Their professionalism, communication, and craftsmanship made the entire process smooth and stress-free. From start to finish, they delivered outstanding results and completed the project on time. I’ve recommended Julio to family and friends and would definitely use him again!

Julio and team just finished our built-in bookshelves and dry bar and they look great!! Very pleased with the work and they did a good job clean up and staying out of the way of a busy household!

Classic drainage is great . I had a blocked French drain and contacted classic drainage. They came out the same day and took care of it for me. They were courteous, and very responsive. I highly recommend them
