We had azaleas that have been in our yard for a little over 30 years. Over time sumac, poison ivy and the like had gotten into them, and after a round of getting on my husband and I we knew it was time to take them out. The man (Calven) that worked the machine to get them up was so nice, and he did a wonderful job. Our yard looks really great.
If you need yard work done Kirbys is the one to call.

They installed a gorgeous new patio in back of our house where we were having an addition built, and also replaced our front walkway with the same patio stone.
The patio crew was detail oriented and focused on the work, which shows up in the completed project.

Kirby Landscaping installed our original landscape plan in 2017, which was very large, including hardscape and retaining walls, and a fenced in raised garden. They were just back out to remove some big bushes lost in a storm, clean up beds, define edges, mulch, weed, and install a new planting bed. The workmanship exceeded expectations. After having spent over 13 years in sales in the lawn and garden DIY industry, I knew what needed to be done to get our newly aquired backyard into shape. After trying for 2 years to get a fescue lawn to grow and snuff out the wire grass and zoysia (very unsuccessfully as you can see in the first picture), we decided to sign up with Kirby Landscaping to help out. Honestly, a good lawn can take 3-5 years to fill in and look full. Imagine our surprise and excitement to see this (second picture) after less than a year of treatments and overseeding! We are thrilled! Our front yard also looks sooo much better and the neighbors keep giving us compliments! Their team was quick to get an estimate that was very reasonable, they service our lawn timely based on the season, they let us know ahead of time when they will be stopping by, and they are super easy to work with the office staff. I love that they are family-owned and operated. You will not be disappointed if you call them and have them do any work for you!

We absolutely loved our experience working with Kirby Landscaping this past fall! We were looking to have our overgrown Church Hill backyard upgraded with both hard and softscaping, and Chris (the designer and our main point of contact) delivered us three beautiful proposals based on an initial meeting, in a very timely manner. We selected one, and after the contract was signed, the project start date was set for about a month and a half later. They delivered on both the start and the finish dates exactly as promised - even factoring in a couple of rain day delays. They are true professionals, and we felt well taken care of throughout the process. We are amazed with the results and love our new backyard!

The front of our house needed so much work; removal of overgrown juniper, replacement of a deteriorating wood retaining wall, and a refresh of the concrete front steps/pathway leading up to the home. We had no idea where to start, but knew it would be challenging to figure out a low-maintenance fix that would work on a ~7 ft slope.

Kirby's came to the rescue and far exceeded our expectations. Shortly after our initial outreach, Chris delivered a thoughtful design plan that addressed our concerns and incorporated our wish list. It was clear that the foreman on the job, Joey, was knowledgeable and took great care in doing it right the first time. He checked in, worked incredibly hard, and produced incredible results. What set the crew apart was the consideration and the tidiness in how they worked - they kept everything so clean at the worksite, it minimized impact and earned the (positive) attention of our neighbors.

The work was completed faster than we anticipated, with excellent communication and results from start to finish. We couldn't be more pleased at the transformation of our home. We'll be a repeat customer. Don't hesitate to use them for any of your future landscape design needs!

I could not be happier with the final product and the people who made that happen. Our front yard was a mess of overgrown bushes, chopped up beds, and had a tired, "old" look. From the moment Charles came to give us an estimate until the crew (Joey and Steven) left, everything was professional, on time, and reasonably priced. And they cleaned along the way and left the area spotless. Our yard was completely transformed in a few days. Neighbors are commenting on how great it looks.
