Matt did a wonderful job with some electrical work at our house. It all started with his prompt reply to our inquiry and thorough estimate of the work that needed to be completed. He was very clear on the work that would be performed and was reasonably priced. He installed six new recessed lights for us and four new outlets on the exterior of the house. I couldn’t be happier with the work he performed and will be utilizing him in the future for any additional electrical needs!

Matt and his team have done incredible work installing new fixtures and ceiling fans in our home. They are always very clean, courteous, and Matt always gets back to me in a timely manner. I can’t recommend them enough. Thanks so much Matt!!!

Modern Electrical was fantastic. I needed 30 amp receptacles installed for some equipment. Modern Electrical was professional and thorough with their work. They also finished faster than expected. Matt was so responsive and answered any questions that I had so quickly. I would not hesitate in using them again in the future.

I hired Matt to replace an old fluorescent light fixture with a new LED fixture. He was very courteous, responsive to texts and phone calls, arrived on time and completed the work quickly with no issues and was very professional. I highly recommend Modern Electrical for many reasons; but, especially for a problem I have had that no other Electrician could repair. Matt Horrell, Owner, came to repair an outlet and found the problem. While at my home, I shared since moving here almost 20 years ago, I have never been able to use a different outlet to plug in any of my kitchen devices. Many Electricians have tried but all failed until Matt arrived on Friday.
He fixed my original request and then proceeded to track down why I don't have any power to that receptacle.Long story short, within 30 min. he found the problem in my crawlspace, reconnected the wires he had traced from the source; and for the first time ever, I plugged in an appliance and it works. I doubt, even the first owner never had power due to the problem. Yes, I let out a scream of joy and Matt will always be the only Electrician I will ever call in the future. Had Matt and his crew install a tesla charger at my residence. The guys were very professional and polite. Work was completed quick and clean. Great price, I would highly recommend!

I would definitely recommend Modern Electrical. Matt was responsive, professional, on time and efficient. He installed cameras, light fixtures and smoke detectors at my house. He also changed light bulbs in a chandelier that I couldn't reach. He consulted with me to make sure that I purchased all the right equipment and took care of everything quickly while he was here. Matt has helped several of my family members because we keep referring him to each other!! I would definitely use them again!!!

Matt was very professional and right on time, for both jobs he did for us, moving some light switches and installing new LED disc lights in the ceiling. He was very clean with his work. His prices were about 1/3 of quotes we received from other electricians so it doesn't get much better than that. I will also be giving him a call back when we are ready to get another couple of lights installed. I am very happy that I found him and would highly recommend him to anyone I know.

Matt was top notch. He contacted me personally and kept in touch with reminders and updates. He came on time and was very professional. Mike was very reasonable and forthcoming about the issues with our home. There were no hidden fees or price gouging here. He explained all the electrical issues to me and prioritized what needed to be done, what could wait, and the options. The price was just right and when he left, the area was so clean that you wouldn’t know he had been working in the space. It’s hard to find good tradespeople these days: Modern Electrical is a keeper.

Matt and his team at Modern Electrical were so great to work with! As a first-time homeowner, it can be nerve racking, choosing and trusting a company to do work in your home when you don’t know anything about electrical work. I chose Modern based on positive reviews on several websites; Matt came by very quickly after I called to give an estimate. The cost was significantly lower than the one I received from a big name company and I didn’t feel like he was trying to sell me more than I actually needed. He even checked inspection regulations for my county to see if we could eliminate an expense due to the grandfather policy. Then we were scheduled fairly quickly after and our electrical panel was replaced within a four hour window. Inspection passed and I look forward to using his services and expertise again!

Matt did an amazing job! I had them installed two brand new ceiling fans in two bedrooms, alongside checking over 2 precious fans installed years ago (one was very shaky, other made a squeaky noise).

Matt was on time, professional, and did the job with quality. He even worked around me since I work from home, so we kept the noise to a minimum.

I highly recommend him and definitely will be having him do more electrical jobs in the future

First, Matt is a great communicator. Very helpful and responsive to texts. His two guys, Craig and Dustin, hung 4 fixtures today and they were wonderful! They arrived on time and we’re very kind, knowledgeable and professional. Even put the light fixture together before hanging (cause I couldn’t figure it out!). Highly recommend Matt and his team for electrical repairs. Top notch guys!

Matt came over to look at what I wanted him to do, and he came up with a much better suggestion, which also accommodated our budget. He sent two of his technicians over to update several can lights and to install a new one, and they were extremely polite, kind to my noisy children, and fast. They did a fantastic job for a fantastic price, and I highly recommend Modern Electrical. I will definitely be using them again.

Modern Electrical installed a dedicated breaker and an over-the-range microwave in the kitchen at my home. Mr. Matthew Horrell, the owner contacted me throughout the scheduling and installation process with updates and information. I was impressed with his prompt and professional service. The technicians who did the electrical connection and microwave installation were courteous, friendly, and professional. They took the time to answer my questions throughout the process. .I will definitely call this company again for future electrical work!

I used Modern Electrical today for the first time (recommended by good friends) and am so pleased to have received such good service. Our family needed a Great Room ceiling fan (extra high) installed and Matt scheduled us within a few days from my husband's initial phone request for an appointment.
