Do NOT use this company for termite inspections or treatment! Our realtor hired him to inspect the house we bought. They cleared it for any termites despite visible termite damage. When we found it a couple of months after moving in, they told us they had seen it when inspecting but it wasn’t active so they didn’t note it on their report - that is not how termite inspections are supposed to be done - any damage active or not is supposed to be noted. It was also winter so termite wouldn’t be active.

A few months later, we had swarming termites coming from the damage area. We called them back and they said they would come treat for free. It took them over two weeks to come out. When they did, they used .06% dilution of Termidor and didn’t treat under the front porch.
Six weeks later our house is swarming with termites inside and out. We hired a separate company and they said 1) they should have used a higher dilution rate (what they used is only for prevention), 2) they should have used far more than they did and 3) they should have treated around the entire perimeter and not excluded under our front porch.
When we called and emailed about why they didn’t treat under our front porch, they ignored us and never got back to us.
So now we’re stuck paying $1500 to treat the infestation. All for something that was present before we purchased the house and should have been treated by the seller.
While they may be good at the other services they provide, they are not qualified to perform termite inspections or treat for them.

I have been using Affordable for years. They got squires out of my attic and repaired the damage. They repaired my ceiling from a second floor water leak. They eliminated mold and repaired structural damage from a kitchen leak into my crawl space. Basically I depend on them to fix any house or pest problem that comes up. They are Professional and Affordable........

Purchased my home & it passed inspection they worked on my home. Had to come back three times because it got worse and worse they pulled no permits for the job. I got a reputable company to come out and checked with the city. They never pulled permits for the job that was supposed to be done. They also used improper materials that will be no good within five years because not meant for the job that they did. destroyed my home 41,000 to repair it. And now have been told that my home will not pass inspection until the repairs are done. Not to mention the workers stole over 10 grand worth of stuff out of my shed while they did the job, I paid around eight grand for their terrible work , And it is going to cost me $41,0000 To fix what they destroyed I am going to sue them. I highly recommend you stay far away from this company!!!!! So their workmanship $ theft has now cost me $51,000. Please STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They do such a great job! I called them because no one would come to my home in the northern neck and I had a HUGE problem with mold in my crawl space so I contacted this company and Ron got back to me very quickly, told me he would drive the 2 hours to where I am and give me a quote. The quote was very reasonable and obviously I agreed! They came the next week.. redid my whole crawl space! They took out everything, cleaned it, redid insulation, incapsulated it, did a french drain, did a sump pump and installed an air purifier in like 3 days. It was amazing!! Would definitely recommend this company.

We hired them for a flooring installation and popcorn ceiling removal, and the experience was deeply disappointing. When we asked them to return to fix a minor issue, their crew spent three hours yanking out planks and trim with little care, causing unnecessary damage. During that visit, they let their shop vacuum tumble down a flight of stairs and crash into a wall, and one of the workers even used our backyard as a restroom—completely unacceptable behavior.

From the beginning, there were red flags. After the initial job, they left trash in our shared parking lot, which drew complaints from neighbors. I also strongly suspect they took items from our shed during their time on the property.

I reached out to Ron, who seemed apologetic and agreed some compensation was appropriate. I sent a modest reimbursement request—about 5% of the original job cost—but since then, I’ve received no response.

This was unprofessional from start to finish. I would not recommend this company under any circumstances.

I contacted Affordable Exterminators and Handyman Services after experiencing significant water damage from a failed water heater. Ron responded immediately and was on-site overnight to assess the scope of the project. His team was professional, courteous, and efficient throughout the entire process.
They replaced the flooring across four rooms with exceptional craftsmanship. The results were so impressive that I decided to have the carpeted front portion of my home replaced with the same vinyl hardwood as well. In addition to the flooring, they encapsulated the crawlspace, completed painting, repaired several rotted window sills, reattached gutters, and addressed various plumbing adjustments.
I am extremely grateful for the quality of work and the level of service provided by Affordable Exterminators and Handyman Services, and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Needed some repairs on my rental home. They were able to knock out a retaining wall and front stairs very quickly and for a great price. Will use again if I need any more repairs on that property.
