Appliance Repair reviews in North Chesterfield, Virginia

The Worst of the Worst! Never schedule with these people. I scheduled with Sears thinking they were a high quality and trusted company. Boy was I wrong!
The first appointment was a no show without any notification of such. I missed a half day of work because I had to go home to meet the repair person during their window. I rescheduled thinking that everyone deserves a second chance. The repair person came out and supposedly fixed my dryer. He was polite and seemed to know what he was doing. He ran the dryer prior to my paying the bill and it seemed OK. The very next week the dryer began doing the same thing it was doing that prompted my original call but worse since now the screeching noise was back AND it was not drying either.... I called them and re-scheduled for someone to come back out. They said that because the repairs were still under warrantee, labor would be covered and I would only have to pay for any parts. That was fine. I scheduled. I responded to a confirmation text confirming that I would be home for the scheduled appointment. I left work early again and they did not show again!!!!!!!!!!!I (at this point I have missed one whole day of work).
I was extremely frustrated by this point. I wanted to speak with a live agent to discuss my experience. Nope! They really do not want people calling their live agents so they make it highly difficult for people to find their live person contact phone number...If you look on their website, they only allow you to schedule or re-schedule (electronically). They give you a phone number but they only utilize robots/AI on these lines so you end up in a vicious phone loop. Once you do find a phone number that connects you to a live individual which takes about an hour, you cannot understand what the live agents are saying because their accent is so heavy.
I have reversed the charges on my credit card and am reaching out to a local company to do my appliance repairs in the future. In case anyone wants to know why Sears is struggling; this is a fine example of non-personalized service what fails to meet any kind of quality standard. -
Would have given less stars if available. First appoinment had a knowledgable technician. Second appointment to repair fridge was a no show. Calls to customer service sent me on a continuous loop not resolving issues and wasting more valuable time. Guess I have no choice but to cancel demanded upfront labor charge and buy a new fridge.

I was charged $1,000 for a part I apparently did not need as mu ice maker is not only still not making ice, but now it is making a very loud high pitched noise.

The repair tech was nice, however, he might have been turned out solo too quickly. A 20 minute shock replacement turned into almost 2 hours with calls to the mentor to figure out how to install the shocks without cutting the mounts. He did not clean up my washer (I've never had a tech get grease on my units so I'm concerned about where the grease came from) and the dryer wasn't even involved on the repair ticket, but I had to degrease it also. The broken receptacle is concerning since I heard a solid noise and he could have told me about what happened.

The Technician came out first thing in the morning @ 8am (They gave me a time period of 8am-5pm) so I was glad to get it out of the way. He gave me good advice on how to handle my AC on really hot days. I appreciate the help! Thank you so much.

Experience not good. Refrigerator has not worked since 11/8/25. Technician was okay. Service awful. Rating is for service not technician.

I called Sears February 24th they sent a tech out same day. 136.00 if we choose to use them the total would be 436.00 and would be back that Friday. Six weeks later after living out of a cooler they showed up. They put the part in and it didn't work. I called them and they said it would be a week before they could get another tech out. REMEMBER I HAVE ALREADY BEEN LIVING OUT OF A COOLER FOR SIX WEEKS. I asked for my money back they told me they would once I returned the part. LOL ARE YOU SERIOUS. I agreed to paying the 136.00 fee. But I want the remainder of the balance credited back to my account. They insist they need me to send the part back. If I could do all of that I wouldn't need somebody to take it out and replace it because I don't know where to begin I think if they need their parts they need to send a technician to take it back out. Do not use Sears appliance repair for nothing go to your local appliance store near you I wish I would have.

Daniel kept me informed of the steps he was taking to diagnose and repair the washer. He let me know what each component did and the tests he was running to ensure everything was working as expected. Great customer service!
-
He kept in touch with me on his arrival time, and when he arrived, he checked out my washer, took pictures of what was going on with it did everything he could to try to find the model number which neither one of us could find and determine that the age and the problem was not worth trying to continue to repair in my opinion so I will be getting a new washer machine. I appreciate his honesty and thoroughness on show me what was going on.

Jeremy did a wonderful job on my dryer, he was very knowledgeable about what was going on with my dryer and he took care of it in a reasonable amount of time. He made it clear about what needed to be done and the cost ahead of time. Thank you for the great service Jeremy. Lorian C.

Jeremy was good… the second time around. He actually went inside my home. The second time using this experience was sad. AI sucked to talk to every time and support was very unhelpful after 20+ calls and 4 reschedules. Here’s what I said prior to finally getting my dryer fixed for $550 “ I am writing to express my deep frustration and utter disappointment with your repair service over the past few weeks. What was supposed to be a simple dryer repair has turned into a nightmare of miscommunication, unprofessionalism, and wasted time, costing me hundreds of dollars, days of waiting, and zero resolution.
On or around June 23, 2025, a technician named Daniel came out for a diagnostic visit. I paid $129 for him to spend five minutes diagnosing the dryer, which I was completely fine with. He confirmed the issue and ordered a part, stating clearly both to my point of contact on site and to me via follow-ups that no one needed to be present for the actual repair. I confirmed this multiple times with your team by phone.
Since then I have had three separate appointments scheduled between June 23 and now. Here is what happened:
Second appointment: I received a text at 7:30 AM confirming the tech was en route. I responded “OK, sounds good.” I never received a call, update, or follow-up. At 4 PM, I asked how it went and received no response. I sent a third text that evening and found my number had been blocked by the technician.
After calling more than 20 times, I finally reached someone to reschedule. Again, I confirmed for the fourth time that no one needed to be present for the repair.
Third appointment: I spoke to the technician over the phone and told him someone was inside. He did not believe me, despite my tenant confirming she was there. Instead of going back inside, he left. While trying to resolve this, my tenant’s car was towed and she was unavailable the rest of the day. That technician refused to give me a supervisor’s number and ignored my texts afterward.
Fourth appointment today: I cleared my schedule and sat in my Richmond townhome from 8 AM to 1 PM waiting. No one showed up. No call. No text. No email. I wasted a full day I had taken off to travel for the holiday and got nothing in return.
I have spoken to several of your representatives and even sat on the phone with a supervisor for 25 minutes today with no resolution. I have been patient, respectful, and persistent, but this is now beyond unacceptable.
Let me be absolutely clear
I am not driving to UPS to return the part you sent. That is your responsibility.
I am not paying for any part, service, or labor beyond the original $129 diagnostic.
I want a full refund of all charges beyond that diagnostic.
I want a technician to come pick up the part or you can consider it forfeited.
I have lost time, money, and trust in your company. This experience has been the opposite of the excellent service I received from Sears in the past and I will never use your company again” -
Had a scheduled appointment and they didn't show. Didn't communicate with a text or call. Their service tracker and chat were hours behind and it's almost impossible to reach a live person. When and if you do, they don't have updated information. Original appointment window was 8 AM to 5 PM, and after being pushed off for hours, saying he'd be here in an hour, I finally got an answer at 7 PM that he wasn't coming. Very frustrating. Wasted an entire day. Had to reschedule and there was no priority. Waited another 4 days to get an appointment. Awful. Do not use.

Time was from 8am to 5pm
He was pleasant and nice. Told me what was needed quickly.
However, he came at 4:30pm
Would have liked for him to get to my house earlier. Had to sit at home all day waiting.
Thank you -
Five star service indeed! Herbert was timely, knowledgeable and friendly! We’re back up and running! Thank you! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Technician previously served my dryer and was polite, professional and knowledgeable. Would recommend him to complete any repairs!
-
The technician wasn’t informed of the problem I was having in advance. He didn’t bring any diagnostic tools. I told him the problem I was having. He opened and closed the fridge several times then told me to fix it the cost would be $600. I don’t even know if what he says the problem is really what’s wrong with my fridge and his recommend repair will fix it. I paid $139.00 service fee for no service. That was definitely not worth it

Jeremy is the man! He knew exactly what to do and was quick. He deserves 5 stars! He repaired a Kenmore dryer with new pulley and belt. Thank you for your expertise Jeremy!
-
Arrived during scheduled window. Provided quick diagnostic and explained warranty options and service pricing. Diagnostic price was reasonable, but repair price was extremely high for ice maker fan.
-
Technician didn’t arrive the first day he was scheduled. Arrived late the second day we stayed home for him, knew what he was scheduled for in advance with a description to replace a specific part, ordered the part in advance, and then simply said he couldn’t perform the repair when he actually showed up
-
They were supposed to do FaceTime before they come so I could tell them the issue they didn’t. The issue was locking device code 9 I told Repair Man that from the beginning, he told me they did not make that part no more but still charge me $139 which is bullshit.

Came to fix dishwasher but my model was not in their system so they couldn't fix it. Spent money to tell me my dishwasher was broken and to call someone else. Worthless.
Editted this morning: Thanks for the phone number, but there is no option for customer service, just a round around. So... you can call me instead and ill be happy to talk with a real agent.
