We love how our carpet runner turned out! We went to the Oakton location and I had a hard time deciding which carpet option I wanted to go with. Kat helped us select a beautiful Antrim wool carpet. Once we made our selection they were able to get the installation done in a little over a week. The installer did great work, lining up all the herringbone lines perfectly.

I had also worked with Clawes to replace carpet in my condo years ago. They have great customer service and do quality work!

Fabulous service! Rush job before Thanksgiving to get a room ready for grandmother. Clawes (Mike and Ken) came thru in ALL phases. Made a scheduling miracle happen and the install was first class. No need to look ANYWHERE else if you need flooring!

Absolutely astonishing customer service--very professional and courteous not only at the store but while installation as well. I recently (October) had my family room carpet replaced and the team at the store was very resourceful, knowledgeable and helpful. The installers explained what they would do and how long it would take when they came in to install. I am a stickler for courtesy and professionalism and was impressed. I would highly recommend them.

We had Clawes replace carpets throughout our townhouse earlier this year (2018), and couldn't have been happier with them. The sales staff (we initially met with Ken, but Adam handled most of our interactions) were helpful without being pushy, which is exactly what we needed. But for as great as the sales staff was (and they were), it was the installation staff which really impressed us. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship was remarkable, and when they encountered a difficulty (unexpected laminate flooring under one of our existing carpets) which cost them several extra hours, they did not try to skip out on doing it right (e.g., by just laying the new carpet down on top of the laminate)
just because it wasn't in the estimate, nor did they try to charge us for it later. One of them noted to us that taking up the laminate first would make for a better install, and it was clear that this was what was most important to them -- delivering the best possible install, even if it was harder and they didn't get paid for the extra. This is what makes fantastic customer service. If we ever need to get carpets again, we will be looking to Clawes for sure!

Outstanding customer service, quality product and installation, and fair pricing. The Oakton shop's Doug helped me choose a new carpet, came and did measurements (and quickly did an estimate) BUT he also recommended that we try cleaning the 5-year old carpet first. Clawes Carpet Cleaning did the best cleaning I've had in 40 years of homeownership. And now, we can postpone that new carpet purchase for several years. Clawes' response? "That's fantastic." You simply can't find better customer service than that!

Dealing with Clawes was a great experience from start to finish. After receiving proposals from three companies for a straightforward carpeting job and a far more difficult wood flooring job, we felt much more comfortable dealing with Doug from Clawes. A previous general contractor had renovated our kitchen by installing new wood floors and then badly damaging them during the cabinet and appliance installation. The existing wood planks ran under the the cabinets so the old floor would need to be cut where they met. Doug assured me he had a crew that could do the job without damaging the new cabinets, but he was straightforward in advising that the only issue might be the need for shoe molding to hide any slight gap where the new flooring and cabinets met, meaning that we could lose use of two toe kick cabinets at floor level.

The crew, led by Esser and Fidel, were every bit as good as Doug said they were. They not only cut away the old flooring and installed the new flooring without the slightest scratch, but they also painstakingly removed the toe kick drawers and other molding at the bottom of the cabinets so there was no gap where they met, avoiding the need for shoe molding and maintaining use of the two floor level drawers. This company is terrific!

We had Clawes install new wood flooring upstairs and refinish our stairs. They did a great job with the new install, no complaints there - fast, efficient, and well done. Unfortunately the refinishing was poorly done. We had the team come back once already to fix a hole they left between the stairs and wall due to poorly cut and aligned corners, as well as clean up some spots they missed with the stain. As I continue to live with the refinished stairs, I continue to find areas where they just were not paying attention to detail.

Clawes Carpets in Oakton is the best! We had the best experience having them install hardwood flooring throughout our home. From beginning to the end can not say enough about the great experience, customer service, and quality of flooring we received. Clawes just completed a project in our house; new hardwood floors in all of the bedrooms, luxury vinyl plank in our basement, a new runner up our stairs and new family room carpet. They did an outstanding job. They moved furniture and put it back in place and cleaned everything up. The crews were large enough that the work was completed quickly even though it was a big job. Professional, trustworthy, quality and reliable vendor for your flooring needs. In our case, we have installed hardwood for the entire top floor of our TH. Doug came and made measurements - We picked the Canadian solid hardwood (which did not seem to have been affected by the tariffs yet) waited for the amount of time we had been given exactly and then scheduled it with Allen. Anytime I called, he picked the phone. Katherine handled the quotes and invoicing - their crew came with three truck 6 men team and finished the job in 5 hours - fantastical results. Price-wise you might be paying just a little bit over than the cheapest contractor, but I assure you that it is well worth to have the business done with the professional and trusted people for a very acceptable margin. I recommend Clawes Oakton to everyone who needs hardwood - PS: We picked Mirage and they are amazing - shockingly our Husky has not scratched it (yet)

We wanted to have the carpet and hardwood flooring in the main level and upstairs level replaced with luxury vinyl flooring. This included installing hardwood on the stairs that matched the vinyl. Also, we wanted to have a stair-runner installed on the staircase going to the upstairs level. Lastly, we wanted to replace the pad and carpet in the basement.

We had the best experience working with Clawes Carpets and Flooring. It started with Katherine who listened to our desires for the house floors and she made excellent recommendations for the luxury vinyl and carpets. Doug came to measure the home and also made some helpful recommendations related to the baseboards. We agreed and had Clawes also installed new baseboards on the main level.

The installation of the luxury vinyl was done in a day - amazing. The carpet in the basement was done on another day that week, and the stair-runner and baseboards installed on another day. The teams were polite, efficient and did an excellent job. They also cleaned up nicely after they were done.

This has been the most pleasant experience for us in all aspects of this project. Everyone was so helpful and answered our many questions. We received two other proposals for similar work. While Clawes wasn't the cheapest (they were in the middle of the three prices), they represented the best value based upon our interaction with them, the detailed written proposal, and the kind assistance they gave in helping us to decide.

Clawes carpet is amazing. Kat is wonderful to work with. Selection is great. Pricing is competitive. Workmanship is superb. Wouldn’t go anyplace else. And they stand by their work and their word.

Clawes did an outstanding job in our home! We are very happy with the carpet that they helped us choose for our basement and stairs. The installation was perfect. BUT, the hardwood landing that was installed at the top of the stairs, as well a new hardwood step leading into our kitchen, was spectacular! We live in a 1950's home which can be quite challenging when it comes to repairs and retrofitting. Clawes brought us a little bit more into the 21st century. We couldn't be happier with the workmanship!
