I have been planning to replace my HVAC system for a while. It was 19+ years old and I had spent close to $1000 over the past few years applying "bandaid" fixes to keep it operational. Smiley's HVAC had done work for both my brother and my Parents and they were both pleased. I had called Smiley's and 2 other HVAC companies to come give me replacement estimates about 18 months ago. They ranged in price from $6000 to $15000. I finally decided to bite the bullet and get the work done. While Smiley's was not the cheapest estimate, based on the reviews here,on Yelp and on Angie's List, and my families experiences, I decided to go with Smiley's.

I called on Tuesday 12/18/2018 and was Helped by a very cordial young lady on the phone. She told me Larry wasn't in the office but he would call me back as soon as he picked up his messages. Twenty minutes later Larry called and we set up an appointment for him to come back and give me a new estimate on a replacement system on Wed 12/19. This estimate was very slightly higher than the one from 18 months prior but I expected that. Larry showed up promptly and did a thorough evaluation of my existing system. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in his explanations. Part of my HVAC system is in my attic and I asked about moving it down into the garage. Larry said that could be done but probably wasn't a good idea. I expressed concern over condensation leaks I've had in the past and he understood. He was very thorough and patient in explaining the mitigation he would put in place to prevent any future leaks and also explained why moving the components into the garage on a house sitting on a slab foundation would make any potential condensation drainage much more difficult. It all made perfect sense.

Larry got back to me with an estimate that afternoon and gave me a followup call to see if I had any questions. I didn't and asked when we could get started with the work. As this is the week before Christmas, I was expecting sometime next week. I was pleasantly surprised when he said they could do it the next day! He called to make sure all of the necessary materials were in stock and called me back to confirm and 8:30 AM arrival time for his crew. The Crew (TJ, Jeremy, Nick and Dave) showed up promptly and got to work as soon as I cleared them a path through my garage to the Attic access ladder. They worked through the day and by 4:30 PM I had a new HVAC system to include a new additional return air vent.

I am extremely pleased with my entire experience with Smiley's. If you are looking to have a professional team replace your HVAC system at a reasonable price, call Larry!

Chris was on time and as i had people sleeping he worked quickly snd quietly. He also took the time to explain all the features available in the new thermostats.

I had a great experience with my HVAC technician. After the initial visit, he came back out to do additional troubleshooting and really went above and beyond—staying well past 5pm and working hard the entire time. He was friendly, professional, and transparent about the work being done, which I really appreciated. Overall, I’m very pleased with the service and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

Tyler Nick and crew were amazing! Each one of them displayed a tremendous amount of professionalism and overall friendliness. They kept me in the loop of the progress and it was very apparent that there are extremely knowledgeable in what they do. As a whole they truly lived up to the company’s name as everyone seemed to have such a great attitude as they worked through such high heat levels outside. I would highly recommend them!

Harold was very professional and timely. He was in and out to take care of our scheduled maintenance. He was efficient, and we definitely appreciate that!

Wes the electrician and his partner were absolutely wonderful. Wes came out to my home a few weeks ago and between him and my self we figured the best and most efficient way to wire for a portable generator and get the use of my entire electric system. They came today did the work as proposed for a very reasonable price. As far as I’m concerned I would use Smiley’s for all my electrical work and would most definitely request Wes. I just retired a year ago from a Large publicly Traded Oil company in one of the New Jersey Locations and my responsibilities was the HVAC & Generator Sales U can tell you from a 44-year career with the company Smiley’s and Wes are all Top Notch in my book.

3 young men came and installed hvac system. Our A C was out for 20 days and supposed to fix it didn't contact us and didn't answer calls. These men worked hard all day in very hot attic. Very professional and knowledgeable and pleasant. Answered all questions . Helped us program thermostat and made sure we knew how to use all features. Nice job cleaning up. 2 b of men very young and worked hard all day. Awesome job!!!

Smiley’s installation team arrived when scheduled and provided the full replacement of our upstairs heating and cooling system in less than a day. They performed the work diligently and professionally and explained the new system thoroughly. They took great care to protect adjacent finishes and cleaned up completely when finished.

I’m very happy with the service and the product. The guys that did the work were really personable and did a great job cleaning up. My old unit sounded like an airplane winding up to take off and this one is so quiet. Also, a shoutout to the female rep that came out to determine the size of unit. She had to get down and dirty to make her determinations and it’s great to know females have an opportunity to be in a male dominated industry!

My 2nd floor AC system was replaced with a new Trane unit. Expertly done in a day and a half by three courteous professionals. Highly recommend.

Thorough, friendly, diligent, and extremely hardworking. We had our HVAC replaced this week by Daniel B and one other gentleman (I am sorry I forgot your name) -- they were GREAT! The job was involved and they were at our home until 9 PM ensuring it was completed to the highest standards and making sure we had no other questions. The new system is working beautifully. They were both knowledgeable and patient with us. Everyone we have dealt with in this company (including Ryan and Dustin) have been knowledgeable, clear, concise, and pleasant to work with. We received multiple other quotes before moving forward and Smiley's was by far the most reasonable for quality equipment (Trane). They also pointed out a critical issue due to lack of a bypass damper contributing to previous system decline - no other company pointed this out. We would recommend this small business to anyone for HVAC needs! Wonderful experience

We had our electrical panel replaced. Wes and Malachi were great. They made sure they communicated with us Throughout the process. Gave us time estimates of how long the power would be out. Confirm that all of the electrical panel was labeled correctly. And explained how and when to check the panel search protector, and how to address if it had been tripped. Very pleased with the work they did, and they were Very pleasant and professional

Chris H and his crew did an amazing job replacing our gas pack. Attention to detail and excellent craftsmanship. Most highly recommended. They do it right. Give these guys a raise!

During the busy season they were able to fit me in at a decent time. The Tech they sent out was absolutely amazing; didn't try to scam any extra work. That is important to a customer. I will definitely call and recommend them for future use.
I learned the hard way, to save a buck cost me more. Just call an experienced person to do the work.

Just had a great experience with Smiley’s Heating and Air. They were very professional, on time, thorough, good clean up and very available for any questions or concerns. We replaced whole system. They checked and rechecked their work and even sent a guy out several days after to look it all over as quality control. Highly recommend.

Terry was on top of the issue right away. Terry is a excellent example of someone who comes in and gets the job done right. We have been repeatedly impressed with the work of Smiley's employees. Thank you!

It has been 2 1/2 yrs and it is still awesome! I was extremely impressed with Larry Smiley's crew. The ductwork is phenomenal. My 3 1/2 ton 16 seer Trane ac and 93% efficient gas heater are both incredible! You feel the airflow when it comes on. It heats up super fast and cools down fast! They work hard and do great work and clean up too. Timothy does my biannual check ups and he is first rate and through! Use Smiley's you won't regret it!

We have had a yearly maintenance contract with Smiley's since they installed the replacement system, and we have been more than pleased with their service.
Recently, Dakota completed the semi-annual service, and he is always very pleasant, professional, and efficient!

Harold is a lovely young man who was here to check out our system. He knows his job quite well. He answered all my questions. My problem is at 91 I forget I asked the same questions 6 months ago and have forgotten how the new system works. He was very patient going over how the system works. We are so grateful to him for having the patience to work with those of us.who are long passed our better days. He is very special.
We all know Smileys sends its special trucks to hardships caused by weather, fire etc. Now add to this the the special help Smileys is sending to its very senior customers. G-d Bless you.
