Sky NRG Solar recently completed the solar install at my home and I could not be happier with the results. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in solar. I spent a lot of time researching various PV solar panels, components, and design considerations. When I started contacting local solar install companies I found that almost all provided little or no choice on components, panels, and other add-ons; I felt my time was wasted researching and I would not be able to get exactly what I wanted. When Rob from Sky NRG Solar reached out to me he had a much different tone, he was excited to deliver the system that I envisioned and provide a solution that would exceed our expectations and meet our energy goals.
Sky NRG Solar clearly separated themselves from competitors by the following:
1. Allowing solar panel choice which was very important because warranties differ between manufacturers.
2. Providing inside wiring of conduit rather than having metal conduit exposed along a roofline and down the side of the home; and the resulting look is worth it.
3. My installation also included a consumption meter, no other vendor offered this. Without the consumption meter you are only seeing a third of the picture, you only see how much solar you a producing; however, with the consumption meter I can see how much I am self-consuming from solar, how much I am using from the power company, and most importantly when my utilization goes up. This truly gives a full energy picture within your home and makes you very aware of the energy you produce and consume on a regular basis.
4. Throughout the entire experience they treated every aspect of the design and install as if it were their own home. The placement of components like the inverter were all strategic, ultimately minimizing costs for improvements in the future and allowing us to quickly add additional components (like a whole home battery or electric vehicle charger) for when we are ready without having to relocate any existing components.
5. Finally, Rob and his team have a genuine passion for solar energy and it is displayed by the work they do and the finished product.
After the first visit Rob was able to provide a detailed quote with sizing, pricing, and component selection. Unlike other vendors I corresponded with he was quickly able to provide component specification sheets that provided all the details needed for the system that was to be installed, this even included the rail color and hardware. We went through some iterations and changes in the quote and finally decided on a different panel type than originally planned, he was able to price quickly and update the quote.
Rob provided all the information necessary for all HOA approval docs, he took care of all the county permit applications and design documents, and the coordination with the power company for our net meter install. I simply had to post the permit on our front door. The detail included in the documentation was second to none. Once the HOA approval was done and the permits were ready he was able to coordinate the delivery of the panels and components to our home with us. Shortly after the delivery his team got to work installing; they worked long and hard to get the install completed as quickly as they did. Most importantly their entire team treated our home like it was their own home; very respectful and clean. The result was visually attractive, functional from day one, and insightful regarding our power production and consumption.

SkyNRG designed and built a ground-mounted system for our home. Their pricing was competitive and they worked to provide the system we wanted, rather than the one the other contractors wanted to sell us. When a shipping company damaged some materials, SkyNRG took care of it, and when a manufacturer failed to meet its obligations, SkyNRG solved the problem and stood by its original pricing. Their service to us was thoroughly professional – we will turn to them again if any expansion to the system is ever anticipated.

Rob and Elliot recently installed my Tesla Wall Charger and they did an excellent job. I got several quotes for this work and they had the best price. I went with them not because of the price but from friend's referral and I'm very glad that I did. First of all they are very responsive and they will get back to you right away with any questions.
For the work my panel is located in finished basement and they had to run the wire through sun room to garage and they did this very clean and with no issues. They obtained the county permit and passed inspection right away.

Had them install a solar array on our roof. Rob and his team were professionals during the entire planning and installation phase. They did a great job at routing the wires and their electrician did an awesome job and wiring the whole thing. We also had them come back to upgrade our panel and add two EV circuits and a charger to the garage. Would recommend them for anyone looking to install solar panels.

Sky NRG Solar did a great job installing our system in September. The system was priced appropriately and quality parts were used. The panel layout and electrical work are all very clean. Especially the conduit routing on the side wall of the house (the only conduit you even see outside). Everyone was very knowledgeable and professional. It was also nice seeing people you wouldn't expect in the field like the owner, Robert.

There were a few issues that were encountered as the installation wrapped up and the project was into the inspection phase. However, the team addressed them promptly and without issue rather than leaving me hanging.

It's also worth noting that when I recently had a water stain on the ceiling and I suspected a leak, Robert promptly sent out his folks to check. Although it turned out to be condensation from the bath vent, I really do appreciate that he addressed this in a quick and professional manner.

I definitely recommend Sky NRG Solar to others and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again if I get another opportunity to do so.

From the start, I felt confident about my decision to have Sky NRG install solar panels on my roof. The process began with Megan doing a site survey to determine if my property was a good candidate for solar. Once that was nailed down, she made a cost-competitive proposal that took into account my annual energy usage, the usable space on the south-facing portion of the roof, and the availability of high-efficiency panels. This resulted in an estimated 10-year payback period for the project's cost, after taking into account the 26% federal tax credit. I chose not to get a back-up battery for the system, but can make that addition at any time if/when the economics improve. The technicians and electricians who installed the system, did liaison with Novec, etc., were all very professional. The system has been up and running for 4 weeks, and my Solar Edge app shows in that time I have been a net exporter of power to Novec of approx. 600 kWh. Highly recommend!

We recently contracted with Sky NRG Solar to add a battery backup to our existing solar system. From the time of our initial contact through project completion, Robert and his team were incredibly responsive. After taking careful consideration of our system and our household needs, they developed a battery backup solution that works well for us. I have been looking at adding a solar system to my home for several years. This summer I decided to make the move and started looking for a small 10 panel setup. My approach was to get the roof replaced then add the panels. The roofer did a great job and referred me to Rob and SkyNRG. We feel very lucky that we met Rob and were able to work with him and his install team. This is a bigger and more complex job then you might imagine and they did an excellent job routing the cables and hanging the panels. We received solar proposals from five companies, but we chose SkyNRG Solar and could not be happier with our choice. Of the five, only Robert Mudry of SkyNRG Solar actually came to our house to review the proposal and answer all of our many questions. He examined different placement options to identify the one that would produce the most energy, and he offered two price options, which were both attractive. We were concerned about the appearance of the panels, and SkyNRG Solar assured us that they wanted the panels to enhance rather than detract from the beauty of our home; the panels look great. SkyNRG Solar managed the permits and inspection, and they were ready to install the panels and inverter sooner than we anticipated. Robert and his very professional team completed the actual installation within two days. Again, the panels look great. SkyNRG Solar is a gem of a contractor. It can be daunting to deal with home projects but Rob, Megan and their top-notch electrical and install team made it painless for us. After first contact, Megan emailed an estimate based on my preferred equipment, stopped by for a site survey and dropped off a proposal. Theirs was simply the best among proposals from other 5-star reviewed contractors. While the others had 1 or 2 equipment options, SkyNRG Solar has a much wider variety - offering many brands of solar panels, inverters, energy storage, EV chargers, etc. That said Rob and/or Megan can give their recommendations based on homeowner's needs and wish list. They took care of everything: permitting, net metering arrangement with the power company, HOA approval and were there for the final inspection. They have the best crew - Corbin, Daniel, Jason, Juan, Marc and Zeko are field experts, courteous, very thorough, neat and cared about aesthetics, i.e. panel layout, hidden conduits and main panel work. To top it off they under promise and over deliver. The best of the best. Rob and team has set a high bar for our future home projects.

Sky NRG Solar Inc. provided a complete and usable ground-based solar system in accordance with the contract and they met my requested schedule. The solar system was commissioned in December 2023 and has performed flawlessly since then. For the last six months the solar electric system has performed at 100% of my consumption. Sky NRG Solar recently installed my solar system, and I am very pleased with every aspect of the experience. From the initial discussions and system design all the way through the successful installation, Sky NRG was on top of things, every step of the way. I did not have to worry about anything except getting my HOA to sign off on the installation. Otherwise, SKY NRG did it all — permitting, coordinating with the power company, inspections, and scheduling. I had just had a new roof put on a few weeks prior to the solar panel installation, and I had some concerns about how the brand new shingles would be impacted. I needn’t have worried! Everything went flawlessly, and the final product looks like it’s been there from the beginning. The crew was a small and efficient team that works incredibly well with one another, and the entire process took only a few days to complete. Monitoring the system is easily accomplished, either online or using a smart phone app, and it’s really cool to see how much money we are already saving, even in the winter.

One of my requirements was an aesthetically pleasing panel layout and Sky NRG designed a system using premium all-black panels and hidden conduits which followed the roof lines the best of all proposals I received. Pricing was competitive and the installation timeline was fast. I immediately knew this was the company I would move forward with. They are very knowledgeable and each step along the way was handled professionally and efficiently. I am extremely pleased with the quality of work from Sky NRG Solar.

UPDATE - It has been the first full calendar year (2022) that I have had the solar system installed. My production numbers were 9% higher than the estimated system output (17,800 kWh actual vs 16,190 kWh estimated). My home electricity consumption has increased 18% from the calendar year before SkyNRG installed the solar system, however, this increase is the result of a full year of at-home EV charging. The EV was driven 12,000 miles. The solar panels are currently offsetting 87% of my electrical usage. I plan to switch to energy efficient appliances to close the gap even further. The estimated payback period with the addition of SREC payments will also be quicker than expected. I am very happy I made the decision to go solar and use SkyNRG Solar as the contractor.
