Outstanding Quality and Professionalism - Highly Recommend!

I hired Everth from E&J Virginia Construction to remodel my house and couldn't be happier with the results. I have worked with many contractors over the past couple years have been disappointed time and again. Everth finally delivered the quality and professionalism I was looking for.

His prices were very affordable, but what I was most impressed by was the exceptional quality of his work. Everth is very experienced and highly skilled in all areas of home remodeling - electrical, plumbing, tile, LVP, drywall, paint, etc.

The tile work was particularly impressive. Everth installed tile in two kitchens and a bathroom, and the results were amazing. His grout lines were clean, straight, and very professional looking whereas multiple other contractors that I had previously hired had failed to produce the professional results I was looking for.

For the main floor, I had a very specific pattern in mind for the LVP installation. I explained it to him once and he quickly picked up on my idea and implemented exactly what I wanted. I checked the measurements myself and they were spot-on!

Everth was also super helpful on the materials side. Whenever something was needed, he would send me links to the exact items so that I could order them and have them delivered. He knew exactly what was needed and made it very easy for me to manage the project.

One of the biggest improvements he made was fixing my kitchen floor. A previous contractor had installed self-leveling cement but did not do a very good job. Everth tore out all of the old flooring completely and redid the leveling from scratch and it came out excellent.

Everth pays close attention to detail and is focused on high quality results. He carries himself professionally at all times, and when I had questions he was always responsive, had good ideas, and was very knowledgeable. Also, anytime I wanted something changed or adjusted, he came back and reworked the item until I was completely happy.

I can confidently say Everth is the best contractor in town (and I have hired many). I would highly recommend him and would definitely hire him again in the future.

Is not what it used to be, lack of attention and not very service oriented staff.

"""48 hour return policy""" for appliance. Wow. Got a new washer from Home Depot. Didn't need to wash my cloth 3 day after. Found out brand new washer didn't work. Service call to manufacturer -ONE WEEK-- Found defective motor. Order Parts--ONE WEEK--. Part on back order. NO WASHING

I purchased cabinets through Home Depot. I had to change consultants twice due to unprofessionalism. After providing perfect measurements to the designer, we were inundated by a couple errors. The most egregious being a miscalculation on a counter top extension. The designer provided with those dimensions based on the dimensions of the space and cabinet piece. Only the designer knew the cabinet dimension so I relied on her to provide accurate numbers. The stone was cut too wide based on the dimensions provided. The Home Depot store manager insisted that they are not liable for this mistake since Home services were not used to install everything and I even got the response that I did not provide our existing counter top numbers. A bold-faced lie. We also had a cabinet that was too wide. In addition to the failures by Home Depot, we had numerous quality issues with American Woodmark cabinets. Their customer service and representative response was deplorable. Back and forth trying to get them to replace flawed or damaged pieces. Home Depot has to initiate everything with Woodmark which they failed at miserably. We spent around $12,000 at Home Depot in the past 3 months and feel very dissatisfied. Makes me want to boycott them and shop at their competitor even though they are much farther away. My suggestion to anyone looking to buy a kitchen. Look to a professional kitchen and bath company as you will potentially run into problems with Home Depot.

I could not have ben more pleased. They did everything they said they would do and more. Easy to work with and took pride in their service.

They were hired to reduce sound. They put an insulation in that made the sound worse. They gave no recourse on how to fix the problem. So I paid them for a service that did not work. Additionally they left the job site a mess. Dust everywhere, holes that were spackled. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. Save your time and money.

This company is wonderful! The owner came out and gave us our estimate...which was funny because he helped with the construction of our townhomes when they first were built. He was very efficient and didnt try to sell me on the bells and whistles and the price quoted was very reasonable. The work was done within a week and the workers who came to install the insulation were quick and efficient and left my house looking just as nice if not better than when they arrived.

When you get good insulation out in you dont really need to use them more than one every decade or so. With that being said if you need this work done and you're getting estimates then you MUST get one from Discount Energy Service. You won't be disappointed :-)

Great experience!!! In the past year, my heating and electric bills have decreased significantly. In large part, I attribute the reduced costs to the insulation put it by Discount Energy Services. I highly recommend using this contractor. Kevin is professional, knowledgeable and he provides excellent customer care and service. The cost for installing the insulation was very reasonable too! Highly recommend!

They showed up a bit late but called to let me know, and still finished on time and did a really good job. They air sealed, fixed a bathroom vent, installed an attic tent and filled the attic up to R-49 with cellulose. No complaints. The crew was professional and efficient. The upstairs used to get really hot in the summer and is much cooler so far.

Pros: the crew did a good job insulating the attic

Cons: I can’t recommend this company for several reasons. We were told the crew would be here from 11-6 and they were here from 11:45-9:30 which was way later than our expectations. There was a staple and some insulation left on the floor in our hallway after cleanup (not a big deal to us but might be to those with kids). They broke our air handler in the process and when we called, they said Kevin would come look at it between 10-11 the next morning but that his wife who fields incoming calls could not reach him that night. It was 85 degrees upstairs at that point so that was unacceptable. We called out our A/C maintenance folks who fixed what they had damaged for $150. The following morning, we called several times to let them know it had been fixed but calls went unanswered until 10:30, which is when they said Kevin would come anyway to collect payment. He came and accosted us after we said we’d pay in full but would appreciate him covering the service fee for fixing what his crew broke. We have a security system which captured this interaction. We did not expect nor appreciate being yelled at for trying to work toward a positive outcome. We don’t believe his crew did anything negligent but they broke something accidentally and we were hoping the owner would step up. We are remarkably disappointed in how he handled the situation. We paid more than $2000 for the job and he wasn’t willing to cover $150 to repair what his crew had broken.

Unlike other HVAC and insulation companies I contacted, they responded promptly to my initial inquiry, actually arrived and were here in the window they gave me, didn't try to upsell me on a home energy audit after I already knew what I wanted, responded to follow up phone calls, didn't tell me it was impossible to do the job I needed, and actually completed the job. I should have gone to them in the first place rather than spend months begging other companies to take my money.

This business made the process easy, I had 1970s insulation and giant air gaps in my top level ceiling into the attic and they took their time to air seal and then fill my attic. 100% worth it!!! I had a high efficiency ac unit installed a couple years ago but after the insulation was installed I am seeing 30% less energy usage from my ac. Also the house is way more comfortable! I could not recommend this company enough!

Kevin and his team efficiently insulated our 1970s attic. He walked us through the proposal noting where the suggested strategy would help immediately. He pointed out where we were losing AC from faulty wrapping, built a platform for us to use as storage, and wrapped the access door. Overall, they made sure to be clean, thorough, and efficient. This space is directly over my home office and I could feel the difference immediately. Very happy with the result and highly recommend. Before and after pictures added.

Kevin came for clear review and inspection, told me what was and want needed and avoided upsetting me on things I thought I might need. Crew came quickly, at time advertised, was clean, consistent, and answered questions about the work being done well. Left the same day with great clean up. Cost me $2500ish for my attic insulation and way better than I'd have done myself. Would definitely recommend.

Two thumbs up! Everyone involved was fantastic! Kevin was friendly, knowledgeable, patient and polite. Laid out a few options and what he recommended and why. He answered all my silly questions and hypotheticals. His price was a little higher than all of our other bids, but he offered MUCH more than the competitors. Installers were thorough and transparent, cleaned up when they were finished and gave us a run down of all work completed. Our Whole family noticed a MAJOR difference within hours of completion. Heat pump not constantly running, Outside noise dampened, the house heatsbup and holds heat SOO much better. Thank you! thank you! to D.E.S. and their team. Highly recommend
