Called to get a quote for tree removal for my home. The person responding apparently thought I was pranking him because he didn't like my name. Quite absurd considering we live in a metropolitan area- not to mention he'd find that I'm of English descent if he'd bothered to provide a quote.

Edit: changed review due to response from owner. Not sure if accurate, but nobody deserves to be dragged through the mud forever if a mistake is recognized. Cannot speak to overall quality.

I've worked with him four times over the last six years where he cut down or pruned trees. I found him to be very knowledgeable and available to work on any size job at a decent price.

I have relied on Duff Borsody's Tree Service ("American Arborist") for the past 20 years. He is well known among my neighbors as the go-to guy for tree work. Living in South Reston, we have numerous large trees surrounding our home. Over the years, I have hired Duff to tend to many jobs, including the removal of dead trees, pruning, and cabling. He is honest, reliable, and highly experienced, and his prices are always very reasonable. As an arborist, Duff can quickly assess what is wrong with a tree and how best to address any given problem. I highly recommend his services.

I've done business with Duffy a couple times now, and I can highly recommend him. He is extremely knowledgable and very fair in pricing. He was also able to come out to site quickly and get the work done with no issues whatsoever.

Very unprofessional

They blocked a road without any notices or signs and conducted their business. They asked me to back up 100 yards with a school bus full of students as if it was none of their business. The poorest professionalism I have ever seen. They should have better procedures when they block roads.

Being new homeowners we reached out to get a quote for branches to be cut down. He looked at our backyard and refused without a quote and drove off, specifying that because we didn't use him for another tree. I've never experienced such unprofessional and rude behavior.

Osmon came by and gave us an estimate to remove branches from the tree and top it off. Gave a us quote and I called to schedule. They have yet to return my call to schedule the job. Looks like if it’s not a large enough job ($$$$) they won’t bother coming. On to the next tree service provider! Unfortunate because I like to supper local businesses
