I contacted MJ for a project in my yard. His customer service was excellent and he was prompt to our appointment. I was thoroughly impressed with his work and ability to see my vision. I highly recommend MJ Landscaping and Design.

Mike is very dependable, hard working, and through. The yard looks great after every visit. I will and have recommended him to my friends and family.

I called him for an estimate and had no idea what I even wanted to get done- he came to look at the project and had great ideas and was able to complete the work quickly and was very reasonably priced. They've really went downhill over the years. Here's the results of 11/30/2021 maintenance at 1305 Progress Road. Smh

Very rude, don't expect any customer service, if you call wit ha complaint they will cuss about you and say "Just hang up", I don't recommend, and don't expect any of them to treat you nicely.

I ordered a bunch of screened topsoil today and they gave me an extra 5-6 yards of top soil.

The people don’t even know how to mow grass it very simple if you know how. The people you have working for you needs to go back though training again. They made a mess of my yard. They Scalped my beautiful lawn and they think it’s ok. Well it’s not. I have to live here they don’t it’s my yard not there’s although it’s an association that hired them they should be more professional with there work and not just mow blow and go. Very disappointing I have photos but it’s not letting me post. I’m just beside myself. How a company thinks this is ok.

Upset at Reunion

This company has been great to have on sight. Tight, well organized crew maintains the lawns inside the plant I work in, and on the exterior up to Wilroy Rd.
I cannot overstate the willingness to accommodate our steel lay down areas, and crane/equipment sites.
The cuts are excellent, the crew is friendly and always positive.
Their equipment is modern, and in compliance with plant safety protocols (guards on weedeaters, riding mowers, etc). The workers themselves are familiar with the plant and always have proper PPE.
Good company all around.

I was looking forward to topdressing and mulching my yard; unfortunately, they don't deliver soil and mulch anymore. It is a shame. I give it 3 stars for great customer service. They probably deserve 5, but I could not get what I needed, so I took two stars off. I do highly recommend if you could hull your own.

I just had to leave a review after reading all the negative comments. Maybe I’m just in left field, but my experience has been amazing with this company! I’ve been working with Ray in setting up what’s needed and pricing. He’s always been on point, very knowledgeable, man of his words, and reasonable. You couldn’t ask for a better person to walk you through the process and provide pricing. Now let’s talk about the people who physically does the work – Kenneth is their onsite job foreman which some calls him “Mud,” who does a remarkable job! His talents are second to none, he’s the best of the best, his work and knowledge is amazing! Not to mention he’s very kind, professional, and listens to the customer. I couldn’t have asked for a better company and team to construct my project. I have also included a few pictures. You won’t be disappointed, just ask for Ray.

Kenny was very professional when he came out to estimate the project. Unfortunately the company can’t respond or give an estimate in a timely manner. I actually got a call that recommended I go with a different company because they were too busy to do a residential property.

Unprofessional, unable to deliver a quote after site visit 3months ago.Pulling teeth to talk to Ray! Would not recommend.

We had them come out to give us a quote on spring/fall maintenance and weekly mowing/weeding. He was there for 3 minutes, said they can do all of it. I said great, how much? He stated I needed to call the office if I wanted to know the cost. I wasn’t going to agree to anything without knowing the cost up front. I called and spoke to Ray while the guy was still here, he was very friendly and said they would email me a quote by the end of day. I never heard back from them. That was 3 weeks ago. I emailed them 3 times and tried calling. Total waste of time. Seems to be par for the course here in VA.

This company is a joke just like the owner I put new seed down worked endless hours getting my lawn ready and this clown and his crew put the blade as low as it would go and destroyed my yard when I had a big sign that said do not cut my law and he's not even man enough to answer his phone or show his face I hope the homeowners association fires these guys they do a terrible job as you can see at the bottom of the page I posted three pictures and let me remind you that this is not the first situation that I've had with these guys in just 2 weeks ago my girlfriend was coming out the house with our 3-month-old baby in her arms and almost tripped on the doormat that they blew up on the door and just left there this is the third time that they have done this and I can't get any help from the homeowners association they're just as bad as these people but I would definitely never recommend these so there's the proof I'm not just saying it I'm showing it to y'all
