Sean Bretz is an awesome technician. He was on time, got to work Quickly, diagnosed the problem with my furnace, replaced the defective part, tested and inspected the furnace. Great job Sean. I will definitely use advanced heating and cooling again, and will definitely refer other folks to this company..5.0/5. Great job Sean..thank you. And thank you advanced heating & cooling.

We are very pleased with the service we received today. Andy Mattson found a problem that previous technicians missed. He was patient and thoroughly explained the issue 👏. A huge thanks to you Andy.

The service people are great and do good work, and the response is fast. However, the price charged for the job by Advanced Heating and Cooling seems high. We recently had a furnace fan motor replaced. It was a Mars 10467 motor with a •retail• price of $100-125 (checked on the internet). It took two hours for an on-premises install and service. The charge for this was $900 plus tax.

I had a really good experience with Sean as my tech. He arrived quickly, he was transparent and was willing to explain everything, and he diagnosed my heating issue so fast. Why this is 3 stars is because of the price I paid for the heat sensor. I had no problem paying $265 for him to come out on a weekend, but paying $240 for a heat sensor was insane considering the literal exact same part is on Amazon for $12. It is a plug and play piece that took 2 minutes to install so no way the cost difference is for labor. Overall good experience with Sean, very much disliked the cost of the part. Takeaway: if a tech comes to my house and diagnoses something, regardless of trade, I’m researching the part/work
before I agree to pay for them to install it. -
Didn't have a good experience with my repair. Spent over 3k in the winter for a repair. They needed warm weather to see if pressures on both sides were normal. Came back out this past week and it's not right. Now they want another 2k to try and fix it yet again. Spoke with service manager who had nothing to offer but sorry if you feel like you didn't get your money's worth. We already paid for a complete day of work and now you want us to pay again and if it's not what you think this time then pay again . Um no. I would hope you would work with your customer more than this. You installed this system when new and have been out when needed a few times. I didn't ask you to do it for free but you absolutely offered nothing. I already prepaid for a service before winter which is not happening now. I will find a different company and purchase a new system when this stops working completely. I would avoid this company. Zero integrity on warrenty or customer service from manager. I've had this system for 20 years so long time customer until this...

Called the office number listed on their site to try to arrange a quote for a heat pump installation. Apparently it was after they were closed; however, instead of getting an automated message telling me their office was closed, I was seemingly forwarded to their emergency number. I spoke to someone (the connection was awful and I could hardly hear them) and left a message. It's been over a week and no one ever returned the call.

Worst contractor experience that I have ever had. Replaced my gas, forced air system that was having problems with a higher efficiency system.
Day 1: only sent 1 technician for tear out. After 2 hrs of work (and rendering system unusable), he stated that he had to go back to the shop for parts. 3 hrs later, I called the shop wondering if he was returning…. Was informed that he was not returning, and they were not going to be back at my house for 2 days. Leaving me without heat, in November, during that time.
Day 3: 2 technicians returned to “complete” the install. Punched multiple holes in wall for electrical, then proceeded to have loose wire tuning directly through said holes to the system with no conduit, and not per electrical code. For the water condensation line, rather than run a 6 foot gravity line through the outside wall, installed an electrical pump system, because it was “faster” for the technician. During the process, they unplugged other critical items from the electrical outlet to power the new pump. Ventilation lines extended 6 feet into garage space rather than keeping tight to the system, again because it was “easier” for the technicians.
I submitted all of these issues, and more, in writing to the company, refusing to make full payment until the punch list of issues was completed. And then received no response for 30 days, until I received a call from their billing.
I cannot, and will not, recommend this company to anyone looking to repair/replace their heating system. -
I will never use Advanced Heating again. I have never written a review, let alone a bad review, once in my life. I feel so strongly about this that I’m taking the time to warn others.
The tech came to our house for a routine maintenance, verbally provided some suggestions and said he would follow up, that some of our issues would probably be covered under warranty. Never heard back. In addition to the maintenance check that day, we were upsold a thermostat that was “on their summer sale” price for $500; just looked it up and found the same make/model for $148.
The tech then proceeded to install the wrong thermostat, a more expensive “wifi version” that was $700. When he was finished he went to my husband (when I was the one handling everything up to that point) to ask if we could just accept that he installed the wrong one and pay the additional expense, citing he had “already installed that one”. I told the tech no, but offered to accept IF they would meet me in the middle on pricing. He declined. When I said ok then we’ll take the cheaper one, he gave a heavy sigh and said ok I guess I’ll take it out and install the other one.
In total, we paid $800 that day.
Once the new thermostat was in, we started having problems with it not following the schedule we programmed. I waited a few weeks to see if I could adjust settings and get it working properly. It did not.
I called them back, told them the issue and they sent out the same tech from the first visit. Again, lackluster attitude but agreed to install a new one.
I realized the next day this thermostat was having the same problems. I took multiple videos over two days to show that the settings weren’t matching the programming. I sent them two separate emails asking for help and expressing my frustration. They didn’t even bother to respond.
I work in a customer facing job and deal with HVAC vendors regularly. This was by far the worst company I’ve ever dealt with, including the technicians attitude.
I would highly recommend anyone thinking about using this company to look at other pricing for equipment before agreeing to their pricing. It’s likely a rip off and won’t even work properly.
