We’ve been using The Plant Nerds for years now. Brandon and his team always go above and beyond to answer my questions, take on new projects, and help me keep my yard looking beautiful and my HOA happy. I highly recommend them.

They do an excellent job with my own maintenance. The straightest edges I’ve seen.
UPDATE: Just yesterday, Francisco and his hardworking skilled partner performed a massive cleanup task in an extensive bed of weeds, blackberries, dead trees, way too many sumacs, grass embedded in vinca. They also took away old laurel branches and magically transformed them into fragrant mulch which finished off the project. I cried in appreciation.

Brandon did a great job designing a refresh of our backyard landscape, and his installation team worked hard and meticulously to bring the design to life. They were attentive to details and left no mess behind. Very pleased with the end result.

Once the job was complete, I couldn't have been more satisfied with the work. The 2 gentlemen who did the install were very nice and professional. We love the end result! Even the neighbors (and there are a lot of them) came out to see the end result and were wowed! We are still getting drive by's yelling out compliments. I just wished there was more contact with the original designer after the initial face to face. I was just hoping for some check in before during and after the plans to ask if I had questions or to see how things were progressing and if the end result and install met our expecations. Instead I did a lot of reaching out on my own and email communications with Lisa. Who by the way was very nice in accommodating my questions. There is a lot of money involved and I guess I just expected a little more hand-holding (check in etc.) with the customer throughout the process. Check in at the end to see how it went and to leave instructions on care etc., to maintain the garden to it's full potential. All in all, we have a beautiful space that a lot of people are jealous of now LOL
    Thank you,

The project teams that worked at my house doing various landscaping chores were both very hard working and paid attention to small details. Pruning, cutting down trees, raking beds, spreading mulch, hauling/spreading gravel, creating a walkway with pavers etc. were all well done. A thank you to Angel, Abelardo, and Francisco for all their hard work!

After seeing what they did for my neighbors yard I knew these were the guys. Absolutely incredible job. Professional, on time, and beautifully done work. They helped me reset my front yard from the struggle jungle it was to one I can pause at every day now and appreciate the beauty. Thank you to the crew that came and to Brandon's vision and execution.

We had The Plant Nerds come out and do this to our front yard. It is so beautiful and will be easy to maintain as we had asked for. Brandon talked to us about what we wanted and came back with this plan. It was a joy to work with them.

The Plant Nerds did an exceptional job of pruning all of our shrubs and trees and replacing all of our mulch. We were extremely happy with the results. The crew that came out was very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend them.

Plant Nerds just completed a pruning job for us and we are so happy with how the work turned out. The foliage they pruned fits right in to the rest of the yard, and they brought new life back to the plants. We weren't able to be here when the work was completed, but it wasn't even needed because they knew exactly what they were doing. When they were done, they packed up all the debris and left no trace that any work had been done. Would ABSOLUTELY use this company again for any and all yard needs!

Plant Nerd crews are a pleasure to have on our property. On-site communication is great, and they always take great care in all phases of the great work they do for us. Angel is always a step ahead, understanding what our shared vision for the property is. We are so satisfied with everything Plant Nerds has done of us, from infrastructure improvements to spring pruning and maintenance!

Brandon, Angel, and team completed installing a gravel pathway and fire pit area, as well as coving the rest of the yard with “arborist chips,” with incredible efficiency earlier this week. Fantastic job and excellent service! I can’t wait to work with Plant Nerds again to add plants appropriate to the soil and sunlight there! Thank you!!!

We had a great experience with the team from Plant Nerds. 3 great professionals were on site tending to the 2 areas we were "challenged" by. They took great care with our yard and when they were done - beautiful! I was especially grateful at how flexible they were as they needed to come back the next day to fix the remaining irrigation issues in our rose garden. Kudos to Plant Nerds!

Beautiful job pruning a magnolia tree. Very happy with the communication and ease of the project. Would recommend.

It was really cool to have the walk thru they first did when they came out tie to the work they did when they arrived for the first work on the yard. It is super important and in keeping with th level of service.

We had a good deal of overdue pruning in our front and back yards. Overgrown laurel and juniper were taking over the drive. Juniper and branches from a Smoke Tree hung over the walkway to the backyard leaving only a narrow slice to actually walk on. Along with the Smoke Tree, a Holly and a Lilac in the front yard were long in need of pruning. Back yard shrubbery was equally in need of work.

We were impressed with how Brandon discussed the approach his team would use pruning and shaping the different shrubs and trees. He took quite a few pictures to use in preparing the team prior to them actually showing up to do the work.

Carlos and Eduardo did the pruning, and they did excellent work. We were very impressed with the amount of hand pruning and shaping they did on the trees and juniper, especially. They were on time both days they were at our house and in spite of the amount of handwork they did, finished on time.

We are very pleased with the work The Plant Nerds did for us and will definitely use them in the future.

The Plant Nerds team did a great job removing plants from our front yard that were dead and overgrown. They selected new plants that make a smaller front yard space much cleaner. They completed the project timely (only one day!) and were responsive and friendly.

If you just want the short version: I've been using The Plant Nerds for Monthly maintenance of my yard/garden, and had them put in some wood chip mulch which you can see in the first photo. The quality of their work is about as high as money could buy, and thankfully doesn't cost that same high amount.

For a longer version: I've been trying to get a local business for maintenance of my yard/garden after a restoration from being horribly overgrown by invasive plants (mostly Morning-Glory/bindweed and Himalayan Blackberry). Most of the services I've tried have had issues with the quality of their work, "management issues" (scheduling, communication, etc.), or often both.

The Plant Nerds have had none of these issues, have a level of discretion regarding what I wanted that no other place even asked me about, and if they did ask, didn't actually deliver on. The main thing I wanted them to focus on was "keeping invasives and other things that will completely take over the space out, and leave anything else, even what some might consider 'weeds' like dandelions/etc are fine". If you look at the photos included - which is after they came by for a monthly *MAINTENANCE* visit - you will notice that there aren't any blackberries or morning-glory anywhere. I didn't think to take "before" photos of these spots, but those same areas had almost 1/3 of the space filled with sprouts of either (spring will do that). Most impressively, this involved properly removing some morning-glory sprouts which had started wrapping around those daylilies and hostas, and yet, those plants are doing just fine. They had the understanding to leave that nice little fern near the trees because it was in the "good" category, despite me not specifically asking them to.

Which is honestly better than I have seen anyone else manage, including myself.
Even at my absolute harshest, I am quite pleased.
Are there a few sprouts of blackberry/morning-glory near some strawberries in the last few photos that got missed? Yes.
But there are fewer than 5 such sprouts I could find *AT ALL*, and some of them are right next to other plants that, unless you bent down and looked, you might not even notice they were different plants until they grew out more.

This is a level of discretion and care that I had really thought was unattainable from a business. So yeah, I'd say I'm pretty happy with them.
