General Contractor reviews in Gig Harbor, Washington

These guys are the best. We were nervous to step into doing a remodel in our house given Contractor stereotypes, but my husband and I were blown away with their communication, timeliness, detail orientation, and quality of work. If they will have us, we won’t go anywhere else.

We hired CMC to build a garage/ADU for us. They did such a great job that we had them come back and remodel and expand our deck and patio. I'd highly recommend the CMC team. They're excellent at what they do and great to work with.

Christian was great to work with. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

Loved working with them. Helped us every step of the way. And made from scratch 2 gorgeous houses!

CMC was an outstanding contractor. Christian was very easy to work with throughout the process. He was quick to respond when we had questions and worked diligently to make sure that everything was perfect and that we were completely happy with the finished product. I would and will certainly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality contractor.

Christian and Randy at CMC Development Inc were the contractors on my house remodel. The project turned out better than I could have ever expected. Both Randy and Christian responded in a timely manner. They take pride in their work and this is evident throughout the entire process. I am extremely thankful for the work they did and helping me get into my dream home. I would highly recommend them.

CMC was retained to perform a full home remodel of our 1988 two story home. We enlarged our kitchen by combining our formal dining room with our existing kitchen. We turned our family room into a fully functional bar. We tripled the size of our deck and added roofs with heaters and recessed lighting. We made our downstairs 1/2 bath into a full bathroom by adding a shower. Revised our utility room into a much more functional room. All new doors and base boards. Added a 9' sectional glass door to the deck replacing a smaller slider and added a 6' popout window from the kitchen to service the deck. Their quality and level of detail of work were outstanding.

We recently finished a project with CMC Development and could not be happier with the outcome. Christian was easy to work with, super detailed and mindful of our needs. Outstanding quality builder!!

Christian and his team were fantastic to work with. Very responsive throughout a major remodeling project for my home office and workshop. Will look to use CMC again when it is time to make improvements in other areas of our home.

Can’t say enough good things about Christian & CMC. He knocked our commercial tenant improvement for Haven Permanent Cosmetics & Aesthetics out of the park. It was on schedule, on budget, and he was a stellar communicator & problem fixer throughout our project.

We recently had the pleasure of working with CMC Construction on a project to build of our beautiful advanced aesthetics spa in Uptown Gig Harbor, and we couldn’t be more impressed with the results. From start to finish, Christian and Collin were incredibly professional and thorough, ensuring that every aspect of the project went smoothly.

The timelines were spot on, and we truly appreciated how efficiently they worked to get everything done on schedule. They were also right on budget with their initial quote, which made the whole process even more seamless and stress-free.

The quality of their work is exceptional—our new spa is absolutely stunning and has quickly become a wonderful space for our staff and community to enjoy. The attention to detail and craftsmanship is evident in every aspect of the build.

We highly recommend CMC Construction for any commercial or residential projects. Christian and Colin’s professionalism, expertise, and commitment to excellence made all the difference, and we couldn't be happier with the finished product.

We just finished an entire renovation of a home that we inherited. Not only was this an emotional process but it required addressing many years of deferred maintenance. CMC Development, Christian Harkson, his entire staff as well as all his subcontractors could not have made this experience any more enjoyable. Christian walked us through the entire process step by step. He listened closely to what our end goal was & absolutely exceeded our expectations.

We had our dream home built by CMC Development, and the entire experience was nothing short of outstanding. From start to finish, Christian Harkson was professional, knowledgeable, and truly went above and beyond in every aspect of the process. As first-time home builders, my husband and I were stepping into unfamiliar territory, but Christian guided us every step of the way with patience, expertise, and genuine care.
Making big decisions about how to make our space feel uniquely ours was both exciting and daunting. Christian made it manageable—he provided trusted references for every phase of the project, connecting us with experienced professionals for everything from tile and carpet to countertops, fixtures, masonry, roofing, landscaping, and more. He even helped us think through details we didn’t know we needed to consider.
What stood out the most was how patient he was throughout my many design changes—some of which ended up looping back to the original ideas! He never pushed to move forward until I was 100% confident in a decision, which made me feel supported and empowered during the entire process.
The on-site crew, Collin and Colby, were incredible as well. They were onsite daily, always professional, quick to respond to questions (even over text), and instrumental in keeping everything running smoothly. Their knowledge and communication were key to making the build process feel seamless and well-managed.
We are beyond thrilled with the result and truly grateful to the entire CMC Development team. Highly recommend them to anyone considering a custom home build—you will be in great hands

Incredible work from Brent and his team. They know what they’re doing and do it well!

Great work, good guy. Would highly recommend Brent and certainly would hire him again.

A friend recommended Brent at Erickson Construction based on his integrity and previous work. Brent met me at my home and spent an hour with me. He was able to point me in the right direction with my next steps. Greatly appreciate his time and honest feedback about my project.
