Outstanding service from Star Tree Service, in particular from Star himself. After the recent windstorm we had a pine tree top snap off about 20 ft up and fall onto the adjacent trees. After the weekend I called Star and he showed up that afternoon to provide an estimate. His team came out the next day and were able to complete the work in between downpours. Very happy with his team's performance and we will definitely use him in the future, while recommending his services to neighbors. Thanks Star Tree Service!

Star and his crew did an excellent job clearing out 11+ trees and also removing the dead branches. Our yard looks like a completely different! They did great cleaning up all of the extra leaves/branches/debris. I would highly recommend Star to anyone who is looking for an amazing company who is hard working and gets the job done at a very reasonable rate!

Complicated dangerous 4 day job removing 25 fir trees while saving Madrona trees. Star the owner is very hard working and conscientious. I’ve used a different service for years but gave Star this job. Particularly impressed with how they didn’t just clean up when done, but each evening. My neighbors were not inconvenienced in any way. Highly recommend these guys for tree service.

I had to have 80’ alder trees covered with ivy removed next to our neighbors fence. Star bid on the job one day and the next, they were gone. Highly recommend this long-time Gig Harbor man and his crew!!

Star and his team are excellent! They are professional and courteous. We had a large expanse of trees topped for preserving our view. The job site was difficult but they completed the job as promised with attention to detail. The crew checked in frequently to make sure height was correct and they cleaned up the site so all neighbors were happy. I will definitely call Star for the next tree project!

I had a great experience with Star Tree Service. I had a tree that was right next to my fence that needed to come down. Out of all the companies I called, they stood out to me for how clear an easy they made the process. They came and gave me their estimate, which I felt was very fair, so we shook hands, I signed the contract, and they showed up right on time to remove the tree as scheduled. They are true professionals. How they were able to perfectly cut the tree so it fell at such an angle that not a single branch even scratched my fence or any of the structures around it was seriously impressive. I appreciated how attentive the owner was in making sure I was 100% satisfied before they left. I could really tell how much pride and care they have about the work they do. From scheduling to cleanup, all was smooth, clear, and professional. Highly recommend this company and I will definitely use them again in the future.

I highly recommend Star Tree Service! We have had Star Tree Service cut down more than 15 trees (fir, madrona, and alder) on our property. Star, the owner, has been great to work with - he is very knowledgeable, professional, and reasonable. Ben & his crew skillfully fell 2 large firs and 1 larger, dieing hemlock at our home. Easy to see, they new what they were doing. We will call for their skills again.

You couldn't ask for a nicer more professional team. Ben Thornhill and his team do amazing work! They took down two large Douglas Fir trees that were close to our house and on our septic system. I was expecting a lot of damage from the large logs and branches, but the impact to our yard was minimal. They are an elite group that really understands what they're doing and are very easy to work with.

We have used Thornhill Tree Care on multiple occasions for tree maintenance and for tree removal. In all interactions with the owner and with his crews, we have been impressed with the quality of service and with the level of respect the team has for us and our property. The value and service that Thornhill provides is top tier.

We have hired Ben on several occasions over the last few years to include large area clearing, huge trees that leaned towards the house (I have an impressive video of Ben at work on that one), very tall dead tree removal and most recently an emergency service for the most recent wind storm that caused a tree on our property to fall on top of our neighbors house. Always professional and reliable and his team is well skilled as well. Most importantly his prices are fair!

They leave a lot of trash behind. Very unprofessional

DO NOT HIRE THEM! THEY ARE SCAMMERS! They will take your money and will not show up to work and will not answer the calls.

I would never use a service that has repeatedly left business cards on my porch where I have a clear "no soliciting" sign, with every person very obviously purposefully turning their head away from my Ring doorbell. Extremely shady and not trustworthy.

I had a terrible experience with ALAMEDA TREE SERVICE AND LANDSCAPING LLC. They took the payment for a retaining wall project, but after that, completely disappeared. They stopped answering calls, didn’t respond to emails, and failed to show up to do the work as promised.

I would strongly advise against hiring them, as they seem to take your money and then ghost you. This is unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. Beware of this contractor if you want to avoid frustration and financial loss.

This company provided a professional experience from start to finish. They were extremely responsive to my emails and were able to complete the job six days after our first interaction. I had two rather large trees trimmed up and not only did they complete the job within a few hours, they also educated me on why a tree cannot have too many limbs taken off.

I am very confused on why there are so many one star reviews? Alameda charged a fiat price for this job and I would gladly recommend them to my friends and family!
